  11. Well this is how it went with my family: We had a german shepard for about 6 years, then we got a kitten. They got along fine and I actually have a picture of our kitten sleeping on our old dog's back. The german shepard eventually passed away ( :cry: ), and a few years later we got a new puppy. Unfortunately our kitten (which was now a full grown cat, didn't like that we had a new pet and would attack it all the time. Basically, dog first then kitten worked for us. Cat first then dog didn't. It all really depends on the personality of your dog, our cat might not have like our new dog because it was the alpha male of it's litter, thought I don't know. If your dog is a really passive one then you should be perfectly fine.
