andrew gower and his financial money making ways
Leesters replied to Iv_Green_vI's topic in General Discussion
Yes, over 600k members. 5 bucks a month. Someone do the math, because my calculator just broke. Over 3.6 million... every month. And he puts money back in the game. His updates are frequent and top quality. He spends a ton of money on staff. He never raises his prices. He supports player querries, and supports a game forum. He listens to the feedback of millions of players.. and acts on it. His development staff is huge. Hes dumping money back into the game, and its paying off by growth thats hard to believe. This guy is my hero. Can you imagine being a multi millionaire off of a computer game? That you invented? Thats as cool as runescape? -
The day I handed over a Dragon Chain.

Nonsense, I can't kill that bee-atch by myself, thats for DAM sure. Thanks for all the kind words, everyone, but .... I didn't really "give away" a dragon chain here. We made a deal, and we stuck to it. He got the chain, and he let me keep the D2H, which is such a hoot to have with the dagganoths and abyss. The special is like a little mini explosion. Hehe. Fire in the hole... er... sword! Next chain we get, if HE gets the drop, he'll be handing over a chain to ME. lol. I'll bet thats gonna hurt. lol. So, as we continue, we'll have a new deal. *HE* gets the d2h drop, and *I* get the chain drop. Karma is such a cool thing. 8) Oh, btw, he went and sold Verac's helm to get the legs. :o *smacks Trojann upside the head* -
It all started at the Barrows. I got a HYT from a guy at the bank, very common thing for me, but this one was different. He followed me to the hills, and kept up with me. Before you know it, I had a Barrow partner that I didn't have to wait for. And I didn't have to teach him a dang thing. I never do barrows with anyone, but he just kept right up with me. In fact, I could say that hes a little faster than me. It was the start of a good friendship. While drooling over my dragon chain, he would tell me of his frequent Kalphite Queen trips, and I've always wanted to do that. Not since they made her harder have I been to the Killer Queen. He wanted a chain bad. I wanted a new thrill. So we became KQ partners. For a few weeks now, we've been going down there, with no luck. But we vowed to continue, maybe one day we'll get lucky. In the meantime, he was trading Barrow sets back and forth because he couldn't quite afford everything. I was trying to teach the young man that when he buys something, keep the dang thing. So I forced him to keep Veracs so we could always go to the KQ without selling it out for something he needed at the moment. Like Guthans. Well, one day I got Guthans skirt at the Barrows along with a spear the same day. The spear was enough for me, so I thought I'd be nice and give him the skirt. On the condition that he could never sell it. Muhaha. On that day, karma played into our hands. We made a deal that I would get any D2H drop, and he would get any chain drop. On the day that I gave him the skirt, the KQ trip we took dropped me a dragon 2 hander. I was quite pleased, as you can imagine. He let me have the sword, and I flaunted it proudly at the fishing guild, edgevilee bank, and everywhere else I could justify wearing it with my full drag. Oh, what a happy day. But still no chain for Trojann. :( Enough of the set up... Its Sunday today. For the last 2 days, Trojann has been bugging the bejeebies out of me about going to the KQ. I was working hard trying to get my farming up and working on infinity magic book. This is all very hard work. I was focused, and didn't feel like doing KQ trips at the moment. Finally, last night I gave in. I promised him a hard day of KQ training the next day. I stayed up late last night and fished my wagon off for shark. We started early. It was a disaster. KQ is very popular now, and we couldn't find a single world where there weren't KQ killers swarming around Shantays bank. Finally we settled on a world, and said to ourselves that we're gonna claim this world as ours, and everyone ELSE can switch. Off we go. It was not pretty, both of us were making mistakes left and right. More mistakes on my part, for sure. The first few were eventful, as I forgot a glory ammy, and brought a dead tele crystal. Trojann runs out of food, and leaves me behind. I can't finish it, the first one we've ever had to abandon, and I click my crystal. No tele. OMG! No glory! I'm stuck here with this nasty bee! I gather my wits, and realize I can just go up the rope. So I do. And all this time we are fighting another KQ team for fighting rights. Finally, they leave, or log, or go somewhere else, or something of the like... and things start going smoothly again. And then it comes. The mother of all KQ's. After 23 trips, we show up for the last run of the day, quite depressed. We go in, just like always, and promptly get owned. In fact, I never even swung at the girl before I was down to 7 sharks. I was getting hit by 31 after 31. I could barely gobble sharks fast enough. Only once in all our adventrues have we ever had to leave her. And that was my climb-up-the-rope adventure earlier that day. But this one was sick. We barely finished the beetle before we started in on the bee (Killer queen has two forms, and you must defeat both of them) I was first to tele out. That was a first. Then Trojann comes limping in behind me. "GO GO GO!" he says. I guess he wanted to get back. lol. After he chastises me for standing there, we run back to the cave. And we continue to get hammered. This was one mad queen bee!! We've never seen anything like it. Finally it dies. There it lays on the ground in front of me. A reddish looking square thing. I right click my mouse. "Examine: Dragon chainbody". *blinks* I run over to pick it up. I type, "Congratulations" "You are the proud owner of a dragon chain" We tele back to the elf city, and I trade him. I put the dragon chain in the trade screen, and click accept. Omg, I just handed over a dragon chain. And I couldn't be more happy about it. Congrats, Trojann, and thank you for sharing this adventure with me. DO NOT SELL THAT CHAIN! :P The End.

