  1. *Yawn*. It's been "almost time" for the last 6,000 years. When in fact, the Bible says "I promise you, all this will come to pass before the end of this generation." on the subject of the end of the world. That was written...How many generations ago? I ain't too worried. The guy is obviously dilusional. He actually things America would fall and crumble before Israel? America is untouchable to him.
  2. I'd love to see how evolutionists have "all the evidence mounted against them"? Evolution has TONS of evidence. It's an entire theory because there is so much evidence. Religion has no evidence, they're just stories. You're right though, creationists are the reason evolution doesn't work with creation, but that's not the only reason. The biggest reason is that God apparently snapped his fingers and everything popped up - as it is today. We know that to not be true due to fossil records. If this discussion is really about "Was there a creator?" as Ambassador says, then I can quickly shut this discussion down by saying "No. And if you believe there was, PROVE IT." Because I can easily prove that there was no creator by using facts, and more importantly, common sense to go with those facts. ...Has any religious person EVER posted evidence here? No. They just say their god exists and that is that.
  3. I just saw a tiny part of it on CNN...They obviously don't care about people freaking out over it. I can't say that I would either. THEY didn't make the problem, paranoid people did. I think I'd still apologize, but. :P
  4. I can't really remember the last time I've ever called an Islamic person a terrorist. That's a really intolerant and racist thing for you to say. And I would die for Jesus. Of course, that means if someone put a gun to my head and asked me what I believed in, that's what I would say. And you are not funny. Laughing about suicide bombers is sick. Nice try, but you're not going to turn me into the "racist, intolerant" person here just because I said that some Christians call Islamic people terrorists at the drop of a hat. And yes, I am hilarious. Suicide bombing is funny to me, and it should be to you. These people run into buildings and blow themselves up for the promise of Heaven. They are not rewarded. Even according to your own religion, you know that to be true. To me, that is hilarious. The stuff people will do because they believe so strongly in something that just doesn't exist. They waste their whole life. And why would you die for Jesus like that? If someone asked if you believe in Jesus, you're free to say "No." and then be forgiven 5 seconds after. Furthermore, do you really think Jesus is stupid? You must. If you jump off a cliff with suicidal hopes in your heart, but say "Oops." as you're falling, do you trick Jesus into thinking it was an accident? Same applies here. If you believe in Jesus in your heart, but say "No.", you shouldn't be fooling him, you're only fooling the person who asked. Or do you take the whole "Deny me before man and I will deny you before my father." thing way too seriously? Probably. Do you honestly think Jesus would send a life-time believer to Hell just because that person wanted to not be shot in the head? Some awesomely righteous God you have there.
  5. I like how noone pointed out that by not smoking, his friend's aren't going to just stop liking him. Your friend's won't care. If you don't want to smoke, just say "Nah, I don't want to." They won't care. More cigarettes for them.
  6. I know most christian's aren't fundamentalist creationsists either, but frankly I don't see how they can't be. Evolution and Religion do not go hand-in-hand and never could, so it's either one side or the other. There literally is no middle.
  7. Wouldn't you think the word of an infalible God would be kinda'...You know...Infalible? The Bible contradicts itself many times...Enough for people to think it's BS. I just read through Jesus' miracles again and searched for sites seeing how many people can think of something to debunk them, and I never realized how easily Jesus could have decieved people. When I read the Bible, I did not notice these things. Now, having read what I did today, I absolutely don't blame Jews for not believing Jesus was the Messiah. Turns out, about half the people back in Jesus' day thought he was a liar and a fraud. Also turns out, that re-reading his "Miracles", I can see how each one could have been deceptive. John's account is probably the most damning evidence AGAINST Jesus, and not for him. He writes some thing as if he was skeptical of Jesus himself. They are things that Christians make excuses for, but their excuses contradict and then they revert back to the whole "Jesus is God. Amen. Praise God" stuff because they've been defeated. Can't find the site atm, but if you find it, you should read it, it's really good actually.
  8. People are waaaaaaaay to paranoid. They showed what those things looked like...Know what I thought when I saw it? NOT... Who the hell DIDN'T have a Lite-Brite as a kid? Honestly. How you could even think "Wow, these might be bombs..." is beyond me. I mean, they were placed in pretty bomb-like areas, but damn.
  9. Exactly what I thought I was thinking along the lines of "Who the hell has time to make, let alone eat pancakes in the morning?" My school mornings were cereal-and-rushing Preschool to Highschool. :P SOMETIMES my mom would be up early and make eggs or pancakes, but that was rare.

