LEESTERS BARROWS GUIDE - edit 12 Jul 2006 (AOW discussion)
Leesters replied to Leesters's topic in General Guides
No, it has no effect on the chest drops. Definately advisable to use ring of life instead. r u sure? i sent in a query asking if ring of wealth or crumbling tome increaces ur chances of somethin good, and Mod Mark H answered that a ring of wealth would. I would give a screenie, but idk how to post them here. Here is the Quote at least. Dear Skaajned, Thank you for contacting RuneScape Customer Support. A ring of wealth when worn will help increase the chance of getting an item of worth from the barrows chest. A crumbling tome however will not help increase your chance. Making sure to kill all of the brothers first is also a good way to make sure you get a good item. I hope that this helps resolve your problem. Yours Sincerely Mod Mark H RuneScape Customer Support ********************************** On 23rd November 2005, you sent us the following: I was wondering, does an equipped ring of wealth, or a carried crumbling tome affect the chances of getting a barrows item from the barrows chest? Thank you in advance. Thats the first time they've said anything other than a definate no. Either this is made up, or that guy is new, or they changed things. Time to test that.... Who wants to submit some additional querries and post pics if its news. :) -

Thats the first pic of a drop with two pieces ever posted. Looks valid, too, the rune and bolt rack counts are accurate, from six brother drops. Congrats. lol. I've gone probably 600 times plus, never had a double drop. :) -

I do not have to read any more than the title of the thread. SMITHING! To get to 99 smithing is just super super hard. Its sick. Other skills (herblore) MAY be harder to level, but a "99 smither" has the distinction of making every rune item on the board. It's always been the ultimate 99. And I will never see it. That I promise you. lol.

No offense taken! What he did was a labor of love that is a must read for any Runescaper. It is currently Stickied in the Archive of Wisdom. Here is 56Warrior's "Omegawytch Chronicles". Enjoy it one more time. Its at the bottom of the first post. _______________________________ Off topic: If you get this story locked, I'm gonna be very unhappy with you. And for those who quote the rule not to bump useless posts, keep within the spirit of the board. New users come here every day. Some posts deserve to be bumped every now and again. Just because you've already read it three times, doesn't mean it should be locked. And this one is stickied in the Archive, which happens to mine, so deal with the bumps. Kk? Good.

What about closing it yourself? Lol. Can you do that? Is there a "close" option? -

"instead of" should be changed to "in addition to". You can still get him at the doors, so be careful down there. :P If you open the chest, he'll pop up... supposedly.... if its already open just wait for it to close. lol. (You have to open AND search, remember?) If its open and you click on it, you'll get a search, you'll be done, and you'll have missed the 6th guy. But remember, if you get a hard guy for the tunnels (Verac and Dharok) you can still get him at the ranging spots with the doors. :) -
Lol. Runescape will never let you leave! I've been there, I know. Just when you get bored with everything, they WILL pull you back in with an update. But then again.... The updates that kept me pulled in..... First it was the Treasure Trails. Then came Slayer. Then came Barrows. Then came Tzhaar. Then came..... Farming. lol. Thats the one that turned me into an occasional player. Its gonna be hard to top all that stuff. Besides, X-Box Live is much more fun than clicking rocks and picking flax, don't you? Just be careful of your addiction level. lol

Sheeeesh. Barrows with NO prayer.. hmm.. You would need lots of food. And you would have to learn the safe spots and the side step spots or Verac and Dharok will kill you for sure. The ranger too. Yeah, you could do it. You would have to be very disciplined, though. :) -

Very nice! My favorite part was the engraving. Golden rule is my religion man, and runescape needs a big dose of it to go around. I liked how you turned the walk to Fally in real life time. Overnight hike and camping out overnight... lol. I really enjoyed that, thank you. Wish there was more of this on here. -
What would you do with 1 billion GP???!!!!!
Leesters replied to timtim's topic in General Discussion
This is so cheap, but its true... I"d sell blocks of 1 mil GP on Ebay. First I'd get my Blue Phat back and Verac back. You know... I'd think I'd get a red phat now. :) Then I'd sell the rest of the cash. Is that legal? lol. If its not, is it enforced? lol -

I don't think it remembers what kind of monster you've killed. It remembers which six brothers you've killed and kill count. Each brother drops something. The kill count number is part of the formula of that drop table. But I believe its completely random what the brothers will drop. They will drop one of the following: 100-2000 Coins 40ish bloods 80ish deaths 120ish choas 300ish minds 38ish bolt racks And the good stuff But its completely random. Bloodworms do NOT produce blood runes :) I do seem to get more Deaths with a kill count of 20. Good luck! -
Points to sig. Also, all guides are stickied at the top of this forum in the Sticky titled: INDEX OF TIP.IT.FORUM GUIDES - ARCHIVE OF WISDOM :D Some of you folks need to read it, and I sure can tell the ones who already have. LEESTERS BARROWS GUIDE - edit 12 Jul 2006 (AOW discussion)

I lost my password and email address to the Leesters account. :( So I had to make a new one. Wish I could change it. Yeah, when you open the chest the room starts shaking and every 20 seconds or so the ceiling falls on you. Max hit from the ceiling is 4. If the ceiling isn't shaking, you haven't searched the chest yet. I don't have a pic account yet. When I do get around to setting one up, I'll also add the range spots. If someone would like to upload pics for me, that would be great also. :) -
Yay! Thanks for doing this guide, I've been waiting for one. Good work, too. :) Looks like fun, I'm gonna go now. World 2, all my lonesome at first... The scout trip may be the beginning of a wonderful adventure. Maybe a good reason for a new blog! 8)

LEESTERS BARROWS GUIDE - edit 12 Jul 2006 (AOW discussion)
Leesters replied to Leesters's topic in General Guides
Nah, Barrowing with Guthan is too chaotic for me. I do it just the way the guide has it. I can go faster that way. Lately I've been bringing supersets which makes it a little funner. Karil gets majorly owned. 8) Other than that, my inventory is in the middle of the guide. -

I think I'll always call them ancient magick. I don't know whats up with that. lol. They misnamed 'em! Bug report! :D Yeah, I'd be bummed if someone told me they died with a 58 from Dharok when my guide told them it was enough. Eek. Thanks. I hope ppl aren't trying him without prayer or a safe spot. Even with the sidestep, one lag can kill ya. -
You goober. I use the forums while I'm at work. Thats why I'm on here so much. lol. I only play a couple hours a day which makes it harder. Lol, yeah, but you saw me potted. How'd you like that ownage at Karils? :P Lol. Yeah, not my brightest moment. :P No problemo! Its really quite easy and pretty risk free. Wear cheap dragon hides, firebreath shield, a cheap weapon, and bring your pick. A few shark or defense pots for your own amusement, and you'll be ready to go. You just have to be completely defensive. Avoiding conflict, running and logging, and using the KBD lair for the persistant ones will keep you from too much trouble. The only problem is your virtual memory will overload from all the world switching. Hehe.