Leesters replied to Dalcyte's topic in General Discussion
Alching with benefits: For thieving - 1) Gem stall, ifyou have the level. 2) Nature chest on world 2 for fastest chest respawn. 3) Silver stall, if you need the silver. 4) Monkey islan magic stall. For Looting - 1) Dharoks tomb. Prepare to be flamed. lol 2) Roques castle. Bring tele grab. For prayer - 1) Blood rune chest room 2) Fire Giants room at Waterfall For mining - 1) Heros guild rune rocks 2) Any non wild addy rocks. Market pricing information - 1) Fally park world 2 Any other ideas on where to alch that gives you an extra benefit? -
The seeds are not the primary reason for chasing that dam mole all over the place. Its the nests. Sara brew is a cool thing. And its awfully hard getting those nests. Or it used to be. With the addition of the mole, my herblaw goal immediately jumped to 81 so I can make sara brew. The possibility of getting a tree seed from them is just a nice side benefit.

[Tip] Very good way to have money if hacked.
Leesters replied to v3nd3tta's topic in General Discussion
Part 2: Never ever ever give your password to any friends, family members, or players. Not even the family dog. Not even mom gets the password. No exceptions to this rule, and follow Nathans system, and you'll NEVER be hacked. -
hehe. Its still an isolated incident. There are a couple slayers here talking about a cold streak. Most probably, thats all it is... a cold streak. Half of the other hundreds of 85 slayers are probably having hot streaks. And the other half are having cold streaks. And some number in between are getting the correct odds. Its all about statistics, and the total population of 85 slayers will all work out in the wash. Unless its actually true, and they made the whip drop rarer, the price will continue to drop, because there are enough slayers to even out the odds. If it IS true, and its NOT an isolated incident, the market will reflect this, because the other slayers will have the same increased odds, and also will be having a tough time getting the drops, and prices will start to climb. The market does not lie! Hehe. It cannot be manipulated by one person. It cannot be controlled by a small group. Runescape economy will tell us soon enough. I'll bet you my ammy's that the prices will steadily, slowly continue to slide as more ppl reach slayer 85, and more whips are introduced into the game. Whos taking the bet?

Guide to Getting the "Drop" at the Giant Mole
Leesters replied to Leesters's topic in General Discussion
Unfortunately, you don't get credit for any damage a poison does. So, the poison won't add to the total damage you do, which doesn't help you getting the drop. But it does help him die faster, although usually other players have already used the dds, and its already poisoned. Also, this takes away from the time you can attempt to whack it with Dharoks. I do like the sound effect help when it dies. I don't play on sound, but it looks like the cannon and death sound effects will be very helpful. -
Go into multi wild and find a clan with auto-retaliate on. Three item with whip and 2 dragon items. Most ppl don't know the auto skull bug is fixed, and watch them scream "Skull damit!!!!!!!" You wont. They'll get your bones. Muhahahha!
-
I'd eat a lobbie. Its on page 1, row 2, slot 1 of my bank, and wouldn't want to risk taking a poison hit, or searching through page 2 in the four rows of herblore junk. :P

Pun intended? Hehe. Boots of Lightness is definately an option. With only -4 kg, and with the str bonus only +2 of the climbing boots, I don't think either helps much. -

Guide to Getting the "Drop" at the Giant Mole

Yeah, teams are gonna be more successful. This is for solo. If you're going down there alone, I got every drop that I chased. And I didn't even use the cannon. Of course level 118 helped, i'm sure. -

