  1. I'm pretty sure it's not 1.5x, something more like 1.33x You'd be much safer doing it in the Rouge's Den, where the buy price is automatically the high alch price. No calculations needed.
  2. Zaaps1

    Smash Club.

GoldWave I have, can you give me a link to the other one? I used Androu1's tool along with GoldWave and successfully made one, but it's not playing in-game for whatever reason :|
  3. I'm not Zaaps1, but I'll try to answer your questions as far as possible. The "curse" thing is to stop the armor/weapons from being overpowered and prevent combos with many divine weapons at once. Damage reduction isn't a big deal. It might seem like it is, because it is the first time it's happening. Let me give you an example: Of 10 hits, 4 hit. Assuming average damage = 10, total 10x4 = 40 damage. Of 10 hits, 8 hit. Assuming average damage is the same, but resistance is 50%, you'll do 5x8 = 40 damage. Of 10 hits, 6 hit. Assuming average damage is the same, but resistance is 25%, you'll do 7.5x6=45 damage. The items being tradeable was to bring back life back into smithing and mining, so the miners/smiths could earn $$$ with their high levels in their skills. Without it, all they could gain is more power in combat. Which is exactly what I would've wrote to reply. If the equipment was untradeable, it would fail to bring the essence of smithing back. As far as I know, a round of combat is determined by your weapon's attack speed. Snakes are Guthix's chosen animal, who this idea is largely centered on. I suppose you could allow higher familiars to be sacrificed and get those extra effects. I'll think about it.
  4. This has been around since the genesis of alching. Ever since then, people have accidentally alched valuables. I haven't personally done it yet, but the chances of me doing it in the futures are fairly high. It's such a common spell, and with the items we get/bring to training spot/alching training, it becomes not a question of "will", but a question of "when". We all share, or will share your pain. But, sorry, there's simply nothing that can be done. The cure would most likely be worse than the disease, as there are practical items people alch that are in your "valuable" range (rune swords, for one). The issue has been around for a very long time, but just taking a few extra precautions, whether its rearranging your inventory setups or just not rushing when you alch, can greatly reduce the chances of this occuring. Sorry that you lost your slayer helm, but it simply can't be helped. What you CAN do is learn from this to be more careful. Personally, I don't even bring alching runes to training spots anymore. If it's not worth my carrying to the bank at the end of the trip, it probably wasn't worth it anyway.
  5. Where did the x^160 come from?
  6. Wow, I just remember I had this. Reread it and it seems like it's too extreme now that I know more of where Jagex is going. Some part certainly will not be added, I see now. I'm bumping this for reader's enjoyment, if anyone bothers to read it. However I also want feedback. Does anyone think any of the concepts in this suggestion are usable?
  7. Gp/xp wise, each tree gets less efficient as its level requirement increases. On Runescape Wiki, there is a calculator that tells you the gp/xp of every tree. Just know that the most efficient tree is technically the acorn. You have to keep increasing the level and decide when enough is enough.
  8. Fruit Bat, anything else really isn't worth it imo.
  9. Lucien is lvl. 14 and has 1 hp actually and lives next door to g.e., just see for yourself. He wasn't a god then and he presumably still isn't.
  10. Humidify is trash (both the profit and nonprofit ways). Alching is better than it. I would STRONG ADVISE you to ice burst at 70-99, and at 86 and/or 94 switch to the respective barrage spell. You will get TONS of charms (enough to take summoning into the 90s) and roughly 6-7m HP xp.
  11. Iirc? 5k less than what? 5k less than 80k? Or less than the more conservative 70k? IIRC= If I re-call correctly I still need a few of these answered. Nice job so far! Anyone got any ideas on the fletching one? Mith bolts are 240k and addy bolts are 480k, broad is 180k w/240k profit. Pretty sure you can cut ~1.4k logs per hour, no idea on stringing.
  12. Imo, Verac's skirt is better than Torags because I always am praying something when I train, so the prayer boost comes in handy.
  13. Oh, I see you got the magic level for neither. In that case cast Superheat Item on iron (faster xp but with loss) or mithril (roughly half the xp but breaking even/profit).
  14. I see you're racing  Well the most efficient way to train magic is to burst/barrage rock lobsters. This is the best in the long run. However, one of the most cost effective ways to level magic EXCLUSIVELY would be Plankmake. (110k magic xp/60k hp xp/220 crims of xp at rock lobs per hour, compared to 145k-160k+ magic xp alone with plank make.)
  15. I would imagine you'd take a War Tortoise full of food with a Unicorn pouch. This way you maximize your Tortoise for the easier bosses and save the Unicorn for the harder ones.
  16. The Rouges Den and Bandit Camp (wilderness) general stores buy items for high alch price.
  17. You only need 62 for snaps. Btw, if you have done enough difficult maths, you should be getting a +3 from a 2 does the optimum. So you're right, scratch that then.
  18. hmm thanks, but may I ask how about how much more xp you gain for this? and about how much money you sacrifice for it? (I know price changes and so rc lvl, so no need accurate answer, just "~") About 250k if you count every cost and gain. 45k xp/hour, compare that to the ~30k-35k you're getting at ZMI.
  19. Iirc? 5k less than what? 5k less than 80k? Or less than the more conservative 70k?
  20. And evil dave herblore. Remember if time spend on evil dave < time spend on training, then go for evil dave. Your cat have a 0.25 chance to get the right colour and a binary chance (0.5) for every extra does up to 3 does. To add something for your comfusion. Assume you ignore the +0 stews. +1 from evil dave is 0.5 chance for a 1/2/3 does stew +2 from evil dave is 0.25 chance for a 1 does stew but 0.375 chance for a 2 does, 0.416 for a 3 does. +3 from evil dave is 0.25 chance for 2 does, 0.33 chance for 3does. +4 from evil dave is 0.125 chance for 2 does, 0.25 chance for 3 does. +5 from evil dave is 0.16 chance for 3 does. +6 from evil dave is 0.08 chance for 3 does. (DO remember, you need extra time for an extra does, which is a 0.375 chance that either you get it as a bonus does or your cat get it in its next swing. i.e.: the time need for a +1 in a 3 does stew is [[time for buying stews in lumbridge chest]+[time for a catch]+[1-bonus chance]*[time for a catch]^[number of does-1]] /[chance for getting the level from stew]) But also remember, the stew is a TEMPORARY BOOST while levelling makes it permanent. If the skill is useful after the required level, then all the level boosters in the world don't make a difference. This is the case with farming, since 65 allows you to grow snapdragons, but it is partially negated due to two facts: you can bring a Stranger Plant on your herb runs to allow you to farm snaps, and the fact that snaps aren't always the best thing to grow anyway.
  21. That was most likely me posting that. Anyways. Yes, it does match ZMI. In fact, it is the fastest runecrafting xp achievable until the mid-80s, and which case ZMI takes over. This is purely for xp, since you actually LOSE quite a bit of money from this. So if you have the money and you got 82 magic, steam runes are much better than ZMI until the mid-80s. EDIT: Xp/hour is around 45k if you have all 4 pouches and craft efficiently.
