  1. The whole point of what I was saying was that you CAN argue with that statistic as it is essentially meaningless when so many other factors are involved. Scotland, on the whole, consumes a lot of porridge. There are very few tigers there. Thus, porridge is an effective tiger repellant. That is an extremely minor factor, a major factor is that Scotland doesn't have the right climate for tigers and that Scotland is part of the British Isles and I can't imagine a tiger swimming the channel. Gunb laws however, i believe along with many others, are a major factor on the difference in shootings in the UK and the US. To add to that; basically is what you are trying to say that gun crime and gun laws are as unrelated as tigers and porridge?
  2. Apparently it was a 'love row' that sparked this nutter off but i wouldn't trust it too much since its just from some tabloid that Paxman just showed.
  3. It is obvious. But like I already said, it's not just one plus one when you're dealing with the diversity of 300 million compared to a fifth of that that barely has the conflict of interest of the 300 million. Agreed, like what Parabola said too. Yeh i do agree with what parabola said to an extent but i just think you can't argue with that statistic. Especially when im saying that that the gun laws are only one factor. And i dont think that the diversity of 5 times more people could count for 55 times more gun murders.
  4. I wish life was as simple as one plus one. But it's not. You forgot to think about how the US is much more diverse than the UK. You also forgot that the UK has about a fifth of the US population. The degree of conflict of interest increases as you go up. I know life isn't as simple as 1+1 thats why i said there are more factors than that. Point about the diversity taken. However; I didn't put this because i thaught people may see it a patronising and i thaught it was pretty obvious but - 300000000/ 6000000 = 5 11000/200= 55
  5. UK population: 60000000 Shootings per year: 200 US population: 300000000 Shootings per year: 11000 Those figures are rough but approximately right. If that doesn't prove gun laws work i don't know what does. I know there are many more factors to take into account but surely restrictions on guns is probably the biggest factor.

  12. At my 6th form and school before we always just go on chhesy game websites and what not. Also some dude hd doone the quake on flash drive aswell. Also i spend a fair bit of time on skysports.com and other sport sites. And more recently weve been going on gpokr.com - check it out its quite fun.
  13. What way is there to have a wedding other than a massive piss up really?
  14. Yes and according to Mr. Mourinho they only play the one competition 8-) I think anything minus AC Milan Chelsea is a grudge match really.
  15. Id say im fairly open minded in most aspects. i say this because i can usulayy see both sides in an argument and will weigh them up and i never really come to a conclusion about stuff eg. on the matter of religion i believe in god but i reckon the bible is aload of cobblers. i am however close minded in other aspects, the main one i can think of being football clubs :D. But overall id say im open minded but there are some things that are *almost* stone cold facts that some people somehow still try and debate such as evolution (i dunno the details but its pretty obvious) so you could say im closed minded in that respect i suppose.
  16. To be honest i would of just walked off and gone somewhere inside with a few more people around so that they wouldn't start owt. Most chavs will just get more people in their group and batter you later or they do round by wher i live. There was only once when i came to fisticuffs with some chav guy when he was in a group of 3 and i was with 4 other mates and this guy squared up to me that i battered but then later a big group came up and kicked seven shades of [cabbage] out of me. So yeh i'd just keep my distance.
  17. This alone doesn't qualify them as scum; but it's amazing how so many people on these forums alone 'support' them but i bet you live nowhere near manchester and probably have never been to a game. And then say your not glory supporters. I suppose i do admire the marketing that they have done so that people do support them for no reason but it's just natural instinct to call them scum :D. Even though i did go see them earlier in the season  . But the ticket had already been bought when i got it off someone so they didnt get revenue there. And i didn't buy any food at the ground and made sure a was tanked up enough so i only needed a few drinks - and i won ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã20 at the bookies there so it worked out OK :). And pompey spud - james should be back as england's no1 despite his advancing years, and big Sol should be back in, but im not sure about Matty Taylor - he's a good player but like bubsa said hes not an international defender or winger so personally i think that theres to much quality in front of him and if included he wouldn't change the way we are playing :(.
  18. HAHAHA SIT DOWN AND SHUT THE F**K UP! and.. I wrote to my essay in Miami...My essay in Glenwood even wrote back.
  19. I think it's just wiered from the kids. But the classroom should never of been left unattended - especially for 15 mins.
  20. I hear southapmton are way too [cabbage]. he will be at fulham is Sanchez stays in charge beyond this season. Rangers if not. Or mabie even Leeds :D
  21. I say you shouldnt of smacked him but hes being a bit of a puff filing charges - over here ud just get a warning and a record for 6 months but i dunno over there.
  22. There we are :D Favourite current player: There you are on the right. The most prolific international goalscorer in Europe this seasom :D And two of the greatest ever players to grace Elland Road: Healey's goal of the season (last year :() Manchester can rave about the Summerbee and Best And there's Liverpool and Arsenal and Spurs and all the rest But let us sing the praises of the lads we love the best As Leeds go marchin' oooon...
  23. I don't agree with that. I watched a documentary a while back and it was about people that had woken up from being in a vegetated state against all the odds and all that jazz. And they were saying that they could understand alot of what was happening and stuff and basically it was so unbelievably scary. I only have vague memories of it cos it was a while ago that I watched it so i cant remember all the stuff exactly but you cant just kill them off really. And in an answer to the title of the thread - to put it simply, yes i support euthanasia.
  24. pompey spud - lol i thought the same thing, exept perhaps the dressed up bird :anxious:
