Eek. Whenever I hear a Dharok death like that, I cringe. Every guide you read will stress dont EVEN THINK of taking on Dharok toe to toe. 2 hit anyone in the game, he can. ANY of the others, you can risk it if you really wanna save that pray pot. But never him. I hope this post saves someones life. lol. PS. Good luck on getting it back, and I hope you keep the blog up. Your first entry already had deaths and dragons, so I'm good with it. lol.

Huh? Nah, you WANT this kind of banter on the thread. Its helps verify the thread. Here's my spin on Verac.... The set effect allows a player to hit max damage through prayer. If this is by design, then Verac the monster should be able to do the same thing. I don't think its by design. I believe that the ability to hit max hit thru players prayer is a bug. But without some bug reports sent in, we'll never know. :P

Ah, yes. The Verac bug. No one seems to want to report it. lol. Or they planned it this way. The real Verac will never hit through your prayer. A player wearing Verac can hit through another players prayer. Doesn't make sense, but thats how it is.

Nice, I like the prices section.... Something I caught.... you said Verac hits through prayer (You meant armor) and then you said it doesn't hit through prayer, and very good info on KQ prayer situation. Not many ppl know that its not REALLY a prayer, just a super high defense in those classes. Just a typo. Hehe. I like typo's much better than misinformation. :D

I think so, but its not really confirmed, but very close. Once when Ahrim had a twin in the tunnels, I got 6 drops (2 blood drops, 2 bolt rack drops, torag legs, 1 blood drop) + coins from that. So, did the rats drop the coins? I don't think so, but can't confirm.

Cool, I could use that, too. Was with someone today that got torag plate. Could have used that, too. Then I go and get Torags legs. Already had that. lol. It was Torag Day today. :P So in order to make sure he was fully covered, I sold the duplicate legs and bought the hammers. :D 4 more pieces left to re-complete set.

This guide was up before the Tip It one. People screamed for the stats. It made the guide complete, at the time. Now, you're right, its just redundant. But... I own stock in a paper company, so.... Print away. :twisted:

I think they tweaked it to make it better, actually. I don't think they've ever tweaked the chest before, but there are so many reports of double/triple chest rewards, and for the first time ever there are are reports of the same brother dropping two items. Even happened to me.

Yeah, thats for Tele Lumby. It skips by the tele options pretty early on. Also offered are Camelot, Lleyta and Ardy. I use lumby because its closest to an altar, and I do my banking in Cannifis on the way back.

Verac is a cool set. Its awesome just for the prayer bonus alone. And I've heard its effective against the brothers, since they have all that armor on and have 99's. Never tried it. Its a great set to have. Good for KQ, fight pits, and prayer training.

Yes, it will remember your kill count, which brothers you've killed, and which one was your tunnel mound. Whether you die, log, or switch worlds, the memory stays until you open the chest.

If it were that easy! My tactic? 1)Kill Dharok with prayer. Should have 40-50 prayer left -If he is tunnel mound, do Verac. 2)Kill Karil with superattack pot with slash attack. 0-30 pray left. -If he is tunnel mound, do Verac, and save your food. lol. 3)Do Verac IF you have 24 pray or more. Skip him if not. -If he is tunnel mound do Torag. 4)Do Torag - No pray. Maging dressed in melee. -If he is tunnel mound go to Guthan. 5)Guthan - same thing. -If he is tunnel mound go to Ahrim 6)Ahrim - Range all the way. No pray. -If tunnel mound, skip go in. 7)If no tunnel yet, go to Verac and go in the tunnel. I save Verac for a safespot if I don't have enough prayer after Dharok and Karil. And I don't go toe-to-toe with Verac. He's mad at me for spreading rumors that he's a girl. He whips my wagon.

The worst I ever had was Karil and Ahrim in the same tunnel. The computer in my head froze up when I was trying to figure out how to attack them. lol. Range outfit, er, mage the ranger, er... 20 20 20 EEK! lol. CLICK GREEN VIAL! CLICK GREEN VIAL! ABANDON SHIP, CAPTAIN CAN"T THINK!! lol ABANDON SHIP!! I was at the ectoplasym gobbling lobbies. lol. I was down to 8 hp when I landed. Gotta love the panic button! :D

Yep. Thats what he would have hit you for if you aren't praying. Best to wear melee armor on him even when praying.

Something to consider. What about the Ardougne Teleport. It maybe closer to an alter. It's across from the store. Also it takes only two types of runes where Lumbridge takes three. Also two banks are close to the alter. Excellent guide though. Its not closer, but a good option. I don't like the 2 laws per pop, though. The Lumby walk from tele spot to altar is so close you can see it on the mini map. Definately my tele spot of choice. I hate walking. lol

I don't really consider it very rare. A run of 10-20 trips to the chest, you'll probably get somethign worth over a mil. Its not even semi-rare... Its more like.... Kinda "barely-rare".

Hmm.. 70 defense with whimpy melee armor 1 magic with uber mage armor. I guess the dog is more important than the collar. :P Yeah, with that attack level, I'd mage him too.

The barrows brothers are pure. Ranger has level 1 mage. Even with the best magic defensive armour in the game, that level 1 mage lets you melt him. Your mage will hit a LITTLE bit harder and more often on the melee brothers. Even though they're all level 1 mage, the outfit helps a little. I prefer to slash Karil.

Hehe. Got some bad news for ya... You got really lucky. Average is about once in every 18 trips to the chest. And to get exactly the item you're looking for? You can have all my party hats if you get the helm on the next drop. (Before the spams start, I have no party hats, so he can have all of em)

He has the best melee defense in the game. Somewhere in the high 260's from his armour, and he has 99 defense. His magic defense is... well, hes a mage magnet, as his melee outfit is heavily penalized for magic, and he has a magic level of 1. And you can kill all melee brothers with safespots in the tunnels.
