  1. Or your opponents are not risking 26k. How are your drops?
  2. The only places the SS is better is at Waterfiends and Gargolyes. Everywhere else, the whip is better, making the whip a better weapon overall. Even when training strength, whip on controlled is better than SS for strength, then whipping for attack and defense.
  3. The problem I have with Crocune is that the only thing it can do is Surf, which isn't bad, but I need to take down more than just rock types/ground types and I don't think I'll have the time for it to set up CMs. That's why I was considering Rotom-W, since it can use Shadow Ball and Thunderbolt/Discharge for good coverage of Rampardos' weaknesses, and has access to Hydro Pump to cover the rock types/ground types. What I meant was, how does a bird spin itself quick enough? Especially one carrying a huge bag... EDIT: You think I should go for Protect or X-Scissor on Ninjask?
  4. are there any guides to this and what is the loss per hr doing this? Zarfot's RC guide is the only one I know of with a good instruction on Steam runes, although it's really pretty straightforward. You craft them the same way as fires, except you use pure ess and bring a binding necklace, magic imbue casts, and water runes to the altar. Loss is ~200k.
  5. Double post 3 hours apart? You should be fine, although I would still advise you to chin the entire way. The speed is worth it.
  6. How much profit is charging air orbs, btw?
  7. Thanks! However my team needs a Rser. I'll probably end up using Starmie. EDIT: Adjusted my team so that an RS isn't as important, but still needed. So I'm going to take Starmie because it isn't exclusively an RS'er and I don't really need [bleep]es or Toxic [bleep]es that much. The team I am building is largely centered on Ninjask baton passing a Rampardos a few speed boosts and possibly a swords dance so it can utterly destroy with 4 different attacks and I think it was 165 base attack. However the baton passing will be later in the game since I need the rest of my team to take care of significant weaknesses of Rampardos, like phazers, etc. Atm, here's what I got: Lead: Electrode, which will outspeed anything except Ninjasks and possibly other Electrode. I'm thinking of giving it Taunt, Thunderbolt, and Explosion. The last slot will probably be something for type coverage. I can also use it later in the game to Explode one something threatening. Lucario, with Swords Dance, Extremespeed, Close Combat, and Crunch, to take care of the mess Rampardos will leave when its gone Ninjask and Rampardos as the core Starmie as a rapid spinner For the last slot I was thinking either Suicune or Rotom-W for type coverage of Rampardos' weaknesses. Rotom-W is better coverage but I could use Suicune to sweep is the baton passing fails. EDIT2: How does Delibird learn Rapid spin? Lol
  8. Hmm? Are you sure? There's a possibility that someone came in and attacked them until they switched attacks, and you just came in after they switched. I killed 6 in a test run and even though 3 of them were hitting differently, the one that respawned always hit mage, could have been a coincidence though. Highly unlikely to be the case since almost every demon was using a different attack. Many other players are also observing the same things.
  9. Yes, roughly 500-600 for those. However, if you use any alternate location, you will need A LOT more for some reason... None of those tasks you listed should take more than 2k cannonballs for 199, exception are bloodvelds. Take 3k for those. Black demons may also require 3k. Suqahs and Scarabites, due to their small task size, never require more than 700 or so cannonballs. But those are at my stats with my slaying style. I would take 100-500 more cannonballs for your first task of those, then adjust from there.
  10. But how much xp/hour are aviansies? Like 40k with about 300k profit? Red chins would be 340k per hour at 1m loss. So that's a 300k xp difference for 1.3m. 1 hour of red chins would then equal 8.5 hours of aviansies. So that's a 3.5m difference for 7.5 hours. If you can make over 500k per hour, Aviansies are worse than chins. Of course, these are with red chins. If you calculated for grey chins, it'd be something like 300k per hour.
  11. I recommend cannoning Scarabites. The swamp ones are pathetic compared to the "dangerous" location. You only use like 500-600 cannonballs and the task will take 6 minutes. You get a lot of crimson charms and have a chance to break even. Also consider cannoning Warped Terrorbirds.
  12. Is there any decent Pokemon that can Rapid Spin and U-Turn/Explode? EDIT: Besides Forretress, I need something a little faster.
  13. whats the new update??? I don't read JaGex News Doesn't matter, it was hidden. 2 things, TDs, along with every other monster, has better AI now. If you hit them and they cannot hit you back, they will start to back away/wander. This means safespots no longer work. The other thing is that TDs' default attack is no longer mage. When you walk in, they can use any of their 3 attacks on you. For example, they can start attack with range now. This makes TDs a lot harder to kill and a lot more dangerous.
  14. viewtopic.php?f=66&t=765267&start=0 This has been debated for 80 pages on this thread and there still is no conclusive answer.
