Waterfiend help
For the ring, take a Zerker, since the Warrior ring only boosts slash and you won't need a life. You are going to have a LOT of trouble without a bunyip/guthans. I recommend buying at least guthans for this.

[Help Wanted!] Mining: A Complete Guide
Well Coal is still a good 40gp or so ahead of iron, although in truth iron is most likely better money since, as you said, you can 1-hit it.

Preparing for p2p
You burn through money quick in members, I suggest using your time in f2p to gather a reasonable amount of money.

I hit more often with my dds than my whip on the Ice demon though, which I thought was kind of odd.

My theory on abbysal demons
More of a General Discussion topic than Help and Advice, but whatever. When Jagex makes monsters, they have to input values for their stats. This means abyssal demons could very well be simply weaker black demons. Plus, consider that Jagex is made out of humans, who are naturally lazy beings. Why make up stats when you could copy a pre-existing one and have the same effect? Although no one outside of Jagex can really prove this.

What's the point of spending 1/2mill on a gravestone...
Yes, it's true you lost 250k item when the gravestone costs 500k. That is perhaps unreasonable on Jagex's part. But the 500k gravestone can potentially save so much MORE than 500k, it's worth it anyway.

What 99 do go for...
It's more or less the same speed as cooking, but even though it can't match the likes of farming/thieving/etc., it's still one of the faster skills.

What 99 do go for...
You can't say firemaking isn't fast. It's extremely fast, 140k+ even in f2p. Using higher-level logs, you can top 200k xp/hr. Although yeah, firemaking isn't easy and it certainly isn't very common. It's just fairly cheap and fast.

I find myself stuck on those two. Mainly because I'm having lots of difficulty finding a hole to advance.

thinking of playing runescape again after over a year
Def yes, summoning no. You need 41 summoning for one of the required quests. (Curse of Arrav.) Actually, summoning yes as well. I don't know if you were around for this, but Jagex made a system where your summoning level does not affect your combat level in PvP worlds so long as you do not have a familiar summoned or a pouch/scroll in your inventory. Therefore, you can get the 41 summoning for Curse of Arrav and feel no penalty while pking in terms of combat level range.

Ava's Accumalator or Trimmed Skillcape During Chinning?
Take a Skillcape/Ardy Cape. Here's why: It is true that most of your costs come from the chinchompas. And at first, it seems like it's best to maximize your ranged bonus and therefore get the most out of every chin, thus saving you more money than if you made the most out of each prayer point. However, that goes by the assumption that the improvements caused by ranged bonus is a linear function. In reality, it is not a linear function. In other words, the more ranged bonus you have, the less improvement you will see per each ranged bonus point. Therefore, the +4 ranged the accumulator gives is barely noticeable. You will not hit any higher, since it doesn't add to your ranged strength. You WILL hit more often, but this improvement is very, very slim because without that +4, you already do extremely well. Thus, it is better to has a +4/6 in prayer, because it is extremely noticeable when compared to ranged bonus.

Stat boosters come to mind, Curses go without an equal to Piety until level 95.

What I did was play heavy defense on the left-wing, and whenever I had a chance (admitably not often), I sent a Barbarian to the right-wing to capture a few villages. I also kept a Hellhound/Ranger on the right side to deal with anything threatening that side. On the left is where the action is. Simply play heavy defense, as I mentioned. Pretty soon there will be tons of bones. From there, summon a Necromancer. Keep playing heavy defense until you have a few skeletons. Then you can take advantage of the fact that skirmish units (ie, the skeletons) are fairly high on the AI's priority, and the fact that a unit can only attack once. Send in all your skeletons, which will absorb the bulk of the impact, then have a Ranger or something Portal-Camp. The AI rarely summons lions. I dealt with perhaps 3 the entire time. In Mort'ton, if you gave the AI a choice between a lion and 3 Paladins, it would pick the Paladins.

Please help me plan 80 to 99 farming.
I agree with almost everything said above. A few notes: -Payment for Maples aren't THAT hard to buy, just don't expect it to instantly buy. Leave in an offer for 1k and in ~3 days you'll have them all bought. -STATISTICALLY speaking, the payment should not exceed 10% of the seed's cost. However, you must take into account the fact that xp is guaranteed if you pay. So generally speaking, you should pay for all trees bar yews and willows. Calquats violate the rule above, but since it offers such a great amount of xp for a cost that isn't THAT much more than 10%, it's worth it. -Farm bushes, that's poison ivy for you. -I know some people like to farm allotments. I personally never saw the point, but I would recommend strawberries over watermelons if you do. If you need further help, take a look at my farming guide, link is in my sig.

Aggressive monsters
Thanks I'm glad they are helpful! I have a mining one in the works as well. It's in the beginning guides forum and the section on mining for profit is done, if you wanna check that out it might be useful as well. Yeah those bats should obey the "double + 1" rule.

So..How do we figure out which CPU Usage to use?
Well not enough time has elapsed for me to be sure, but I've noticed that when set on the lowest option, Runescape stops randomly freezing while I play on Google Chrome.

What 99 do go for...
Ivy is superior in terms of XP, Sawmill is even better. Eucs beat out Yews for money, and Special Log Teaks are extremely promising as well.

99 farming
In essence, I probably did end up spending over 100m. But in reality, I ended up with more money than I started with because of how spread out the costs were. Never once did I have to downgrade my farming program because I was running low on cash (only did that once to allow money for other projects). If you are going for 99 farming, trust me. Have the first 10-15 runs banked and the rest of the trip pays for itself.

Aggressive monsters
Those are special locations, but there are other exceptions as well. Certain monsters, even in "normal" locations, are always aggressive to all players. For example, Flesh Crawlers (level 28 being the lowest) and Giant Spiders (level 50) in the SoS are aggressive to ALL players, even 138 ones. Meanwhile, other monsters in the SoS, such as Zombies, etc. behave like normal aggressive monsters. This violation of the "double + 1" rule doesn't really have an explanation. You just need to know that some monsters do not follow the "double + 1" rule. Most monsters (outside of those special locations) do.

What about dragon bones?
Assuming you have no better moneymaker, that is.

Waterfiends different method?
It does not work, the same way that praying mage in Guthans does not work. It's not that the range attack is STRONGER, it's that the range attack is so much more COMMON. So if the range and mage attack both have roughly the same strength, but the range attack is used 3x more, you'd take 3x more damage from range.

Pokemon Thread
Yes, it only works on those two, but it's banned overall. Besides if using it on Latias/Latios was banned, but using it on others was not, you can expect to see some trick-centralized shenanigans. There are plenty of other "useless" items you can make Pokemon hold. Icy Rock, for example, is totally useless since no Pokemon's role is to set-up a hailstorm using the move Hail.

99 farming
Thanks guys! I started with Palms/Maples, switched to Palms/Yews and even did 1 or two runs with Magics over the summer. Near the end of the summer I was also considering getting 99 magic/smithing (neither of which happened btw, lol) so I went "low steam", using Pineapples and Willows. When I abandoned that goal, I switched back to Papayas/Maples and by the time summer had 1-2 weeks left I was back on Palms/Maples until I got 99. So 93-99 I did with Palms/Maples/Calquats and it took roughly 1.5-2 months.

^ Same reason why I love using Regigigas on a semi-stall team. They kinda just go like, "ok how do I deal with this?" and when they see that their first few hits don't work and change to their Fighting Type, Regigigas is dealing out 160 Base Attack + STAB Returns :P
