Yes, if you die, you lose your stuff. With pray pots you can do it. At your level, one mistake will kill you. :P Do you have 43 prayer? I'm guessing no, so without protection prayers, these mounds will wait for you, Grasshopper. :P My two cents also says you need to wait. But if you give a try, we'd love to hear a 68 vs Barrows story. :)

I'm one of the dragon freaks. Anything dragon is in my bank. I want the boots. Full dragon without the chain just isn't full dragon. My outfit is red. If I had a party hat now, it would be red. I used to have a set of 11 red boots and gloves before the Farming-Bank Crisis of 2005. (lol) Its like having full rune with an addy plate. Uh-uh. Its all about value, and I valued that chain highly. I have a new fear now when I wear it with other high value equipment. Puts a whole new edge on the game knowing that it will probably drop if you die. *gulp* *stops typing* Work is soooooo slow.

Hehe. I've done it, for sure! You know, for everyone reading, thats the best PK defense in the wild. The "ladder move". If you go up and down a ladder, no one can attack you, and all they can do is try to wait for you to come back up... its easy to do this until you have avoided the combat for at least 10 seconds so you can log. TIP OF THE DAY! Use the ladders to save your hides when being PK'd.

Well, feel comforted that I'm not done. I got the chain back, but I still need to get Guthan's back. Stay tuned. :)

I mine rune at the lava maze dungeon, though. I haven't seen a soul there in months. Everytime I go there, its all mine. People are too scared to go down so deep, even the PKers. :P

I love those fishsticks. Actually, they are the fish filets. Golden Brown, sweet and juicy, perfect with tartar sauce. But, I will never look at them the same again. No, the guy is right, I won't be doing that again. lol. And I have gotten out my rubber chicken and will eternally chase you across Fally Park with it for even mentioning that. :P I still have to get my guthan back. I miss that more than the chain, thats for sure. But now I can do Barrow runs without using rune plate. lol. I'm a little bummed because I was really close to my "bank goal" I almost had a duplicate of everything. I was gonna post this really cool bank pic. Perfect organization. Lines of 11's. Lines of 2's. I was even gonna have 11 mil. Now I have more than a page of items at the bottom of the bank all jumbled up like we're all used to. All I needed was another dragon square and I had it all lined up. And I was gonna go into money mode and get a party hat, bank it, and find some 18 yr old cutie and retire on Etcetaria Island. But nooooooo! Now I'm sick of money mode so the party hat plan is outta the question. Oh well, I have my santa. Its gonna go crazy too. But I don't think I could ever sell it. Leesters X-mas's on Runescape is a tradition. Anywaaaaaay, I kinda I feel like I cheated. Instead of working hard for a month, like I planned, I raiped and pillaged my own bank account. lol. That was weak. But on Day 4 (which got lost in the editing :( ) it overwhelmed me. On the positive side.....and this what made me decide to do the bank sale..... I get to build it again, and thats gonna me more fun than mining rune for a month. - Iron Dragon assignments will be tackled instead of turned in. (need legs) - Level 3 clues will have much more excitement (I miss my dup Robbie) - Dragon med drop from Barrows chest will be much happier. - Level 2 clues might even be attempted. (lots of work, and major junk. lol) 44k is brutal though. I can't remember the last time I only had 44k gp in the bank. Oh, was I being positive? lol. Yeah, but... 44k? Yikes. Anyway, I'm getting too used to rambling on here. One more thing.... I've met some really cool people because of this event. I've seen some amazing acts of generosity. I can never publicly tell you how many people offered me free stuff. To each and everyone of you, even though I couldn't accept it (which confused the heck out of most of you), it really changed my viewpoint of the average RS human quality. I might let my kid play one day after all. Thank you all. Its been really impressive. Game on! Barrows time for me. Cooooooooome on Guthan baby! :D I feel such a bad streak coming on. lolol. Shh! Don't SAY that! ;) See ya there.

Thats why you need to follow the no-cost routine. You follow the guide, and you'll only have to provide food. Why you guys insist on spending money down here? Hehe. Take your time, so you can do it many times. Kill dharok and Karil on prayer (no pray pots, just recharged) Mage Guthan and Torag with melee defense Range outfit against Ahrim Chicken out on Verac and get him behind a rock downstairs. If you wanna chicken out on all the melee brothers to save food, go ahead. Get ready for a high kill count and a long stay and use an empty server.

Yeah, I know.... But, I think doing Barrows full time was the most money I ever made doing anything.. including rune mining/clue hunting. If you do it enough, the odds work to your favor. But if you do it part time, a bad streak is possible. I could make a bunch of law runes, I guess.That guy a few posts ago mentioned that. Thats not bad money. Hmmm... yuck..I hate walking back and forth Sooooo much. I have had my fill of blue dragons, it bores me now.. Rune mining really is still the best skill-cash. 12-15k an ore is pretty good, and that lava rock is all mine it seems. I think I'm just gonna keep doing what I'm doing, switching back from Barrows and rune mining/clue hunting and soon I'll be there. :) Can I resist taking Verac down to KQ once or twice? Or a long, hopeful stint down to the dustdevils? Lol. Probably not. ;)

I don't recall reading ... how did the assignment go? Did the cannon help? How many cannonballs did you use? Curious minds want to know ... Flint1314 Due to the multi attack and the power of the cannon balls, it helps immensely. The first time it was a rush... the xp was FANTASTIC. The assignment was done in a time warped kind of quickness. And that was nothing compared to the Dagonoth assignments. Thats actually so good, its dangerous. You have that cannon firing max speed at 20 targets, all attacking you at once. Trying to keep up with eating, collecting all the hi level seeds they drop, and keeping the cannon loaded, its a wild ride. You can burn through 1000 cannonballs in 15 minutes there, I'd bet.

I'll sell some of them, and let some smithers do the rest of em and sell the kites on World 1 or so. I like to try to get around 15k for each ore if I'm providing the coal, or 13k raw ore. I'll be selling kites for 45k like crazy. My favorite smither of all time just leveled to rune kites, so get ready Naej. lol. 13k an ore adds up fast, but I've got alot of adding to do. lol

I actually had to suicide on that quest. Same thing, stuck there without a tele. I rather'd kill myself than walk back. lol. I dropped some decent stuff to do that. hehe.

Safe spot: From what i hear, no one has been able to use the safe spot. Don't know if its gone or not, but there are different spawns, and that would make safe spots different. Its just too hard to try and find one. Ppl die running around trying to find a safe spot instead of just doing it the real way. Other armor than Guthans: No. (If you can get thru the waves of 90's, 180's and 30+ 360's without using any food without guthans, you're my hero.)

Hehe, the rune rock running idea isn't gonna fly. I showed up and there was no on there. All day. But it was just a fluke, and its not gonna work. I doubt I'll even use the twin rocks now. Thanks for the Yew seeds. :) The xp on those kick. It was truly training while offline. Plant a tree, come back in a day and get 7k xp.

:oops: Who bumped this thing? lol. Sorry, folks, but I don't have any scarecrows left. This guide was written when the skill was new.. If you would like to gather bronze spears, any farmer would be happy to make them for you, including me. :) A quick edit is in order. lol.

Day 3: Yes, people still mine rune. Halloween is over. Everyone has their scare emotes and silly zombie heads. The rune rocks are back to normal, and now I know why I go to the Lava Maze. After work and life, I log on 8pm Pacific. No more glowing rocks on every world. In fact, I couldn't find a single one. I try worlds all over the board, and I log on 9 and as I log on, one of the dead rocks lights up. Then the other. I'm close. I switch again, and click the play button to a double 19 magic bow special to a 99. Fine. Get me outta here. I walk over and smack him a couple specials on the drag scimmy, no zeros, and beeline it to the KBD and I'm at Castle Wars which just flooded with an ending game. Hey, no work no play, right? I bank my itty bitty rune pile and grab a super set and some cool equipment and proceed to team up with a 120 flag holding genius (she ran around the horse cart. lol), a 110 mage with antiques, and me with my whip. We secured the shut out. 6-0. Back to work, I head to Lava Maze, and hally up greaters... and am almost through the 2 dose supers I take before I FINALLY get a clue. Too long to wait for one. It takes a really long time to mine 25 rune, one rock at a time, one world at a time, but at least I'm all alone there. I take my 84 kg and make the very nervous walk back with a full load of rune and no food. I do the clue. Its really easy, no trips to the wild, and only one puzzle. Of course, its the junkiest clue I've ever done as I only get a rune pick, shark, and coins. :shock: Bleah! 2 hours work and I have 25 rune ore and a rune pick. I resist trying the Barrows, and look to my bank. Yeah! Time to rape the bank! muhahahha! 141 tanned black dragon hides. Look at friends list and track down a crafter Alch black hide bodies. Woooo. That was fun. 8k plus each. Craft and alch 28 blue taneed hides I had. I grab all the rune items and my extra sara legs. Switch to World 1 Varrock, and luckily the market is still there, and located pretty much the same. (Its been awhile) I hate this place. The noise gives me a headache. I sold the sara legs for 600k quickly, and then had a fire sale on the rune items. At those prices they went super fast. One guy bought almost everything in bulk. He had fun. lol. And so did I, as I raked in over 2 mil. A friend calls, the dog wants to run, life happens... Got a good 3 hours in, and I left the oven off. Status: 10.6 mil gp 184 rune x 12.5k = 2.3 mil 15.1 mil to go for chain. Still need Guthan Helm and Warspear from Barrows. Wish me luck. Tonight I will dance with Karil and friends.

Not true. Using ancient magiks you can teleport to canafis bank can't you. Yes. The green ecto vial you get from Ghosts ahoy is farther away, out by the farming patches. Without ancient magick, its closer than walking from Varrock.

Day 2: Well, its Halloween. And its also Update night. What a good time to see the rune rocks in the wild, eh? Everyone should be busy. Now, I've been a rune miner for a long time. And I know what the rune rocks in the wild were like. You have about 10 miners up there fighting for all the rocks, and the pkers are switching worlds just as fast. So, I get my cheap black hides, dragon shield (in case I need to run into KBD lair and tele to escape PK) dragon scimmy and pick. A few shark, and I make the long walk. Whoops. Green dragons. I forgot my way here. Lol. Go east, young man, go east! Luckily they didn't remember all the whoopings I put on em, and they let me walk through. I get to the rune rocks, and they're lit up! Wow, cool. First world, first rock, and I've got a glower! I mine those two, and switch worlds. Bam. Lit up again. I start switching worlds right up the line, bottom first. I never saw a soul. I never had one rock that wasn't lit. The rune rocks were all mine. Is this Runescape? Did I log onto the same game I've been playing for 3 years? Maybe I just got really lucky. After I overdosed on rune ore, I did 3 barrow runs, and had that bad feeling that i was gonna get junk tonight. lol. Back to the rune rocks. lol Again, wide open. I mined another load. Went to bed, got up in the morning, and boom. Again, wide open. Does anyone mine rune anymore? This is going to be easier than I thought. I am now looking for a runner. I need someone from Forums that is a recognizable name so if you scam me, I can destroy you on here. lol. I'm looking for someone to run ores back to the bank for me, I'll pay you a Rune Kite or Rune Plate for running 100 rune ore from 7pm to 9pm California time (Pacific or PST) Please, if you're a rune miner, and you're reading this and thinking you'll give it a try, don't go up there from 7 to 9 pm Pacifac time, as you'll be hard pressed to find a good rock.