This will help you get the drop from the giant mole with all the competition thats down there. It is a multi-attack area, and many folks are down there competing with you. Who ever hits the most damage on the mole will get the drop when it finally dies. This guide will help you get most drops. It involves full Dharok and an optional cannon. _________________________________________ SUGGESTED EQUIPMENT: Full Dharok Climbing Boots Gauntlets Cape of your choice Charged Glory Ammy Ring of Wealth SUGGESTED INVENTORY: Spade Lantern Tinderbox Super Attack Potion Super Strengh Potion 11 4-dose Super Energy Potions 1 Prayer Pot 3 Shark (not really important) Cannon 60 cannon balls Interesting inventory eh? This place is not what you would expect. _____________________________________ GETTING THERE: The mole is under Falador Park. You will see new mole hills in the park now. If you would like, you can go talk to the Gardner there, and he'll give you some background on this mole. But you don't need to. Stand on the mole hill, and dig with your spade. If you do not have a lantern or tinderbox in your inventory, it will warn you and you won't go in. If you have spade, lantern, and tinderbox, you will land in the entrance of the mole lair. _________________________________________ GAME PLAN: You must attack the mole, and chase it down when it "digs" which teleports it to a new place in the lair, and he does this in the middle of combat. And you must hit more damage than the other players down there to get the drop. So, here we go..... __________________________________________ ATTACK PLAN: Go to the middle of the lair, and it won't be hard to find, because this is the place where the mole will respawn, and players will be standing there. So find the group of players standing around, and you'll hear everyone groan when they see your Dharok outfit. Set up your cannon in the middle of the room, fill it with cannonballs and set it on auto attack. It will only attack the mole when it is in range. Have your sound on, so that if you hear the cannon fire, you know where the mole is. Now, you must lower your hitpoints. Extinguish your lantern, and wait. In about 10 seconds, you will start taking damage. It will drain your hit points 1 at a time very rapidly. The screen will be dark, so you will not be able to see your hitpoint bar. Instead, watch your stat menu, and wait till you see your hitpoints down to about 20. Then switch to inventory menu and relight the lantern. Do this quickly, or you will drain to zero and die. Now that you have low hit points, you will be able to utilize the Dharok special effect. Now, drink your super attack and super strength potions, and wait for the respawn. When the mole spawns, put on your melee prayer, and start attacking it. He can hit for 20, but will only attack one player. You might wanna wait until someone else engages it first so that he will be the player the mole attacks. The mole can switch to you if the other player stops attacking, though, so melee prayer is advised. When the mole gets to half hits, it will soon dig out of the area, and you have two choices. If you were successful in some mega-Dharok hits, you should chase it around the lair until it is dead. If you hit nothing but zeros during this first phase, just save your energy pots, and wait for the next one. If you were successful with Dharok at the spawn, run around and chase him down, and continue to attack him until he is dead. When he is under half hits, he digs ALOT so you will be running around. Most likely, you won't be the one that actually kills it. But you must chase him down so that your death pile is found before it is revealed to the other players. When you find the death pile, or when you kill him yourself, make sure you take the mole skins and claws first, as his item drops are pretty junky. But you are here for the nests, so get those skins and claws. You trade these to the Gardner, and he will give you 1 nest with seeds in them for each skin and claw. _________________________________________________________ RESTOCKING: When your prayer is used up, when you are out of energy potions, or you have an inventory full of skins and claws, use your charged glory ammy and rub to Edgeville. Get tele runes to Lumbridge and Falador. Tele to Lumbridge and recharge your prayer. Tele to Falador and take skins and claws to the Gardner. Get your nests. Restock at bank again. Repeat procedure. __________________________________________________________ TIPS: When you are running around, turn off your prayer. When you are running around looking for the yellow dot, make sure you keep your energy up. When the mole is near death, keep in mind that his death pile is probably laying around somewhere, and you MUST FIND IT SOON, or other players will get it. __________________________________________________ Happy Mole-ing! Hehe. CREDIT TO: Topazjewel and jessy61071 for cannon procedure.

odd, on these tests make sure you are "weilding" the secauters. I get much better results from herbs and crops when weilding them. I have no data, though, as I don't farm enough. Its gonna take a whole lotta data, like 500 harvests I'm guessing, to determine if its statistically significant. I know I "see" a difference when weilding. I got 13 herbs once. First time ever.
-
I think we'll release them when we put the post for that event which is later in the month I'll volunteer to be a slave. :) Hehe, i'd make you barrows for the whole hour and give me *ALL* drops...:P Really, now? With my luck? Hmm... Actually, I DID just get a spear last night. :D I would think you'd make me mine rune for an hour. Or give all KQ drops. Or fletch magic bows. Or farm snapdragons. Just please, oh please, don't make me pick flax! Nah, you'll probably just make me walk around Fally Park and type "green:wave: Trojann2 is the best CW player ever!" Should be fun, no matter what they make me do. lol.

Can you really set up the cannon, leave it, and come back? Was I reading that right?
