:) He's just some regular civvy. Germania news: Germania's ship is still underway to the planet 20 light-years away, and the smaller ship has been completed, loaded with 400 colonists, and is on its way to Mars. Germania is also building 20 or so 1-man space vessels for the purpose of testing the viability of FTL travel. They'll be used for a multitude of testing (blasting it with energy, slingshoting it around planets, etc). 250,000 more volunteers have signed up for the army, bringing Germania's military strength somewhere around 20 million. The missile shield over Atlantic-Germania is complete, and production has begun in Africa-Germania. A massive naval base and building-yard is also being constructed in Tunisia, and should be finished in 3 years. It will be able to employ 50,000 or so odd civilians that will be supervised by 1,000 naval officers, and the ship-yard will be used to build Navy ships. Chad has agreed to integration into Germania, and the Sudanese government, realizing that if they declined, the country would erupt into civil war due to the bribes sent to militant groups, has also agreed. Germanian troops have been moved into the area to prevent any sort of violence that might come with this announcement. 30 more MAASs have been produced, and have been sent to Africa-Germania. The research into extreme-weather colonization has been completed, with a drug that can alter human physiology to withstand extremely cold temperatures without getting hypothermia or any such related afflictions (frostbite, etc). Germania has started a new project (not on Haven) to research a new tank design, an extremely heavy tank that could essentially act as mobile heavy artillery. Any news other then that is being kept tight-lipped. Germania has also started building 3 massive space-ships, that will serve the sole purpose on transporting large amounts of people over vast distances (like to the other planet). The ships can carry roughly 75,000 people. However, they've been stripped of pretty much anything not necessary for the trip, such as weaponry or advanced guidance systems, so as to speed up production. These ships should be ready within 4 years. Project Foundation is almost complete as well (building infrastructure in Africa), and should be done by the end of this year. It should create around 300,000 more jobs in the area, and raise the gdp per capita by at least $1,000. [hide=updated map][/hide]

Yes, yes. Good idea, muwahaha. Send you entire HAW force, yesyes. And Germanian troops aren't allowed into Luxembourg's cities to rampage against protesters? My troops are getting fat and lazy, I must take them for some exercise. Oh. And I've released all Luxembourg prisoners I had since we were at war. How they get to Africa is not my concern, though. actually I am producing roughly 25 a year :-# I thought they cost a trillion dollars each, and are 100 stories high or something.

Why do we associate the Confederate Flag with racism?
The North did not start the war. The south attempted to succeed, and when the North would not leave their fort in South Carolina, the South fired upon them, starting the war. The North had every right to stay on their property, while the South was taking over every Northern fort in the Confederacy by force. technically yes, but even if it had not been for Fort Sumpter the war would have started some other way, the storm had been brewing for years. The blame for starting the war belongs with the issues, not the relatively minor match that lit the fuse. Didn't some South Carolinian senator get beat down with a cane during congress? (or something to that effect). War was definiatly inevitable. And to address whomever quoted me saying that slavery was not the reason of the war, I didn't phrase it quite correctly. Slavery was of major importance to the war, but it isn't the only reason the war erupted. And yes there was a reason for amendments 13-15 to take effect directly after the war. The reason being to gain votes fo rthe Republican party. Or maybe that was one of the war sparks? I can hardly remmeber, I haven't looked at a history book in a good 6 months. No, the South Carolinian senator beat the leaving hell out of a NORTHERN senator with a cane. Cane of +2 Beating.

My troops are getting fat and lazy, I must take them for some exercise. You've not been invited in my territory. Any invasion on your part will be viewed as an act of war, and surely will be retaliated in a proper fasion. It's in your better interests to stay out of it. :( 1 crazy Germanian guy managed to slip into Luxembourg, and ran around the streets naked hitting people with an umbrella. Does that mean we're at war now? :P

Plus you'll actually be able to play games with it, which since you say you're going to college, you will want to do.

