  1. But that's an assumption, and if we were to follow all the assumptions in life, then we would assume a lot of wrong stuff.
  2. It's not 4 hours of recorded xp, it's 2 hours of each. There is a difference. The margin of error is bigger. 2 hours really ISN'T conclusive. It's general, but it's still prone to error/inconsistencies.
  3. I thought a tsunami was caused by an earthquake in deep sea, causing titanic waves, while a hurricane is a wind storm that has picked up debris such as water?
  4. Still, it isn't enough to be conclusive. Now I'm not saying that my information is the absolute truth, but I am saying that from my observations it seems that the dpick gives no SIGNIFICANT benefit (although it still gives a little).
  5. I basically timed myself for 2 hours at living rock caverns with rune pick, got 45k/hr, and dpick, 50k/hr. If you're going to say that a piece of game content has no benefits, I think the burden of proof lies on you. Well 1 hour for each isn't conclusive either, is it? My information has no numberical proof, but it does have observations that I have taken, and many of the other miners have taken. The dpick gives no significant benefit.
  6. It's on the SCHOOL record, but colleges do not see that. So pretty much your principle has a record of your ISSes, but college admissions will never see it.
  7. Yeah...exactly. That's the point. Oftentimes when we say "good" or "evil", we actually mean "for us" (protagonist) or "against us" (antagonist) because in real life there is no real line separating good deeds from evil deeds, but instead many shades of grey. So it is wrong to call Scarabas "evil", because as the OP stated, it's relative. We, the player, see him as evil because...well, his minions did try to kill us, right? Also, our allies (Sophanem) consider them "evil", and therefore we tend to see Scarabites as "evil" as well, when in reality they are really only protecting themselves and exhibiting their culture.
  8. 1. But is there a way to ensure it is a diverse skiller? Only then could it perhaps replace the consequences of the Guardians. 2. Long respawn? At least 45 minutes imo. And personally, I don't care whether the miners get bored or not. You don't need to entertain them, and besides you can kill stuff/mine other ores there anyway. 3. How about the curse is on the equipment slot, as you mentioned, but the cursed slot repels all other divine equipment in that slot, as opposed to damaging? 4. I don't understand why you want blizzard > tsunami.
  9. On the topic of salamanders, it should be noted that using a RED salamander is actually a plausible option over the Black Salamander. It's only about 10-20% slower, but the ammo is 50% the cost of the black salamander's ammo. For richer players, the extra speed may make the black sally worth it, or they may simply not care about the extra few thousand spent. But for poorer players, it's worth mentioning.
  10. You can remedy the Papaya problem (somewhat) with a Fruit Bat. There's an unlimited source (or at least, as much as you take) and is a lot cheaper than just buying the fruit.
  11. On the topic of good vs. evil, oftentimes you can fix this by simply replacing them as being mainly "protagonists" or "antagonists" in quest storylines, or other such small stories. For example, Scarabas isn't evil, but he is certainly the antagonist in a few of the desert quests. Zamorak is definitely an antagonist, since your character usually works against him (the Elven Storyline, and the Myreque Storyline, for example). This, however, gets a bit complex since Zamorak isn't ALWAYS the antagonist, but he usually is. That's worth noting.
  12. Now I live in NY and perhaps the system is different from you, but... Typically, people who receive ISS do not have it placed on their permanent record. Only OSS gets
  13. There is NO significant benefit (perhaps the biggest benefit is psychological) of the dpick over the rune pick at Living Rock Caverns. There is a benefit at Rune, but since you only mine ~50 ores/hour (if you're good), the benefit isn't very significant. If you were mining something like regular gold, you'd really see the difference because you are mining hundreds of ores per hour. But at Rune? It'll maybe save 1-2 minutes per hour? You really won't see the benefits. So if you intend to mine with the dpick at Concentrated Gold/Coal or at Rune, forget it. It's not worth it. Speaking of mining Rune, take a look at my WIP mining guide. I have finished a huge section of the best way to mine Rune. I plan to have a Living Rocks section up in the future. Here's the link since it's not in my sig: http://forum.tip.it/topic/248409-mining-a-complete-guide
  14. By powertraining, I'm sure he means "no dropping" or "no excessive clicking", not "no fast xp". Great to see you around man, been a while :) To answer your question, you pretty much got it all right. Maybe I would go to the Sawmill instead of Ivy. It's more concentration, but better xp, and still doesn't involve heavy clicking (and is still multitask-able, just not as MUCH as ivy). Concentrated Gold is the way to go for mining. I recommend mining it on world 84, since it is the "unofficial" world. My estimate is that there is 100 or so people down in the caverns on that world, so you will rarely, if ever, take damage. I'm also working on a mining guide (currently in Beginning Guides). It's not totally finished, but the "Mining for Profit" section is, so perhaps something in there will interest you. But to be frank, at 85+ mining you either want to do rune, granite, or concentrated gold if you mine at all. Oh, you should also mine stars. They are great xp and good profit, and they are also fun. I strongly recommend it. For fishing, you could also switch to Cavefish when you can, instead of doing Monks until Rocktail. Like Concentrated Gold, fish these in world 84 so you take the least damage by the Living Rock Guardians. For hunter, red chins is really the ONLY good way to train hunter above level 80. However, I believe Jagex said it is working on improving the Imp-Catching minigame. So if you have patience and are willing to gamble a little, you could wait till they release that in a few months. See you around :) EDIT: Link to aforementioned mining guide (WIP): http://forum.tip.it/topic/248409-mining-a-complete-guide/
  15. Get 60/70+ all stats. That should keep you busy for a while. And along the way, you might discover you truly enjoy doing. You can then fall back on that activity in future bouts with boredom.
