I guess it's alright, since I don't use railguns anyways :P Germanian news: 3 million more Germanians have volunteered for the armed forces, and they are currently in a frenzy after hearing on Findenland's threats. Germania has also started building bunkers dotted around Germania in key positions. 25 more MAASs have been finished, and the research into the new heavy tank has been completed. The first one has been produced, and production has been started on 20 more. I've also modified the design of Russia's exosuits, to give the suit a primitive type of AI (not actual AI, just something that would regulate the body and notify it of any weird happenings). This should make battlefield diagnostics of wounded soldiers much easier, since the info could just be loaded directly into the medic's/doctor's brain implant chip.

Germania's 200,000 troops that I said were loaded onto assault craft has reached its destination. All the troops have the strength-enhancing agent, brain implant chips, and exosuits equipped. They are currently staging an invasion of Sri Lanka. The naval ships that accompanied them are providing support, as well as the aircraft on the aircraft carriers. Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Sierra Leone and Liberia have all agreed to assimilation within Germania. The others are hesitant to join, but with a little more finesse I'm sure they will fall in line. That was some pretty quick research into plasma shielding :-k

Wouldn't the 2-3 planets then be: Yours in Alpha Centauri, Mars, and then possibly one in Rigil Kentarus? There's another one 20 light years out, but that's not exactly close I guess. Aye, though we've technically already had WWIV (Europe) My diplomatic talks with Sierra Leone, Liberia, Cote D'Ivorie, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Burkina Paso, Guinea-Bissau, and Guinea have begun. Considering most of the citizens of these countries have seen the dramatic improvement to quality of life Germania is making in its African controlled territories, it is likely that a large portion of these will agree to assimilation into Germania. That's useful. Hm. I'll have to wait a bit. Already the number of projects Germania has is stretching the limit. Depends really. Are they planets in actual systems that could theoretically support life? Or is 2-3 just a number you came up with? I'm curious as you were adamant about planets being habitable IRL before we say they are in game (like with the planet I'm heading towards). I know there's still a planet around 12 light years or so from Earth that could possibly support human life (the one you first suggested for me).

The ship will be small enough the enter Mars' atmosphere without any problems, and will serve as the base for the colonization efforts. Who has the most updated map of Mars?

Well the process of manufacturing it is somewhat expensive, but seeing as you are a new nation, I'm sure I can work a deal out *stares at gold mines* $_$. Bulgaria's longest and pehaps most research-intensive project has been announced. Our scientists have finally made a working nanomachine that tracks out and eliminates cancer cells, which could be a breakthrough for cancer patients as we know it. Expect to see more advancements using nanomachines in the further years to come. Let's see. How does 250,000 of my new medicine sound for one nano machine? I'll take 4 machines, so 1,000,000 tablets. Oh I know, we're just doing tests right now, I don't plan to discover FTL travel any time soon. Just a reminder that the only ones helping fund and research FTL travel right now are me and Iran I think. So if it is discovered, only me and Iran will have it... The drug induces a reaction in the body that produces chemicals similar to the ones that arctic fishes produce (a natural anti-freeze) that allows the body to withstand the extreme cold without triggering hypothermia or frostbite. It was developed on Haven, so you have access to the drug as well. It also would mean that planets with extremely cold environments that would have made them previously uninhabitable can now support human life.

Germanian news: The 20 1-man ships have been completed, and 3 have been sent to test slingshoting around the sun to possibly reach hyperspace/speed. Latino's ship is coming along nicely, and should be ready in a year. Project Groundwork is complete, and has raised the GDP per capita of Germania's African territories by around $2000. The shipyard in Tunisia has also been completed, and is producing a steady stream of naval vessels, at around 4 per year. The new tanks (aka mobile heavy artillery) is also coming along nicely, and the first prototype has been tested. However, initial tests put the tanks max speed at around 6 mph, which is wholly unacceptable, so the design is being completely reworked. 25 more MAASs have been produced, and are stationed within Inner Germania. 10,000 troops have been sent to Iceland to reinforce the garrison there, and 25,000 more have been sent to Greenland, where they will under-go their extreme weather guerilla warfare training. 300,000 recruits have joined from accross Germania, bringing Germania's military strength to around 25,000,000. 3 million more troops have been moved to Africa-Germania to help stabilize the area and provide security from the lingering militant groups. A dedicated effort is being made to eradicate these groups, as they have proven themselves to be little more then petty thugs with only money and power in mind. All those in these groups will be publicly hanged, and their properties seized and sold. The colonization of Alpha Centauri was a joint Brazil/Norway project, we each sent 500 people (and Japan sent 50 along as well). There has only been one trip made there so far, the rest of the population growth has been from birth. 400 of the Norwegians were female and the other 100 were male to best stimulate growth. The colonization of Mars also started with a joint colony, but there are autonomous regions now. Eh, Brazil/Norway then. You're practically one country though, since you guys do everything together (hehe) More news: Germania has started building its own space-shipyard, so that it doesn't have to rely on Russia's facilities. While Russia's is large enough to accomodate both nations, we don't want to encroach too far on their generosity :) Germania has also started Project Cleanup, with aims to clear the Earth's inner and outer atmosphere of as much derelict space junk possible. It has begun consrtuction on 3 ships specifically designed for this purpose. The ships will be crewed by a 3-man team. 1 pilot, 1 engineer, and 1 person who will go out to the space-junk and attach mini-plasma rockets to them, so that they can be set on a trajectory towards the sun. Any other nation that wants to help out is welcome to as well. Germania will start with cleaning up the objects in geo-sync orbit over Germanian lands, then move to international land. Don't shoot my planes down though. They don't have any actual weapons on them. The former Libyan armed forces have also been integrated into Germania's army, to the tune of around 100,000 new recruits. 500,000 recruits have also joined up from across Germanian lands, and are going through training now. Half of Germania's army now has the integrated brain chips, around 1,000,000 have Russian exosuits, and roughly 3,000,000 have had the biological agent applied that enhances human strength and bone durability.

Russia is the only one that has plasma bombs. Though Brazil is researching them right now I think. Oh, and I forgot if I mentioned this before, but the extreme-weather colonization drug is finished, and has been shared with all countries that have research teams on Haven (sorry Burma :P). The directions on how to make the drug have been relayed to the ship I sent out to colonize the other planet, and some of their medical personnel have been woken from cryogenic sleep to manufacture enough of the drug to give to everyone on the ship (roughly 50,000 people I think it was). The ship has a built-in tech base and full medical lab, as well as all the necessary tools and supplies to get a colony started on another planet. Should reach the planet in 19 years now.