Yes but you want them to go back to the factories  That's one very good reason. Another reason may include the fact that you don't want your people to grow discontent with you. I'm pretty sure that slaughtering dozens of people because they are protesting isn't in your long-term interest. IT IS IN THOR'S BEST INTEREST

Germania has better riot control. Why use rubber bullets when you can use the real thing for just a bit more? Tear gas? Why not mustard gas? That'll disperse rioters pretty fast. Based on Einstein's theory. Einstein could be wrong, though. No one has actually tried.

Fiji water: so good, so cool, so bad for the environment?
You wouldn't prefer AZ's water to anything else. Nastiest water you'll ever drink. You should try some of the water in Mexico. Yumm :uhh:

Buying a new computer. - Got the Pro, new question again....
I hope this link will suffice. A link to a thread about a not functioning computer? That stuff can happen with any sort of electronic, Mac stuff included. So, instead of choosing a PC she went with a PC? I think its a bit silly to assume that Macs don't have viruses or any other problems that plague computers, since, well, Mac is a computer.

[TF2] It's MANN Vs. Machine!
Soldier you just run around and shoot at people's feet. I think you guys are looking at this from too competitive of a viewpoint. Newbies aren't going to be jumping into clan matches, so they don't need to be great at the class they choose, so I think soldiers are the best choice for them (other than medic - but medics aren't fun at all). Should be installing to C:..ProgramFiles\Steam\Yoursteamname (or common) And there's text chat.

Mount and Blade on low specs? Hehe, yeah. I had that for a while. Got bored. Good game though. Dwarf Fortress? Or Sid Meier's Pirates! Dunno what genres you're into, though.

Fiji water: so good, so cool, so bad for the environment?
It's the natural flow of OT. People post news articles so people think that the forum is getting too full of serious topics & articles. People post light hearted threads to combat the news articles. People think that the forum is getting too light hearted with not enough discussion. People post news articles to combat the light hearted threads. We're approaching the 'posting news articles & serious discussions stage :) You forgot the "Half of OT filled with threads saying how stupid just posting news articles is" stage. Or the even worse "OT is going to the dogs, this is the end AHHHH!" stage. Gods those are annoying.

Why a mac? For that price you could get a damn good PC that could be upgraded every year instead of having to buy a brand new mac.

No. They used whatever weapons they wanted. The hammer was Thor's signature weapon, and axes were prevalant in Scandinavia during the viking times because one of the main sources of income for the area was lumber, so most people had axes. Also because most vikings would normally fight enemies with shields (who fought in shield walls) so axes were very useful.

Just go heavy or pyro, you wont do that bad. Soldier is easier. Newbies pyros never do spychecks, and heavies put too much pressure on new players (people will expect them to clear out entire rooms when they get uber'd)

Hey :( I want to go into politics. Your sig doesn't say anything. It's a bunch of senseless text and a picture of a bottle of water. There is no deeper philosophical meaning to your signature.

*sigh* You got the islands, now you want money? I feel like the wealthy brother-in-law here. Hehe. Good thing that silly Catholicness doesn't hold much sway in Germania. Thor would never be upset over clones. More blood for the thunder God! Inner Germania is almost 90% Norse-pagan, Atlantic-Germania is 98%, Outer Germania around 46%, and Africa-Germania is now around 26%. Those numbers are increasing steadily as people grow more and more disillusioned with a pope that is merely a puppet and a failing religious system.

I thought you didnt like tf2. :? Never said I didn't like it, just said I thought it was over-rated. It has like a mid-90s score, whereas I think of it as an 80 something game.

Pff I'm never happy. 12 years is more then reasonable, considering it would be a project that would have co-operation by major nations, and a yearly budget 58,000 x what NASA's is.

It's not possible that we know of. There's nothing to say that our entire understanding of physics is dead wrong. Could be something like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperspace_(science_fiction)
