Good luck on 99 fletch and 94 mage. I also have both of those goals in addition to my 91 RC goal. You didn't mention what you'll be doing while alching for extra profit. I personally mine runite at the heros guild but if you don't want to get 20 extra mining lvls, you could do something like buy runes at the magic guild or hang out in a crowded bank looking for good deals.

Updated with 96 Fletching and 87 Slayer. I also broke my record for rune rock alching. My new record is 23 ores in 599 alchs.

I was alching next to the heros guild rune rocks. I had gotten the first ore and was waiting for the second to respawn. At that point I got a mime.

The bug is that sometimes when you hit Protect From _____ the icon doesn't appear above your head and you get no protection. Also sometimes when you deactivate the prayer, it's still in effect.

I agree, which is why if I do any aggressive no alching rune mining, I do it at the rock near the dark beasts. But for alching, the heros guild is hands down the best. The number of times i've gotten both ores far outweighs the number of times i've gotten no ores. The heros guild or the wilderness rocks might also be good for system updates :-k. I currently buy vials at ardougne whenever I see a system update.

Got 90 mage today and as you can tell from my screenie, it's been raining runite for me at the heros guild. In one trip, I got 23 ores in 729 alchs :D.

I only had a couple of dreams about RS and they were both bad. In one dream I got connection lost please wait trying to reestablish at gargoyles. When I logged back in I had died and lost my Guthan. I ran back to the slayer tower as fast as I could but my stuff wasn't there. Then the slayer tower shatters and I wake up with my Guthan safely banked. In the other dream, I went to the Dag Kings but forgot to put on protect from mage. Prime made me tele in like 5 seconds.

Good luck on 85, you're getting close. I also want 85 mining. I powermined from 74-84 and stouted 44 runite ores and i'm now taking my banked mith and addy to a coal mine for superheating. For this goal and my others, check out my thread, Lugia0013's 4 goals to 91 RC.

Updated with a new mining method. I'm sick of granite, i've had that mith and addy for a long time, and I can mine coal pretty quickly with 84 Mining.

Lol, something like that happened when I was about 70k from 83 slayer. I mentioned in edge bank that I wanted 85 slayer and some guy was like, yeah so do a million other people. He changed his tune when I mentioned I had 82 slayer. I live in southern Harford county near the Baltimore county line and Aberdeen Proving Ground.

Hi, i'm Lugia0013 and welcome to my thread :). I'm a 17 year old male from Maryland, turning 18 in September. I always knew training Slayer past 85 was a good idea, now the day of reckoning is nigh. I want 91 RC for when the price of dark bows collapses, and 99 Mage for a second 99, protection from abyss pkers, and because spellbook swap is only 3 lvls away from 99. The goals in order of planned achievement: 85 Mining 99 Fletching 90 Slayer 91 Runecraft 99 Mage Why I want them: 85 Mining - Mining Runite is an opportunity for some extra profit while alching all the bows from fletching. 99 Fletching - It would be my first 99 stat and it allows me to train mage and get some money. 90 Slayer - Z0mg, a slayer update past 85 :o. If I can rush to 90 fast enough, I can kill the dark beasts while dark bows are still expensive \ . I KNEW training slayer past 85 would be a good idea, i'm totally laughing at the abyssal demon campers with only 85 :lol:. 91 Runecraft - Failsafe for when dark bow prices collapse. 99 Mage - My original goal was 94, but I was considering making mage my second 99. Then the new lunar spells come out and I definately want 96 for some serious lunar slayer. Since I already want 96, I might as well get 99. It would be way more satisfying than like 80-99 cooking. How I plan to get them: 85 Mining - Achieved :D. 99 Fletching - Achieved. 90 Slayer - Mad rush with lunar magic and a cannon. 91 Runecraft - Craft the nats to alch my bows, then craft like 70k cosmics for 99 Mage, then craft for world 66 laws until 91. 99 Mage - Finish alching my bows at the heros guild to get 94. There's no such thing as too many specters. Specters are one of my favorite tasks. They're the ultimate herblore/farming monster and you can use the salve ammy e against them for major pwnage. Also the more specter/nech/dagonnoth tasks you get, the more seeds you'll have when you decide to get 99 Farming and Herblore :D.

For a while, I didn't know how to get rs music since it was unavailable on Firefox so I ended up making musical associations. Age of Empires 3 - general skilling or the wilderness Paper Mario - running through mort myre swamp F-Zero - the city of varrock and my smithing circuit at the time Later I found out that rs music was available on IE . So for a while I switched to that with Overture being the first song I heard. Now it's availabe on Firefox and my favorite songs to listen to are: Temple of Light, Warrior's Guild, We Are The Faries, Waterfall, Volcanic Vikings, Understanding, Background, Overture, and Garden of Summer

Since when does PC gives Slayer EXP? By the time I have 99 all melee stats, my slayer will easily be in the 90s. The fact that I have 86 Slayer now shows that i'm not a pc noob(or a 24/7 abyssal demon camper). The only thing i've pced is some mage exp because alching was getting boring. Until PC gives slayer EXP, I have a way to show that i'm not a pc noob. If PC ever does give slayer EXP, I will be one of the many to rant.

Nice guide Wakka, this is one of the reasons I decided to get 74-85 mining. I hope there's still something to mine by the time I get 85 :ohnoes:. But if not, I still plan to get 99 fletching and what better place to alch 20k+ bows than next to rune rocks \? Edit 3-26-07: I got 84 Mining today and decided to stout some runite according to this guide. I got 21 ores in about 30-35 minutes and only ran into 2 other miners :D . I did this at about 2:15-2:45 PM GMT. This is still the best place to mine runite if you're not alching since it beats getting pked :wall:. I don't think this could effectively be done when the Americans are home though :( . Edit 3-30-07: Got my 85 Mining yesterday \. I started alching next to the heros guild rune rocks switching worlds when both ores are mined. Compared to what I expected/feared it's been RAINING RUNITE . On the first trip I got 24 ores in about 1140 alchs. Second trip I got 23 ores in 729 alchs. Heros guild is hands down the best place to alch while mining rune.

The question I have is why did you have your blue mask out while you were alching? Yew longbows and nats will definately protect over a mask which I believe is 8 gp at the general store at death. I personally will not take my green mask or santa out of the bank if I also have out 2 or more items that would protect over it at death. Call me overcautious if you want, but I heard of someone who lost her red mask at the fishing guild to an evil chicken combined with a lost connection. Had you and her done what I do with my rares, both masks would be safe.

Jungle Horrors Turoth Kurask Bronze Drags ABYSSAL DEMONS, Nechs, Specters For Gargoyle tasks you could use the old fashioned method of using food instead of Guthan. I lost connection there once and was near full hp from monkfish. When I logged back on I still had 64 hp left :D. Had I been guthaning and down to like 20-30 hp, things could have been ugly :ohnoes:.

Horned Graahk: Get in a Graahk's way and you're going to know about it, however briefly. Spotted Kebbit: It's on a permanent sugar rush. Red Chinchompa: It looks fluffy and cute, it's probably deadly. Advisor Ghrim: He probably hasn't smiled since the third age. Guards from Fremminik Isles quest: He's on insult duty.
