Probably wouldn't be such a good idea, as I'm invading Italy right now.. might I ask what the point is? By now the world is already over populated, why would we want the old to live longer? If anything we should covert old people into fuel after a certain age. It wouldn't suspend people in old age for an additional 50 years. It would be administered at birth, so that "old" would then be considered 110+. You'd be in the same shape at say, 80, as you would be at 50 or 60 without the drug. And lol, Rpg, I thought Luxembourg was a nice nation - converting old people into fuel haha Reb is (was) Spain, so...

The research into turning once arable land back into arable land is complete, and has been shared with all nations. Let the farming spree begin! Germania's research team on Haven has begun research on a drug that could increase human lifespan by roughly 50 years. It should be completed in 6-8 years. 2 more years for Germania's research into space craft to be complete, which coincides nicely with Russia's competion of its space-base. Wee. Germania's army continues to progress into Italy, but not at a lumbering rate anymore since Italian civilians have been given ample time to leave the country if they so wished. German troops have also landed on Sicily, and the small country has surrendered rather then face the extensive damage that a prolonged battle for the island would cause.

Well's mother is going to be pretty upset about that.

BSG was the only one I really ever enjoyed.

12 years is reasonable. People shouldn't just be able to build a colony on Mars within a year of them joining.

Nothing that can't be handled. Most of Europe has accepted German rule without any problem now that the guerrilla problem has been dealt with, and the African nations are happy that there is infrastructure being built and jobs created. 10 of my MAASs (Mobile Anti Air Systems) have been created, and another 15 are in production. The 10 are currently stationed in Inner Germania.

Yeah, this was the original map I based it off of: [hide=][/hide]

It took like 3 years to take most of Europe, then another 3 to deal with those annoying partisans and your bloody pyro-maniac soldiers you left behind to blow up the power in Europe. Cost me good money, damn you! *shakes fist* Ah, that's okay. 2012 posts, idk, maybe Brazil will crash that spaceship into the Earth? :P

? I guaranteed their safety, what other question did you ask? Also, grats to the Hegemony for reaching 100 pages :D

Germania welcomes our newest member to the Hedgemony! And, everyone around is pretty much...well..me. But, Germania willingly accepts a new ally, and hopes that we shall grow and be strong together! Once my conquest of Italy has come to an end, I will willingly grant you a strip of formerly Italian land so that you can have a port city, and I won't have to screen imports into the Alps :) If you wish to declare war on me, and try to take over Cyprus, which I own, go right ahead. Germania has really no discernible part in the Haven project, aside from being the one who built the research facilities and is keeping track of the countries that have scientific teams on the isles. But yes, I give my word that scientists from Luxembourg sent to Haven will not be harmed by German scientists, regardless of that we are currently at war. Considering that we have no scientists with the last name of Freeman, asking Germanian scientists to attack others would be a disastrous proposition. Germania would once again like to offer a blanket peace to Luxembourg, with the added bonus of Germanian military aid promised should Luxembourg decide to expand in Southern Africa. Also, the research into spacecraft in Germania should be completed within 2-3 years now. I definitely do not agree with that rule. Considering it took a joint Brazilian-Norway team 15 years (or so) to actually research and build a spacecraft that could complete inter-planetary travel, it seems like a silly rule. It would allow someone who took, say, Darfur, to expand onto Mars and build up a military presence before even I could realistically be there. No, it would be wayyy too exploitable. Whether or not a new country researches space development is up to them. Regardless of that, though, the time to research and deploy a spacecraft should be realistic (considering that NASA has been working on space travel for near 40 years now...)

No secret projects on Haven. And they can't have anything to do with military.

Alright then. I live in Toronto, Canada, and damn glad I do. Canadians seem to have a reputation for being nice, though I've never really noticed anything different in other countries I've been to. Toronto is an awesome city, especially in the summer, when we usually have some sort of festival every weekend (jazz fest, taste of the Danforth, Carribana, etc). Weather here is not as cold as everyone thinks (there's no snow in summer time...usually). Right now its around 25-30 degreees Celsius outside, annd I'm going to go out there now :P I'll think up some more to write later.

Sorry, always get you two mixed up, would be better if you added your country to your sig though :P Sorry, couldn't recall whether or not you said you sent some. And can you travel through the area in an enclosed vehicle? Just making sure that everyone understands that it is literally a dead zone, it shreds most any biomass that enters it. Current countries with research teams on Haven: Bulgaria Britannia Jerusalem Germania Russia Brazil Somalia Australia Malaysia Norway New Zealand Iran The research into turning once-arable land back into arable land is almost complete. I have started a project on Haven for researching a drug that could extend the human lifespan by 50 or so years (not meaning that there would be more old people - it would extend the lifespan - meaning you'd be in the same shape at 70 as you would've been at 50, etc. [hide=updated map(I've changed my flag back to Germany's][/hide] Latino, can you say again what countries you've claimed in the Arabian peninsula? Also, I've separated Germania into sections, so that build orders and production isn't really confused. Saying I'm building AA guns in Germania is kind of stupid, considering Germania has land on 3 different continents. So, here's the sectioned Germania, to cut down on confusion: [hide=][/hide]

