  1. PC for sure, as long as your comp can run it. I have a feeling there are going to be a slew of mods that the community will come up with, not to mention all the unofficial bug fixes that'll get churned out. PC is the way to go for sure ;)
  2. So who else is looking forward to BioWare's new RPG? Plot summary (taken from IGN): Some more info from the Wiki page: Spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate? I'm in :D Oh, and you can also change the view point from 3rd person - behind the character, to a top down isometric view like in the Baldur's Gate series (or Diablo for people who've never played BG). Official Dragon Age: Origins Site Trailer [yt]6o2HUrJMtaY[/yt] Gameplay Video [yt]4Q-jVM9fe8w[/yt] There are some other gameplay videos, but it has overlaid audio of a guy who's voice I found annoying, so I didn't add it :P Also, the game won't ship with any invasive DRM, only a disk check - http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/91475-BioWare-No-SecuROM-for-Dragon-Age-Origins So what's everyone's thoughts? Looking forward to it, or not?
  3. Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 Medieval Total War 1 Sid Meirs: Pirates! Civilization 2 & 3 GTA 3 KOTOR 1 Icewind Dale Diablo 2 Starcraft Warcraft 2 & 3
  4. It looks great, but I've sworn off all MMOs for at least the next 10 years.
  5. It's an interesting theory, but it seems to all hinge on the idea that other intelligent life would share the same characteristics of human beings. There's a possibility that intelligent life could develop on another planet that doesn't kill, or forcibly expand, or share any of the other more negative human traits. Given the estimated number of habitable planets (at least, planets habitable by species that need oxygen and water as we do), could it not be possible that a species like that would develop? Or there's also the idea that by some ridiculously slim margin, we are actually the first intelligent species to develop in the galaxy.
  6. A lot of the time teens who aren't legal to buy alcohol will drink it to excess when they do get their hands on it, since they don't know when they'll be able to get it again. It's not really that they're completely irresponsible, or that they don't know what alcohols effect on them will be like (though it might be that case for some), it's more the pain it takes to get it when you're not legal to buy that makes teens drink to excess. Tbh, I have a feeling that if there was no drinking age enforced by law (or at least a lower one like 16), that there would actually be less car accidents and such, since teens would be more familiar with its effects and wouldn't have such a strong desire to get completely tanked, since they could do that any time they wanted to, rather than when all the stars came aligned (money, someone to buy, somewhere to drink they wouldn't get caught, etc, etc). A drinking age of 21 is ridiculous.
  7. Pic doesn't really look like a DOS game
  8. It's not really that big of a deal for high leveled players or those who actually have experience with this game. The biggest effect massive inflation will have is on low levels and new players (which are the two groups that actually keep this game alive and fresh). You may see a really expensive item and think "Oh that's okay, I can just fish sharks for a couple days to get the money for that", whereas a newbie player will see the price of it and go, "What! I'll never be able to afford that, I make like 10k an hour!". These kind of things never really have any affect on veterans of the game, because as prices go up, so do the returns on mostof their money making methods. The problem is that these money making methods aren't available until you get to a high level. Massive inflation like this is just going to create an enormous rift between unseemingly rich high level players, and the larger population of low levels. The gap is already pretty damn prevalent, but it'll get worse if this sort of cash flow into the economy remains unchecked. /$0.02
  9. If something like this happens again don't return stuff like that to gamestop or any other place like that. Sell it on Craigslist or eBay - you'll likely get twice as much money as you would handing it over to a store for credit. Anyways sorry for bumping up a dead thread (sage :( )
  10. Who are you and what have you done with the English language?
  11. It was a good game, but you almost need to complete the first before playing it, which i didn't because i lost my copy of the original, meaning when i started the second i was utterly confused, and having a half level up'd char wasn't very fun either tbh. Not really, the main thing you learn in the first game is who your father is, and that's given to you in the opening sequence of BG2. If you were confused during the beginning of BG2 it's because you're meant to be confused :P Great game, still working on finishing it though. Looks even better playing it at 1280 x 1024 screen resolution :)
  12. Okay, it's been two days. [hide=][/hide]
  13. Hehe these threads are always so funny. I don't quite know what's been jigged around and messed up with your memory, but RuneScape was never some haven of righteousness and helpful people. There's always been an atrocious level on negative player interaction, as there is in most games. Really, there never was a time when almost everyone was nice.
  14. Um...the last one. :D
  15. lol @ "famous no-scoper" Oh, I take it you're better then? I just find the whole idea that someone who just runs around shooting from the hip and hoping to actually hit someone can be famous laughable. And I'm not sure where you saw that I said I was better than him. There actually wasn't even an "I" in that original post :-k Try that. Thats a lot more quick Snipes than no scopes. And in all honesty I dont find something mainly based on luck that impressive at all. To me no scope is just dull and boring whilst being fun in small private "no scope" games. You don't really understand how no-scoping works do you? You don't really understand that we don't give a [bleep] do you?
  16. Hey look! Now that he's dead everyone likes him again! I'd laugh if he faked it all just to come back dressed as a zombie for the concert he was supposed to do hehe

  18. The "AUG HBAR" on the list is a variant of the AUG. Oo didn't even see that. Sweet. lol @ "famous no-scoper"
