  1. There. [hide] [/hide] Sorry for the blur. Big so you can see it better. Samples of her signature: http://www.intuitive.com/blog/images/ro ... sample.jpg http://www.kruegerbooks.com/books/sig/rowling.jpg http://images.google.hu/imgres?imgurl=h ... l%26sa%3DN
  2. I got the pic on the camera but I can't find the cable to upload it. Wait a sec.
  3. Are you for real? :( Isn't there any way Rowling could have signed it?
  4. Another thing. I'm pretty sure it's real but how can I find it out for sure? Any ideas?
  5. Picture a little bit further down I know this sounds unbelievable but give it a chance. Read it. I have had this book "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" for at least 3 years. My Dad got it for me, he bought it in a library rollout along with the first two books for no more than 5 dollars. He didn't know about the signature, he only knew I like HP. This book has a signature which I, up to this point looked at as some random scratch. Today I was looking at my Harry potter collection (1-6) and at this writing. A thought struck me. And I typed "Jk rowling signature" in google pictures and found a lot of pictures containing the very same writing! This signature leaks awfully real, not made up. I can't decide what to do know. Sell it on ebay? Keep it so its value will rise? I will upload pictures later when I get my camera working. I know it sounds unbelievable but please don't call me an attention seeking idiot. I don't want this topic to get locked.
  6. I feel weird saying "Happy Birthday!" to faceless strangers on the internet. Anyway Happy Birthday!
  7. Why isn't it? It all comes down to religion which is not really the subject of debate here but if your interested I'll send you a PM.
  8. Hmm.. I've heard it's more expensive to go through the legal process of enforcing capital punishment than to keep them in prison for life. Highly doubt that. A life sentance (opposed to it's title) is 60 years. 60 times $100-200k is somewhere around 6-12 million dollars. Not everyone lives for 80+ years. Especially not in prison. By the way. Where do you get that $100-200k per year?
  9. So...Mr. Dude who killed 10 people gets to spend his life in prison, having his meals handed to him at an expense of $100-200k/year paid for by the state (AKA, you)? Pretty sure killing the bastard is a better choice. Personally, I'd rather die than sit in prison, but there isn't much bad about having all your meals given to you and getting to watch TV 17 hours a day. Do you know how much a death penalty costs?
  10. Yes really. I want to hear you guys' opinion on it. Should it be aloud? In what cases? Morally wrong? Necessary? Feel free to debate. My view: I think it is just wrong. What makes a human decide on an other human's life? It is not up to us judge another's life. For example there is a serial killer who killed 10 people. If we kill him its just the same that he did. Murder. Plus you can never be sure that you execute the one who committed the crimes.
  11. Video Games don't satisfy you? You're lucky. Now you can do anything you want in real life, without being addicted to computer games. A lot of people would be happy if they were in your state. :) Don't force it man. Another step would be to break the addiction to multiplayer games too eh
  12. Trust me, there's not one historian in the world that denies Stalin was responsible for the killing of more people than Hitler... Not true.