Alright, I'll allow that. I just don't want an army forming so close to Greater Germania. German update: Research into the MAASs has been completed and production on 10 of them has been started. They should be available within 6 months. Denmark has agreed to join Germania, under a few rules. It took a lot of bribery money but they are now part of the German empire. The rules for Denmark joining are as follows: They keep their government, and run everything themselves. They are not fully assimilated into Germania, so the border between Denmark and Germany will stay, however, Denmark will be coloured on the map as part of Germania. German forces are permitted into Denmark to make up the military force, but no more then 500,000. And German forces in Denmark cannot outnumber Denmarkian, which has around 200,000 active + 500,000 in reserve. The partisan problem across Europe is mostly finished now, with only token resistance members holding on. Once countries realized that they were not going to be exploited and run into ruin like the Nazis did in WW2, they were acceptive of being a part of Germania. An additional 250,000 people have volunteered for the military, as well as 50,000 more in Africa, bringing the Africa garrison to around 550,000. The coup in Western Sahara has finished, and the group that took control of the country has sent diplomats to Germania with the message that they are willing to join Germania, as long as Germania agrees to help build infrastructure in the country and stabilize the region. Germania agrees. German troops have also begun a slow, lumbering advance into Italy. Italian citizens who do not wish to become a part of Germania are being given plenty of time to leave the country, and the German navy has been given the order to permit Italian ships carrying civilians to leave the Mediterranean sea if they decide to. Germany would also like to cede the narrow strip of land separating Bulgaria from the Mediterranean to Bulgaria. I will update the map. Current countries with research teams on Haven: Bulgaria Britannia Jerusalem Germania Russia Brazil Somalia Australia Malaysia Findenland New Zealand

I've never seen or heard about that. where do you live, jus curious lol. Those the Redbox things, neh? http://www.redbox.com/

Yesh there are, but not much Holland was to be completely demilitarized. If there's military in Holland then that breaks the peace treaty. So...my troops are moving into Holland. Quote your post please? i must've missed it, and whats this Haven>? Haven is a neutral set of islands in the atlantic (formerly the Azores), that I've built several state of the art research facilities on. No military is allowed within 10 miles of the island, or any on it. Nations can send scientific research teams to the island, and any research done on Haven is completed 2 years faster then it would if it was done alone. No military tech is allowed to be researched, however. From page 58-59: Fine, the terms are: Demilitarization of Holland's armies 20% of income your income goes to Germany And you cede Ultrecht, Zeeland, and Noordbrabant to me.

I could sell you some oil as malaysia produces oil  He could talk to Russia as well :P

Nope, it will never become a problem. :| Yesh there are, but not much Holland was to be completely demilitarized. If there's military in Holland then that breaks the peace treaty. So...my troops are moving into Holland. I reminded Ross shortly after he posted about the colony that he forgot to mention me, sorry if it has confused anyone, and I don't blame Ross as he fixed it. Also, I mentioned that I was part of Haven a while ago too, are my posts getting deleted or something? EDIT: The bone replacement mineral will not work, for it removes many of the bones uses and functions which the minerals could not perform. (Sorry if it is not a mineral, I am going off memory as searching back is too tedious, if only the OP still posted on here as we need a way to index some of these changes and such.) Oh, its not a drug or something, that was just the random name I came up with. It's an adaptation of the biological agent I had made years back that actually replaces the bones with itself (the agent). The strength-enhancing properties were removed, though, since that's military tech. The agent is hardier and more resistant to bone degeneration. :) Current countries with research teams on Haven: Bulgaria Britannia Jerusalem Germania Russia Brazil Somalia Australia Malaysia The tech to turn once arable land back into arable land should be available next year. We already have things that can neutralize EMPs - Faraday cages. And generally when coming up with a new tech it progress like: Research (3-however many years), then production. Unless of course you buy the blueprints for an already invented tech from another country, in which case production can start right away. It was moreso to show you that you have a colony of ~4000 people that spans 1/8th of an entire planet.
-
How is it that countries keep magically being added to these colonies? Australia was never mentioned as having anything to do with the colonization. And just to remind you, this is the map resized to roughly the size of the Earth one: [hide=][/hide]

Might help: http://www.seventhsanctum.com/index-name.php Hmmm due to the whole space exploration stage we are getting into, I want to change my flag to this, just for the lulz. Wth is that :) Current nations with scientists working on projects on Haven: Bulgaria Britannia Jerusalem Germania Russia Brazil Somalia How about this - any research done on Haven will take 2 years less then if it was tackled by a country alone? No one would be forced to work on someone else's project, and each nation's scientists could theoretically be working on something different, but since there are so many different of the world's top scientists together in one place, they would invariable help with and comment on other team's research. So, 2 years sound reasonable? Since we have all of the world's super-powers taking place as well, funding for the facilities is not a problem. Somalia will be the comic relief :P
