Playing RS on an iPad is possible and perfectly fine, it is just not practical. Jagex needs to create an auction house app like Blizzard did for wow, so you can manage the Ge from your mobile devices.

The downloadable and installable client you get from the download section of the website is something totally different the the game client itself. All the downloadable client does is create a mini java virtual machine and invoke the game which is stored locally on your hard drive. The game client is held in a jar file stored on the webs servers such as world99.runescape.com. Using an applet stub, it is possible to run it outside of a typical applet as well. In the jar file there are several obfuscated class files which control how the game runs. There is one file in particular which contains a line of which that tests your user rights, if you bypass or remove the test, you get access to the real developer commands. This is against the TOS for the client: So downloading the jar, extracting the classes, deobfuscating them, changing a line of code, and then repacking them to get access to the extended developer console is against the rules and is probably easily detectable. I hope this clears some of the confusion between the different clients and if it breaks the TOS or not.

All you need is some Objective C/C++ knowledge. Because it a) costs money to develop for iOS b) you need a mac. To develop it yourself its free and you can always use a virtual hackintosh. You have to pay for the development kit, unlike Open-source/Windows programs. Only if you want to publish on the app market, and if you publish an app like a GE tool for RS, many people will buy it, offsetting the cost.

I achieved 300k tokkul in about 4 hours of meleeing. I have high 80's/low 90's melee using super set and piety. It would take 13 hours to get 1m tokkul at the rate I am going. So roughly 2-3 days. Watch for the botting people and use them to your advantage to farm for tokkul. Most of them are in the mid 80's - level 100+ and don't hit as high.

@flare, it is done by modifying your user rights within the client (Don't try it). You can only do client side commands, anything server sided(teleports or banning/muting players via the console) will not work and flag your account.

So now bots will be stuck on the interface when they die. ...Until the scripters fix it in 5 minutes.

Jagex needs more dangerous monster lure options to kill bots. The players are way better than their detection system. wait...what if we ARE their detection system?

I have been a long time user myself. I have been active and not very active. I've seen people leave and come back and create forums which ultimately fail. I am just now getting back into RS. I have notice the forums getting more frequently filled with spam posts and trolling posts. I agree more moderation needs to happen, but I think smarter moderation overall needs to take place. Like previously stated, leaving posts which contains posts that include flaming and trolling doesn't really fix anything. These posts and threads needs to be thrown into the trash board and out of general user sight instead of being just locked. I honestly think that the forums need to be refurbished. A thorough overview of policies and current staff needs to be observed and adjusted accordingly. This community is a great community and has its ups and downs, but with cooperation from both the users and the leaders, we can continue to strive.

Today was an amazing day. Today I was pulled off the phones into the office of my supervisor's supervisor. My supervisor, his supervisor, the call center operations manager, and the on-site Verizon wireless cooperate lady was in the room with expressionless faces. I [cabbage] my pants at first. The lady from Verizon Wireless handed me a pink paper and said to read it in a monotone voice. I thought I was being fired, but it turned out to be a 1,000 dollar check for successfully handling a mystery caller from VZW. Along with the check I got a voucher for a free year of any VZW plan and any phone without having to have a contract. Finally my boss asked if I would like to spent 100% of my day on supervisor training instead of half a day. I accepted so now I get to be sent to a special location at a different call center for additional training. VZW is opening up a new call center in 1 month and they would like me to be a starting supervisor for the first 1 month there. They are paying my expenses for 1 month while I finish my training, as well as the month I am help starting the new call center. I finally found something I am good at. Now I can actually afford to waste money on computer parts :). I am taking my parents out to dinner tomorrow to surprise them of my accomplishment.

I got an award today from Verizon Wireless Cooperate office for my customer service skills. Apparently they listened into a call where I taught an elderly lady how to send and receive text messages. The note I received as well stated I was extremely patient and had a polite tone towards the customer. I was frustrated as hell towards the customer LOL. Dunno what smoke they were cracking.

Its working fine for me. Friend server is up, running at 50FPS at the GE. Try ctrl+f5 on the rs applet page and clear your cache.

If you are looking for an OS which will never gonna give up usefulness, never gonna let you down by blue screening, never gonna turn around with a few hundred viruses, which are false, and will never hurt your overall speed. Don't choose windows. I would go for Linux Fedora or Ubuntu. (horrible pun attempt)
