It is a bug, even though Jagex refuses to acknowledge its existance. They don't click to attack anyone either. It is just a fault that causes you to auto-retaliate on the wrong person, which causes the skull. And to these idiots abusing the bug, don't bother coming to us with your "omg! I r teh banned" threads. We'll just laugh your sorry wagon off these forums. Actually, yes it is a bug, and I just got back the "Yes, we are looking into thisgetting this fixed" response from Jagex customer support on my bug report. Everyone who put this bug report should get the same response. I hope that a fix is possible. They might not be able to fix it. Here's hoping.

:( Its official. My kid is NOT playing RS. These are values i do not want him to learn. This has been a bummer night for me. I remember all the replies to my "give death piles back" telling me that I'm crazy, what they lose, its their fault. If people die, they deserve to lose their stuff. The lack of empathy is shocking. I agree with the "if they are a jerk, I keep it" posts, but the number of "their loss, my gain" posts blew me away. And its "fun" to auto skull people and make them lose their hard earned barrows sets when they expect to keep the three items. Eww. I was at barrows and some guy was so proud that he raided someones death pile, and showed me "his loot". He was so proud. Like he earned it somehow. :roll: I hate the culture of greed in RS. Not something I want to teach my kid, thats for dang sure. When people see me maging barrows in full dragon, I get "please die" alot. . I remember one person even said "Leesters, your guide really helped me, but I still hope you die. Hahaha." Gee, thanks. I'm all warm and fuzzy now You all know how I feel by now. Most of you don't get where I'm coming from. I probably take the game too personally. I haven't been flamed more in a year than I have tonight. lol. Right now, I'm really turned off on the RS culture of looting death piles, pking people with bug abuse, teleothering barrowers to make them die, scammers, hackers, and merchants trying to give too little, and take too much. Trust me, the pkers know all too well about it. Its the noobs like me that never go in the wild that are the ignorant ones. I'd rather save a noob, than risk informing a pker. If they wanna abuse a bug, thats fine. Thats what the report abuse button is for.

This is a great update, prolly the best of all time. Its a Pkers dream out there. Just hate the bug abuse, thats all. I expect to die out there. But i don't expect to get auto skulled when not attacking. lol.

Yeah, I went onto the forums, saw the activity. The bug has been around for a long time. The choas elemental has nothing to do with it. Its just a bug with multi pking, thats all. Yes, the choas elemental WILL unequip your items, and if you're inventory is full, POOF. lol. Nice trick, that. I was sitting there kicking it, going, huh?? The thing is that the pking bug has been around a long time, and yes, I'm sure they know about it, but they never fixed it. Thats the part that "bugs" me. *chuckles* So, I figured that people sending in more bug reports will make them put in higher on the priority list. I honestly believe that Jagex listens to the players if ENOUGH of them talk. So, keep sending in those bug reports folks! Thanks for being cordial, Condor. It made a bad mood better. *bows*

Oh no no. If you get attacked, you are allowed to retaliate without a skull. By design, anyway. The bug spoils the design.

It seems to be only a group, only available in multi-attack.

Most definately should have been a Rant. *sigh* Now, this is going to be a flame war, and will probably get this topic locked, when all I'm trying to do is warn people of a very dangerous bug. Hopefully with the heavy use on the forums because of the update, everyone will see the warning before it disappears.

This bug is history. First hand tested by me and a bunch of tip it crazies. Hehe. I was attacked by at least 13 ppl, as a non tip it clan came in and tried to kill me. I retaliated against all attackers. So, the bug is at least 13 attackers deep. I don't think anyone will have a situation where they autoretaliate more than 13 people. Thanks for all the bug reports, folks. I really think it helped. And now you can 3 item to your hearts content. I was happy, so I went to the new monster. Not a soul around, and I learned that trying to solo the Choas Elemental while having lag is a very confusing way to die. lol I got tele'd so much I was dizzy, and that bugger stripped me of my entire equipped items multiple times. Did you know that Whip, glory ammy, and ring of wealth keeps over black dragon hide? Its fact. lol. For those of you who haven't, and you go to the wild thinking you are gonna keep your three items, I hope you read this first. There is a bug, thats been around for a long time now. If you are attacked in multi-area wild by a group of pkers, and you have auto retaliate on, you will gain a skull and lose everything. No, you don't have to attack anyone. It will "auto skull" you, and you're in trouble. The fix to this is as follows: 1) Turn off auto retaliate before going into a multi attack wildy area. 2) Swarm Jagex's mailbox with bug reports so they MUST fix it. I have made a bug report, pm'd every player mod on my list, and flooded the official forums with my plea for bug reports. This is a horrible bug, and I'm appalled that they have ignored it, especially with this update coming. Please take the time to make a bug report begging for a fix. You should read all of the ppl that have lost multi million dollar items to this bug. Be careful out there. I lost my whip. This is the most upset I've ever been at this game. When I lost the dragon chain, it was my own stupidity. This was Jagex's fault. And I'm on a mission. Please help me out and send in the bug reports! Thanks!

