Magic is all about runes. You mess up the whole skill without the runes requirement. I'd rather see cheaper methods to get runes, like shops with more stock and easier crafting.

Every gp you invest in it, is worth it imo. The rewards are great.

I wouldn't say he plays too much, only the easy skills are high. Pretty decent for one year, but no lifing is not needed to get these stats in a year.

I once woke up in the middle of the night because my dad (he just got home) was yelling my name. So I jumped out of bed and asked wth was going on. He said my mom still wasn't home, while she should be (she was out with some friends). I (just woke up) was kinda shocked to hear that. My dad had phoned her friends and they said she was already gone to go to the place were my dad was (my dad was visiting my uncle because of his birthday). But my dad (he was the whole evening at my uncle) didn't see her, and just went home thinking my mom just went home instead of going to my uncle. Then it hit me... My mom had left her friends and went to go to my uncle's place (where my dad was) but never arrived there. She should have arrived hours ago, so everything could have happened. Only 5 minutes after I woke up all kinds of horror stories flashed my mind. My dad (freaking out) didn't make me feel any better... So.. my dad rushed to the phone and said something like "argh, what's the police dept. phone number?" I replied with "who cares?? just ring 112" (that's our 911). At that moment thoughts like: "omg my mom might have had an accident and got herself killed". I was about to completely freak out when I saw some lights on the (quite long) path towards our house (my dad was already on the phone with the 112 lady) so I screamed "look! car lights!" We rushed outside and saw that it was my mom, completely surprised because of our panicky behaviour. It appeared she'd instead of going to my uncle she went to some other friends. The friends that my dad had called didn't know that, so there's where the misunderstanding occured. All this happened in less than 10mins. Absolutely the freakiest way for me to wake up, and thank god it was for nothing. My dad was quite angry though, for my mom not telling that she'd gone somewhere else and tell us (after all, it was 3.30 AM) Well this story probably isn't very clear, but I still feel kinda stressed when thinking of it.

Absolutely nothing special. 1/10 Might be good for playing one hour a day... but absolutely not worth showing. Think this says enough :lol: Good luck with playing though.

I doubt they will seperate the spells, they didn't tell us anything about that and it doesn't seem logical... we don't need another spell book. And I think they'll fit the spells somewhere around level 70-80.

When you say things like that, make sure you DO have arguments. Basically, all you are saying is "it sucks" and that's all. Not very constructive. I don't think the comparison with Earth is a strange one. We humans play RS, and we play on Earth. We create emergent game play in both, difference is that it are two very different areas with their own characteristics. It's possible to study human behaviour in both of these areas. I think this is a very good written article, which gives some eyeopeners. It's food for a great discussion imo.

What? Back in the old days coals was 100gp firm, not higher. Also, most high leveled runes available were 100gp.

Well that's also because we get good English education at school. English is my 3rd language though. First is Frysian, then comes Dutch, and then English.

A Runescape movie would be great! We would be seeing people chopping wood for 2 hours and then they'd be cheering because they increased their woodcutting level. Wouldn't that be exciting??

PK'ing is not destroyed. Player slaughtering on the other hand, might be deminished by this update. Killing RC'ers is nothing compared to real PK'ing. It's like killing a bunny and saying you fought an evil demon.
