  1. I am a woman, so I can "multitask" In reality I think the clinical term is procrastination. ;)
  2. The assumption that the Crew's work does not involve a lot of individual research and personal investment is not just wrong, but quite frankly it feels like you're saying we don't put the effort into the site that an user does into their AoW guide. I'm not saying anyone is bad, nor am I saying their guides are, but people have different "modes", some of which are respectable, and others that are not. Like I said, it's their own choice to sink to a troll's level. First "you" (I mean some of those who have been complaining) claim that these users did nothing wrong. Now "you" are justifying their actions while it's obvious that there has been rulebreaking, flaming and whatnot, while "you" claim others are being unreasonable, but doing so insulting people too. Surely you see that some of the recent posters (from the past few hours) were worse than you are claiming those trolls are.
  3. I have an exam tomorrow, and an essay due, and as I've had 8 exams over the past 5 days along with 3 other essay deadlines I kind of lack the time to sleep. The "real" reason for that load of exams is because I was ill during the last exam period, and while having a continuous 40 degrees of fever I only passed 3 of the ones I had then. Bottom line: being sick during an exam period at university (or college I believe you call it) sucks, because having a bunch of resits means you get to skip sleep. xD
  4. Indeed, there is such a thing as not sinking to whatever-person-is-annoying-you's level. Then I don't see the problem. You post a guide for TIF users, and only TIF users get to see/benefit from it. No-one takes it, claims it, or does anything else with it. If selfishness is the motivation for "hating" on that, I'm sorry to say tough luck. To compare that with my situation, guides I (or any other Crewbie) write are published on the main site, in databases or whatever. If I went about behaving like some users have, attacking and insulting others because I felt they were ignorant or stupid, or simply because I didn't like them, and eventually got myself thrown off the Staff (rightfully so I might add), would that mean I get to demand any work I did for the community should be undone? Does the community deserve to suffer simply because I happen to have a rage fit? I think not. Like I said, there is a difference between sinking to a troll's level, and being a better person. Eventually whoever asks for advice will see the difference between a troll and a better person, and thus value one's advice more than the other's.
  5. Buh? It's Staff bashing night. Anyway, now that I've finished my Tjap Tjoy I think I'm going to make myself some nice hot soup. Pulling all-nighters makes me hungry.
  6. As a Crewbie I can honestly tell you that we do not "steal" your knowledge and information. Any user info we use is voluntarily given and the user in question is credited on the pages where his or her information is used. Please don't start having a go at the purple side now too. :( Pretty much how I feel.
  7. Compared to general discussion right now, we're so chill we're colder than Antarctica. My point exactly. I'm staying miles away from the Staff chats or any of the affected sections of the forums now. *Glad she's purple, but upset all the same* Anyway, time for a midnight snack:
  8. I have tried to stay impartial as well and not mix in this, but would you not agree that this trolling and spamming does no good either? What should be done (by both sides) is to go outside, bash a tree until that frustration is gone, go back inside and converse like adults. I'm sure neither party is unreasonable, but the behaviour by certain users portraying themselves as the victims was indeed rather hurtful and upsetting. I'm not going to pretend to know the details of what transpired, and honestly I do not want to know. Mods require evidence for their actions, records of things like that are made, and consequences follow for those involved. I understand that people are curious and want to know what's going on, but won't that only cause more drama? To those of you that are demanding things, please just stop for a minute, calm down, think about what you want and then say it like a mature person and not a troll. Just remember that we're all human. Like I said, we're all human.
  9. I like the random peaceful nature of forum games. Please don't ever change
  10. BETTER? Yes. Thank you. :)
  11. Hii. No need for the pink, I prefer purple. ;) I am? Call me Julie, Jafje or Jules, please. I made "Jaffy" up when I was 11. xD Ooh, and yay for being able to reply in locked threads. :shades:
  12. Let it be noted I'm not speaking as Staff in this post, but as an outsider in this apparent conflict. As such I do see a lot of personal attacks, trolling and pointless flaming. To any human being that is upsetting, whether you have a pretty coloured name or not. If you cannot act your age, please just act childish in private. If you have issues about certain users leaving, why not PM an admin or super mod? If you wish to comment on the moderation publically, why not do so here?
  13. Reading 1 minute ago at the time of this post.
  14. I see him looking at this thread. Got yourself a PepsiSpy?
  15. Hey Pepsi
  16. Grapes are good.
  17. I never claimed all "efficient players" are "efficiency trolls" It's also why I said this in my first post here, but I apologize if you missed that/it wasn't clear enough for you:
  18. Right now running on this stuff, only the version with sugar in it. It's proven quite helpful in skipping sleep, without killing too many brain cells, but it's dangerous stuff to drink, apparently.
  19. Hai there <3: You can call me Julie or Jules, most people do.
  20. Make me a caffeine cake please? I need to pull another all-nighter.
  21. If that's not a sweeping generalisation, nothing is. I believe the clinical term for your condition is called "arrogance"
  22. You must call someone stupid in order to be "right" or make a point?
  23. It's perfectly fine to give suggestions and alternatives, but when someone has made it clear they really aren't interested because they just wish to do it one specific way I don't see why you should ignore their wishes by "rubbing in" that their method is "stupid" as some of the posters did later? The second poster in the example thread (to me anyway) came accross as if he was speaking to a child. None, but flaming isn't alien to that specific forum either. The OP may (or may not) have taken offence to some of the comments though. Maybe that's why he responded like this when (after explaining it a first time) he was not listened to? Sounds pretty agitated to me. xD That's perfectly fine because you're being respectful, as in such cases you'd probably phrase it somewhere along the lines of "You could also consider..." rather than "Your method is stupid, do this instead" which is where I feel part of the problem lies. Of course the same can be said from "the other side", but the point remains. Is it not about showing others respect rather than push through one vision? (<-- more of a general remark)
  24. Left a comment warning people on that video, guy messaged me saying I shouldn't bother warning people, I replied saying I didn't care and then got this back: Looks like that's one less youtube scam going on. xD
  25. Well done. I must say. You managed to show a lot of respect towards Efficiency Beasts by calling them disrespectfull and Tunnel Visioned. Bravo =D> Very few users clearly specify that they do not want the most efficient way to train x skill when posting in H&A which leaves Efficiency Beasts to only assume they are looking for the best (the best being the most efficient). Not answering the question to the best of their abilities ("their" being the efficiency beasts) would show a total lack of respect to the OP by insulting his ability to play the most efficient way. Unless they specify clearly and directly then we can only be left to assume whatever we want. I believe you're misunderstanding what I'm referring to. Perhaps you should read the posts in the thread I linked to, because if you had you should see that several posts, after the OP had noted that he wasn't interested in anything but what he asked, are anything but respectful. It is that kind of posters my quote is directed at. He asked one simple question yet was given an answer to an entirely different question. When he noted he wasn't interested in that, several people felt the need to troll. It is thát kind of "efficiency troll" I am referring to, not the regular efficient player that does act respectful, because they aren't trolls. <_< Like I said, "Better" is usually an opinion with regard to training methods like that. Everyone will agree that rune armour is better than mithril in terms of defence, but when it comes to doing something a way someone finds more fun and may take more time than someone else's preferred method (or the other way around), that does not make one better than the other. You say it's not an issue of respecting someone's view, yet comments like these do make me wonder if you respected the user that wanted to enchant air orbs.