I guess it flashes up a message for you that distracts you, and when its done over and over again, its like a "spam" of requests that can distract you into not doing what you need to do, ie, drink your prayer pot. Ahh.. a classy way to get ahead Yeah, this behavior classes people somewhere between pond scum and worm feces. If it wasn't "bug abuse", it should be classed as the "behavior" rule, which I can't really remember. I think its rule 1.

When researching Barrows, I sent in a querry to Jagex. They replied that this was "currently" bug abuse, but had a fix in place. Sooooo, if its fixed, how did this guy get teleothered to death?? Hmph. Is the author lying? Or is it not fixed? Bleah.

You did the right thing. Even if you trust them, you shouldn't let them "borrow" multi-million dollar items. There is no exception in this rule for me. IRL friends, friends I've known since day 1... anybody. No one gets password, including parental units. No one gets items, including long time friends. Unless its Leesters, you shouldn't test the trust. :P I even had a situation recently. Someone that I do barrow runs with, that has been very cool, seems very trustworthy, asked me to borrow Guthans for fight cave. Although I trust him, I just never break the rule. Besides, he COULD be tempted to keep it and delete me, and then I'd lose a good barrows buddy AND my Guthans. No exceptions. I do like the collateral idea. If someeone is honest, they won't have a problem with this.

You report them for Bug Abuse. I thought that they had fixed it by allowing you to cast it only once until it is accepted or declined. I read that on here... goes to show you that you can't believe everything you read.

Also, to anyone reading this, tele-othering at the barrows to try to get someone killed is against the rules, and is a bannable offense. If this happens to you, make sure you "report abuse" promptly. For the author, its probably too late, because a report logs the last 5 minutes or something like that. But if you see anyone doing this, report the dirty dog. And wish him well. It doesn't get much dirtier than that. Sorry for your loss.

Well, the zammy book will be easy. The guy at the tower has it, all you have to do is go there and he'll offer to return it. To all: Please turn off "accept aid" when at the barrows to avoid the teleother trick.

Choas Elemental dropped 1000 coins and 3 meat pizzas. lol. Some pkers got the coins, but I ate the pizzas. :wink: EDIT: It also dropped 50 bloods and 1 dose of super defense. Both of these were from the same drops. (2 seperate drops, but each drop contained these items)

*points to link in sig* 43 prayer is all thats required. High mage level not needed, because the melee guys are level 1 mage with negative magic defense in outfit (must mage attack them) High range level not needed, because the mage is level 1 range, with zero range defense in his outfit. (must range attack him) All thats needed is the ability to protect against their powerful offense. Level 43 prayer, and lots of pray pots, and anyone can do it. And use the safespots as much as you can. Try it out. See ya there. :P

I always do it. I'm trying to set a trend by example. Everytime I see someone fighting Dharok with prayer, I note the persons name. If he lets his prayer run out, he'll probably die. If he dies, I will give his stuff back. Don't respond by saying "You're already rich" or "You're level 118, you don't need death piles" Even if it was a red party hat (which I'm working my wagon off for right now) I'd give it back. Its his. He deserves it back. If you died and lost stuff you worked for, woudln't YOU want to get the stuff back? Don't you think your life would be better if you lived by the Golden Rule? Wouldn't it be cool if EVERYONE did this? Did you earn anything in his death pile? Don't you think you'd feel better about yourself if you were a good doobie? On the third one, if you really don't have anything nice to say, just ignore the thread, and don't bash people for posting. There is really no need to tell someone their thread/post sucks. There is really no need to insult someone. Try to live by the golden rule, and your life will be richer. This is a good thread. Not everyone knows that dragon chain will drop if you die while you're carrying barrows or other dragon items. I wish this thread was made the day before I lost my dragon chain, I wouldn't have had to work my wagon off to get a new one. Stop the flame wars. Stop the insults. Stop the retaliations. Please?

Imagine my surprise when my legs and shield kept over the dragon chain in death. No, the dragon chain is not cheaper than legs. Hehe. But the stores think they are. Someone send them a memo from Fally Park, please?