  16. 1. I get what you mean with the agility/thieving obstacles now. I agree with the general idea, although agility/thieving alone doesn't ensure a diverse skiller. It just ensures the skiller trained agility/thieving. 2. On pricing, if that is what I mentioned, then it needs to be changed. The Divinite equipment should be much more expensive that the numbers you mentioned. 3. On curse, that still allows swapping armors in combat, which really shouldn't be allowed without consequences.
  17. The best thing to do is farm trees and fruit trees. Buy the more expensive seeds if you want quicker levels. This is really the best way. Of course, you should throw in herbs for great profit and decent xp and bushes for a significant xp boost/profit. If you need further help, let me direct you to my AoW farming guide. The link is in my sig.
  18. No, but I do have this, if it is of any help: http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc148/Fuzzy-Chimp-07/SailingInHighscores.jpg
  19. Exploding on a Lagging Tail trick is redundant. Why not just explode off the bat, without tricking? Although otherwise, Lagging Tail does a good job of really shutting down anything that isn't a tank to begin with. Come to think of it, Bronzong isn't very good at shutting down tanks, since you normally want to have access to Hypnosis/Explosion without a Choice Scarf/Band. Macho Brace is probably still better, unless you use Iron Ball + Heatproof for mindgames, as you said. Levitate is simply one of the best abilities, and looked at objectively, ground is used more than fire, so it's better to have ground IMMUNITY as opposed to NEUTRALITY to fire.
  20. 150k xp/hr isn't even 1 hour of chinchompas. Go for it.
  21. You could always just use a Chinchompa Guide, and simply replace the appropriate gear.
  22. Hmm, had an idea for a support Bronzong. Bronzong is one of the sturdiest Pokemon in the game, with only one weakness: Fire, and great defenses. Bronzong also has access to a large number of decent moves. So I was building an offensive team, and of course needed a Pokemon that could take down walls/threats for my main sweepers. Bronzong @ Macho Brace 0 spd IV 252def/252 spdef/4hp Def/Sp Def boosting nature, probably leaning more toward Def, but definitely something lowering speed. -Gyro Ball -Explosion -Trick -Hypnosis Right off the bat, Bronzong hits anything with higher than ~200 speed with a full power Gyro Ball + STAB. Next, Bronzong can trick its Macho Brace onto a threatening sweeper, halving its speed. This really shuts down Pokemon like Salamence and Latias, provided Latias doesn't have Trick as well. Bronzong can also hypnotize something and take it out of the game. Lastly, it can explode, taking a useful item (perhaps a Life Orb or Choice Item) away from your opponent if you've received it through Trick. I've used this on a team, and it works very well at taking down a problem Pokemon. Although it technically can shut down 3 (excluding KOs with Gyro Ball), you usually can't get that many due to the lack of a recovery move (although perhaps remedied by a Wish user such as Vaporeon). Another option would be to use an Iron Ball, which also removes immunity to ground type attacks in addition to halving speed. Lagging Tail is also an option to ensure the other Pokemon always moves last, but doesn't power up Gyro Ball. So what do you guys think?
  23. That's the reason why the Divine weapons were balanced out with the Divine armor.
  24. Well based on my observations to 99 farming, there did seem to be an ever so slight increase, but it's negligible really. Still, it's good to know that it is there.
  25. 1. I'm not all too concerned with the backstory, tbh. I'd rather just set up a general theme, the theme of it being empowered by divine forces, and let Jagex fit it in how they feel is best. 2. I do not believe this should be an update for anything other than mining/smithing (and combat, of course, but that's a given). Adding thieving/agility obstacles would just make this a high-level update, not an update to help smithing. The reason why there is a quest requirement and in a heavily guarded area is because that's the only way to ensure danger. I do like skiller pures. I respect what they do and I admire their dedication. However, I do not believe the game should be catered toward pures of any type. If they choose to not train combat, that's fine, but let no one else suffer because of it. You cannot add agility/thieving obstacles simply because you want skillers to be able to mine it. It's their own fault for not training combat. Of course, the obvious counter is "but then you are FORCING people to be high leveled in combat", which is true. But while agility/thieving is avoidable, being high-leveled in combat is not. If there was no combat requirement, that would mean the area is relatively safe. So it's better to sacrifice the support of a handful of people than to have a suggestion that does not work. 3. Armor is armor. Armor is not regalia. Armor is not something that should easily be bought and sold. It is armor. If you are wearing it for something outside of its supposed purpose, then you are the one at fault; not the armor. Sure you can't skill effectively with heavy armor on, but then again, was that heavy armor designed for you to skill in? 4. (On the pricing.) It seems to me that you took a wild guess at the price of the weapon. I'm not entirely sure where you got 10 ores/hr from. I don't think I mentioned that as a "goal amount". Actually, given the slow respawn and unique location, as well as dangers, I'd imagine you get more like 1-3 per hour. Remember that it WILL be the best armor currently avaliable. At the moment, the whip is clearly outclassed by PvP weapons (which like Divine, degrade), yet the whip is still in high demand. Dragon armor is clearly worse than barrows, yet it is still often used. It's not that the whip and the current generation of items will "crash" or become "underused", it's just that the elite players, the ones who have tons of money, will no longer have an interest in them. It's like when Jagex added Spirit Shields. They didn't make the DFS crash into uselessness. It simply made the rich players use Spirit Shields over the DFS. The DFS did the same with the rune defender. It didn't make the rune defender useless, it just made the players who could afford the DFS have something better to use (although given the rune defender is better than the DFS in many instances).