Off topic: That made me cringe terribly. I don't get it. Awful grammar. Hardly "awful". It wasn't very good, but surely we've all seen FAR worse. I wasn't aware the Grammar Nazi's were on patrol tonight. Better hide by 6-pointed star of imperfection.
  11. Popular myth. I'm sure some goes into the ocean...Hey, perhaps even 3/4, but it isn't why the water is salty, it isn't why it smells bad and it isn't why it tastes bad. :P
  12. I can sadly admit that I have done this. Never told a single soul about it, but I walked the whole 4 blocks to the bus stop and it was Saturday. I was freakin' mad 'cause it was like -4 degree's outside. :P

  14. Drinking sea water sucks hardcore. :'( I was at the beach in South Carolina two weeks ago and got a nice big mouthful blasted down my throat. Threw up immediately, of course. You just can't help it, it's so horrid you just vomit. I NEVER throw up but that just made me hork immediately. :P ...And I disected a dead jelly fish on the beach...With a stick. Suprisingly firm, those little guys. They're like breast implants...Squishy, yet too firm to be called "Soft". Found like 30 large Conch shells too. Wewt. :o ...Wait, this is about drinkin' poo-poo water...
  15. Of course, you'd have to be psychotic to invade the US, I was more suggesting the resistance thier army would put up to a US invasion. Oh, yea. Didn't even think of that...Duhhhhh...This is my brain on 2:32 AM, I guess. :P Dare I say Iran's army would probably be worse than Iraq...Probably more organized, better equiped, etc. I'm almost positive that Iran has fighter jets...I guess that can be looked at as a good thing - We get dog fights to hear about! :P
  16. Iran is currently not a threat. But, due to the reason Barihawk said (for example), it will be in the future. That's what we want to stop. A country who supports Islamic extremists getting nuclear technology is freakin' scary. They claim it is peaceful, yet they fund terrorist groups directly. We just can't trust them. The USA's nukes and stuff have all been effectively "put away", from what I understand, and are being destroyed. I don't doubt that we have a few out just incase, but we don't have thousands out and ready to use like we used to. :P Edit: Warrior45, I don't fear Iran's army, I fear the "army" they fund behind closed doors, if anything. No country's army, even in their "wrong" mind, let alone in their "right" mind, would attack the USA. Can you imagine what would happen if a country attacked us? They wouldn't even have to send out the army...Every single damn household has a gun. Hell, I don't even SHOOT guns, I never have once, and even we have a few in the house. A .12 gauge that was my grandpa's, a .22 pistol my dad won, etc. :P Any army attacking us would be obliterated by our own damn people, and that'd be hilariously bad for them!
  17. Make no mistake, my Christian friends. You won't be able to point fingers at Muslim's and say "Terrorists!" for very long, for the leaders of your own religion are breeding their own little war-mongers in the name of the love of Jesus. Give it 10...Maybe 15 years, tops, and you'll start seeing the nifty little backlash from Christian groups. I don't know how they could convince someone to commit suicide, being that it's against their religion, but I do recall every child in the film "Jesus Camp" raising his hand and cheering when asked "Who would die for Jesus?" Nice. New rule - If you're going to kill yourself, please do it with your followers close to you. Just get it over with so the rest of us can not worry about walking into a resturaunt and being torn to peices by shrapnel. That goes for Muslim's and Christian's both. :P
  18. Bad. Proof? I don't need proof. It's all around you. Spray painted onto buildings. On the news. On websites. Written in chalk on the side of a church. "GOD SUCKS BURN IN HELL" That's nothing compared to how Christians treat others sometimes. ;)
  19. What if god didn't create all the random coincidences that led to the creation of the human species. What if he is all those coincidences? Evolution is his allegorical pinky finger and I am his nipple. Did you just say you were God's nipple? That's...creepy, but okay. That'd be a very good theory, except for the fact that it wouldn't add up either. ANd what is all this? Why can God just NOT EXIST? Everyone always has the "But what if..." thing, but noone ever says "...He doesn't exist!" Pretty much everything but. I can see it now...Evolution is finally accepted as fact...But religious people have made it the "God-Evolution-Theory". Great. Then we'll discover life all over the Galaxy, and that's God's "side-projects" he failed to mention. And still, one million years from now, the end of the world will STILL be "just around the corner!"
