  1. It's defense bonuses are rather impressive for a ring, so it's probably a good thing to use if you're tanking hits a lot, but not necessarily going to deal much damage (for example, abyss/ZMI rc at lower levels). But yeah I never use mine.
  2. Back in the days when Tui only had 44 prestige@@@ @SQUAB: "A" For Effort
  3. Elite void is comparable to black dhide, more or less, and has a much better prayer bonus. It falls short of Karil's magic defense by 15 points, but again, has the prayer bonus. Karil does tend to make a difference in the long run, but at Waterfiends with Soul Split, Turmoil, and a Steel Titan, you won't really need that extra defense, so Elite Void would be the better option.
  4. Call me crazy, OP, but I think I remember you from someplace, somewhere. No idea where, but your name just gives me that deja vu feeling. How about you? Also, nowadays I find "hyt" is still used. Oftentimes I'll do a farm run or something and I'll get one. I think it's just far less common and it's certainly a trend I've noticed.
  5. Not gonna lie w99 was being a total [bleep] today too.
  6. Yes, a Godsword DOES hit higher and more often. But what do you expect when it has higher strength and attack bonuses? However, the point made is that it is far slower, and as a result in the long run, the SS does more damage since it'll get more rounds of combat per hour. That's the simple way of explaining it. Also, may I recommend you relocate your training spot to the Skeleton Monkeys underground or the Zombie Monkeys in the temple, if you have a Salve Amulet? They are both far faster in terms of xp. The only drawback is that you must pay for ppots, but since ppots are so cheap nowadays there's hardly any reason not to.
  7. Assuming the figure of 1/256 is correct, the chances of you killing up to 1100 tormented demons and not getting a claw drop is 1.89%. (If you count your 100 duo kills, it's a 1.5% chance.) Which is rather rare, but not at all hard to believe. Just gotta keep at it ;)
  8. I wanna know whose smartass idea it was to make the 3bo world on one of the official PC worlds.
  9. I thought Hope and Dread were both hex-able? Plus, meleeing Dread isn't half-bad as long as 3+ people aren't doing it. With just 2 meleers, Dread is still a breeze since it's always just gonna run around for the magers instead of targetting the meleers. And you always have the option of being the blocker for Hope, instead of actually killing it.
  10. Saw the title, thought it was a troll thread. Looked in thread, and realized this is actually a pretty damn good idea if the conditions were met. So, IF Jagex makes the update and IF people are willing to do sub-par thieving xp for a little more gp, I suppose yes, it's a good idea. However, that being said I doubt it'll ever be a particularly popular method.
  11. Oh, so Inconsistent? Damn Japanese-English turnover.
  12. Well in that case, certainly try out Veracs, because you may simply find that you enjoy using it better than ZS/stab weapons. From an efficiency standpoint, there is never a reason to use Veracs, because you'd either be using a Slayer Helm or not killing them at all. But if you are just hunting them for fun, you might as well experiment with as many different setups as you can, because each method accommodates a different style of killing. So yeah, Veracs IS a viable option, and certainly try it because it does work. Not sure if it's better than ZS + extremes, however. I'm fairly certain it is not.
  13. Who is Moody? Btw I'm going to sit this tournament out, due to heavy testing in May/June. Sorry.
  14. My question is why you are killing miths off-task when you have more or less maxed melees.
  15. Gate HT when the dungeon begins. After 1-2 GDs or just killing random weak monsters in the beginning when you got nothing to do, you should be able to make at least 20 casts of air/fire surge. It's not like you'll really need to gate a door in the first 5 mins anyway. EDIT: I find the biggest source of money, outside of cashpile drops, at least in the beginning, are usually from green charms. If you know no one in your team will be using crimson charms, you can afford to use those as well. (Except if it's a necro floor, in which case save 1 crimson charm so the blocker can make a t8 skinweaver from salve eels.) Also, waaaay too many people leave rune ess drops alone. Picking up all the rune ess drops in a dungeon easily numbers at least 500 ess, and sometimes I get as much as 700-1k.
  16. every1 noes that girls h8 2 kill things and wud rather frolick in fields with ponies and rainbows I am playing a video game you know I kinda like the titles though, some of them are funny, and 'most damage' just seems boring. I'm glad that all 3 combat styles are used and it gives some competition between people in floors, it encourages people ^^ ICanHasHeimCrab? Nice one...
  17. This. You talk about avoiding or out-hitting the bots, but ignored the simplest possible solution. Just kill them. Why do work when you can make the bots do it for you?
  18. You can also just kill the Green Dragon bots.
  19. Too bad they probably fired that genius for doing something right. RIP Ggs-man
  20. Breeding a male one with a ditto doesn't pass on the DW ability does it?
  21. I swear to god that game is impossible. It lags like I'm trying to watch 9001 movies at once and the physics of the game are just terrible. Looks like I will have to do without Magic Mirror Espeon...
  22. It's counter-intuitive, but CSB works pretty well on Necrolord, actually. Granted, it's not better than range, but it's an alternative that works well if you can't get your hands on arrows quickly. The focus here is on speed. Don't make arrows if you can help it. A better solution is just to buy fractite arrows with the money you may have. But if you dont have money, just mage Necrolord. Avoid actually making stuff at all costs. (Exception here is range armor if you can do it losslessly.) With very few exceptions, you should learn how to do all puzzle rooms without clearing. Having a hood will help a ton, but utilizing tricks such as getting colored vials in between combat hits or stepping out of the room to carve blocks should help. Of course, some puzzle rooms are guardian doors (bridge rooms, etc.).
