New users unable to use bbcode for 24 hours New users unable to post links for 72 hours (3 days) + post count of 25 (posts are added to a moderation queue perhaps) New users younger than 72 hours or less than 25 posts only able to post one new topic thread an hour. This still allows the new user to post whatever question they perhaps signed up for to ask and also to make an introductory thread or even to create a post in the market boards. Not sure how possible those modifications are, I know they are not available in vanilla phpbb. This is likely to prevent immediate signup and spamming. Also it acts as a deterrant in that the spammer may not be bothered waiting for days and spending time posting legitamate posts before they are able to post their spam.

Emo is originally from emotional hardcore sub genre of hardcore punk. Emo as a style doesn't stand for anything. Its just plain old emo. Anyone that adds tional to the word is a dunce.

At the worry of taking this thread too off topic i just wanted to butt in to say that emo does NOT stand for emotional. EVERY piece of music is emotional. It stands for emotive hardcore.

Its sad for anyone to lose their children but she has totally fallen off the wagon. In her current state she is a terrible role model and not fit to look after hose children. From what I understand its only a temporary custody so she's still able to clear up her act and sort her life out if she really cares for her children.

Most radio stations only play music from the charts, if you wanna listen to Metallica on those stations then get them to release a decent new single.

People trust the policemen who they see on the beat walking around their town and interacting with the community more than those that don't even live in the down and you hardly ever see. I belive it to be the same with forums. When you have active moderators participating in the community it gets rid of the "us and them" stance thats so ugly on the internet. I know full well the demands of being a volunteer on a large website (admin of the Battlestar Wiki here) there is no need to be rude and put it in bold.

ForsakenMage Pyro RSN Lead Herr darkrick Dusqi Wyrm Few off the top of my head old school mods and admins who had no problem staying active members of the community while as staff. Whats so different about all the new people which means they cannot?

Crew members already work exceptionally hard the way it is. I'm sure a lot of them barely have enough time for their website work, let alone moderating the forum as well. I don't think Merc was saying that it should be mandatory to moderate as a crewbie; I think he was just saying that since they are trustworthy, it would be good if they had moderators powers so in incidents like the keylogger emergencies we would have extra people around to put out the fire. For emergency use only, so to speak. My point exactly. thanks
