Ok, this is an interesting question. Even though America's population is no where near China's, we still end up having a lot of kids who are in foster homes and such because they were born into poor families who couldn't support them financially. My question is, how would you feel if America adopted a one child act? Or a two child act? How do you think this would help or hurt America? I'm against the idea personally, but I'm not against putting a cap on the amount of children one can have.

I didn't choose to follow society like my parents. They wanted me to find a mistress by 20 and be married by 22. I was to marry into wealth, and continue my father's banking business. But this first class up tight lifestyle just doesn't appeal to me. I feel like I'm surrounded by mindless chatter, polo matches, yachts, clubs. I feel as if I'm standing at a great precipice, with no one to pull me back, no one who cares, or even notices.

I don't like the idea. 2 of us have windows with skylines. We'd have to agree on a color and only add clouds.

I'm reading this amazing book about the war in Sierra Leone, and what happened there in the early 90's is similar to Uganda, with the Rebels and child soldiers and such. It's called "A Long Way Gone' by Ishmael Beah.

They don't censor movies. But I see your point on TV. Like say someone said, "You're a *beep*!" We don't know what word he used, there's tons out there, and this could even hurt the plot of the show.

All those things you mentioned could be done in seconds with the use of a phone. And internets cost money just like a phone does. The internet's more versatile, and a cell phone costs money. A normal phone yes, but then you need their phone number, hope they're home (well, sort of same as hoping their online), and if they're not listed in the phone book your screwed. And long distance calls cost lots of money.

Myspace? Need homework assignments, didn't write them down? Go to MySpace. Need to talk to a friend? Go to Myspace. Need to talk to distant friends who left you long ago? Go to MySpace. MySpace is far from a waste of time if you use it right, and won't run up your cell phone bill. Will add more later.

Yeah, except you're assuming that all homosexual cases are the same, which you can't do. It's not a choice for you, obviously, but for others it is. Some people do it for attention, some people do it because they are made fun of for being flamboyant their whole life; they come to the conclusion that they might as well be gay. And Vickie, you can't argue that 'there is no gay gene', just because it hasn't been found yet does not mean it doesn't exist. No, I agree with you. Percentage of homosexuality varies greatly, and that's always been used against it. A study showed that something like 78% (98% said religion was important to them) of gay men were able to change their sexuality (but I don't believe this study to be valid or can relate to the gay community), but the others couldn't, maybe they were true homosexual? Besides that, only .05% of the population of the US supposedly is homosexual, though I believe that census to be faulty. I am actually for homosexuality being a form of non-harming mental illness or some sort of defect.

I like it when people speak their own language, but they should also know English as well. This used to be a rule, back in the early 20th century, why it isn't anymore I haven't the slightest clue, but I agree with this bill.