  15. You may not be rich, but I STRONGLY RECOMMEND cannoning anyway. It's not a matter of how much money you have, it's a matter of how much money you can MAKE. For example, dagannoths with a cannon will cost ~200k and take 20 minutes. Without a cannon, it will make roughly 50 minutes but at no cost. You are therefore paying 200k to save 30 minutes of time, which means if you can make over 400k an hour (ridiculously easy) then you should cannon dagannoths. Even with a cannon, you will end up profiting in the end. Here's the task list with their speeds: Dagannoths: 80k Bloodvelds: 56k (up to 59k with Steel Titan) Warped Terrorbirds: 51k Scabarites: 50k Suqahs: 50k Aberrant Spectres: 46k (up to 48k with Steel Titan) Black Demons (range or halberd + cannon): 40k Goraks: 37k Kalphites: 36k Fire Giants (melee + cannon): 35k Dark Beasts: 36k (1k to 2k less if you need to do 2 trips) Dust Devils: 28k (up to 33k with Steel Titan) Spiritual Mages: 25k (up to 27k with Steel Titan) Abyssal Demons: 25k Gargoyles: 25k Skeletal Wyverns: 24k (1k to 2k less if you have to do 2 trips) Nechryaels: 24k (up to 27k with Steel Titan) Waterfiends: 23k (up to 26k with Steel Titan) Black Dragons: 23k (baby black dragons) Hellhounds: 22k (1k to 5k more if you pick up fewer charms) Greater Demons: 21k Aquanites: 20k Iron Dragons: 17k (up to 19k if you have dragon slayer gloves) Steel Dragons: 14k Mithril Dragons: 9k Remember you will not get these rates unless you pray piety, use the best gear, best familiars, and have maxed stats, but it should tell you (if you use the most efficient killing methods) which tasks will be the fastest and which should be the slowest. You have Irons, Steels, and Hells blocked. I would block Aquanites next. Miths are only assigned in 4-7, so they are not a problem, so Aquas are the next slowest thing you have unblocked. Remember that you will average 24 slayer points per task if you always use Duradel. So that means every 3 tasks, you can cancel roughly 2 times. Know this, and use this fact to cancel the slower tasks that you get. That means only the top 1/3 of this list should be the tasks you do if you want to maximize your slayer xp/hour. The rest of them you should cancel, since you will have enough points to do so.
  16. They aren't named "Scarabite", I believe they are "Scarab Lancers" or "Locust Riders". Something to that effect. If you search "Locust" or "Rider" I'm sure you'll find it, you will be killing the Mounted ones with an occasional mage. You need to start Contact to access them, but I STRONGLY RECOMMEND finishing Contact if you haven't already. You can't last too long down there without food, so you need to reload food while you keep your cannon spinning. Completing Contact opens a bank near the ladder to the dungeon. Look at Zarfot's guide for the step-by-step guide to how to arrive there. Wear melee barrows armor. If you have Void, don't use it. You need defense. Bring a DFS if you have one, or a Blessed Spirit Shield. I used a rune defender and I was fine, but the more defense the better. Other than that, just wear the standard melee gear. Bring 1 super set, about 6-8 ppots, a healing familiar (Titan really shines, but bunyip will do. Personally, I would use a BoB until it runs out of stored food, then I would use a healer) and an EE/SGS to spec with (rest is food, don't forget a tele, light source, and tinderbox). When you are down there, PRAY RANGED. Many people incorrectly pray mage. The mages are noob and will barely hit you at all. They are inaccurate and slow.
  17. I would agree to use Chins after 80 or so ranged. Until you get there, here are two fantastic options for you: -cannon ice trolls, you will profit and therefore allow you to compensate a portion of your losses -cannon scarabites in the "dangerous" location. You will ROUGHLY break even or lose a little bit (no where near chins though) and will get more crimsons than Waterfiends and potentially more than Rock lobsters. Use these crims to train summoning up so you can use a ranged familiar while you chin, if applicable. They can add up to 20k extra xp per hour.
  18. (Obby sword + Zerker necklace >) D scimmy > BGS Godswords are junk for training, don't use them for that. The Obsidian sword coupled with the Zerker Necklace is generally better than the d scimmy. However, since you are at AZs, it's better to use the d scim + salve (e). But I mention this for your information, just so you know that if you are not killing the undead, zerker combo is better and stacks with black mask/void.
  19. Generally speaking, the SC needle is not worth it. A tip if you chose dragonhides: The best way to maximize xp AND save money is to tan your hides in Canafis (33% faster than the next best tanner, so it's worth the extra cost) then craft the d hides as you walk back to the bank. Then you bank your dhide bodies and withdraw more dhides, run back to the tanner, and start the process over.
  20. Btw, in BA you cannot use Lunar or Ancients, so you're stuck with the normal spellbook.
  21. Glassmake profits and gets nice magic/crafting xp.
  22. At Skeleton Monkeys I've noticed that for a long time. That's been there and it's the same story with crossbows. However, I've been noticing this more and more with other actions since Runetek5. For example, when mining rune I pause when a Dark Beast attacks me, and this was not the case before. Also I think that the retaliation sensitivity went up. I used to be able to go from the rune rock to the safespot in 1 click, but now I have to click multiple times since if I only click once, my character retaliates against the Dark beast and leaves the safespot. As I said, this was not the case before.