  20. Why is what I said invalid? If you can't use the facts of this Earth around you to prove or disprove religion, what CAN you use? The Bible? Is the Bible the only credible religious source just because? Is religion untouchable "just because"? The answer to both of those questions, to religious people, is an indirect "Yes". They don't SAY it's untouchable, but they make it untouchable. All the evidence we have says that the Bible is not factual. I mean, geographic locations in it are, but that's where it stops, and that proves nothing about God existing. It's amazing how people can say "Sodom and Gomorrah existed! The Bible is true! God is real!" and pretty much get away with it. If a scientist were to say "Apes walk on two legs! Humans walk on two legs! Evolution is fact!", they'd be laughed at and their career would be over. That's essentially what religious people do, but they get away with it thanks to the "Cloak of Religion" as I sometimes call it...It's that cloak that covers religion and allows it to not be discussed as fiction, let alone be called fiction, or to be disproved completely. You cannot disprove religion, not because of the evidence against it, or it's lack of evidence for it, but because the supporters of it just won't allow you to. If they dug up a text right now...Say it was some guy confessing that he wrote the Bible with some friends and that it was just a story they wrote, I gaurentee you there would still be religious people going "That proves nothing..." It's that whole fear of Hell that keeps them going with this stuff. If you want the short answer, it's this: All evidence points to us not being created. The Bible accumulates 6,000 years of stuff, and we KNOW, without a doubt, that the Earth is FAR older. Hell, the Jewish/Christian God wasn't even the first. Jesus wasn't the first to claim to be a Messiah, and he wasn't the first to "die and be ressurected" as the story claims. If there is a God, he went through a terrible amount of trouble to try to disprove himself. And why is it that everyone takes ALL science as fact, EXCEPT evolution? It's science, it's been taken just as seriously, and it wasn't invented by Satanic cultists, so why is it said by so many to be fiction, even with all the evidence? *Shrug*
  21. If you had read my post you would see how I used science to analyze the situation. And I'm saying your entire post is irrelevant. You can't use a natural yardstick to measure a supernatural distance. It's like trying to measure the volume of a house with a one-dimensional object. And you can not over-shadow science merely by saying "God is above science." and having that be the end of it. What are God's motives behind creating evidence against himself, I wonder?
  22. Is impossible because the faith of people within itself is the profound and truthful proof of gods existence (it being a faith based religion, the faith in god existing actually causes him to exist and defines his existence). Consider discordianism, a religion based upon chaos. The existence of any "God" is up to people, to believe and make it real. This reasoning has its roots in the ideaology that we do not experience reality directly, our brain interprets the signals from the world around us, using not only our five senses but societal pressures, and other hidden senses and creates a "Matrix" like dreamworld which we actually do our living in. Every human percieves the world differently, and within this paradox is how we create our own reality, on our own, together. My point is this. Look at the Bible, read it's pages. The Bible depicts the existence of a God that precedes being written about. If this is true (not the IF, I am not saying it is) then God exists outside just thinking about him, because he is being written to exist before he was being written about. ...That in itself is illogical. God was written to have existed before he was written about? Does that honestly make sense to you? Yes, he was written to have existed before we were even created, but does that mean he did? No. It means someone was a creative writer. You're trying to use the Bible to prove the existence of God, and that can't be done...By anyone. The Bible says God exists, but shows zero proof. Infact, it contradicts itself numerous times and doesn't add up with what we know as fact today. The Bible is not going to be what helps prove God's existence...If it were possible, it would be the world around us proving him to be factual, and so far, it's saying he's fictional.
  23. Like I said. There is no proof God exists. If we were 100% sure, my argument would be illogical because I'd be saying, "Yea, he exists, but would he if we never wrote about him?", meaning that our writing about him made him poof into existence. Since there is a good chance he DOESN'T exist, my argument is just fine...What I'm TRYING to say is, that since he doesn't exist, our writing about him is what made him exist to us. You guys aren't getting this because you're not taking into account the chance that God doesn't exist.
  24. There is no proof, other than the Bible, that God exists. So if the Bible was never written, God doesn't exist to us. That's what I've been trying to say. The actual existence of God would be irrelevant if the Bible was never written, because the idea of him wouldn't even be there. You could not even think about God. I find it curious that people who believe in God on this thread have NO idea what I'm trying to say, but people who don't believe in God know exactly what I'm saying. Certainly it couldn't be a conflict of interests...

My friend just borrowed me this book called "The Body Sculpting Bible for Men" that he's been using to work out (and getting results after a year of doing stuff wrong :P)...You should probably get it. I think he said it was like $15...$18 with tax or whatever. I was flipping through and they have a thing about Creatine...I dunno' if they were for or against it though, I didn't read it yet.
