If I recall correctly the passwords were still saved as MD5 hash. That means that the passwords needed to undergo a bit of brute forcing to match the hash stored in the phpbb databases with known password hashes. Foor example: banana we know has an md5 hash of 72b302bf297a228a75730123efef7c41 If you have a list of hashes and their equivalent words then it would be easy to reverse the hash into a readable password. Thats why only common/dictionary words appear in the exposed list. If you password was something like B4n@na!95 it would have an md5 hash of bb3ce5da67fc93b11d06e999bda12714 which is unlikely to be in any reverse hash lists and thus unlikely to be brute forced.

Quickest... so no banking. The mine south of Piscatoris Fishing Colony is a good place to power mine iron I suppose... I strongly reccomend doing the Dealing with Scabaras quest to mine Granite though. You can probably get around 49k exp an hour doing granite with an Enchanted Water Tiara. Why wait until 80 mining when its the fastest way? You are only a low Summon level so no Obsidian Golems or Lava Titans for you but you can still use a Desert wyrm (Level 18, lasts 19 minutes, 809 gp on the GE) which gives a +1 invisible mining boost or a Void ravager (Level 34, lasts 27 mins, 4,075 gp on the GE) which gives also gives a +1 visible boost and +1 invisible.

Save your blues until at least level 79 summoning.

It would be quite funny if this event is referred to in a Cold War 2 quest :P

When I returned last Christmas (2007) I had nothing. Someone had gained access to my account while I was retired/quit by convincing Jagex via password recovery they were me (I have now changed my recoveries to be much harder to guess/work out). This meant I started from scratch. I was able to recover by nolifing a little bit but not too bad. I basicly got my fishing and woodcutting to level 99. This got me enough money to get some other skills to 99 including fletching, firemaking and cooking last year also. I now have bandos armour, a santa hat, approx 40m in the bank and now working on 99 summoning, hitpoints and defence. Gonna be an exciting year :D

You can only get small bits of slayer xp without fighting monsters. Swapping points for xp is very expensive and books/lamps are very random, and give low xp. My point thought is that they exist. You also get experience lamps in quests and diaries which amount to several hundred thousands of free exp. If you are going to be elitist about slayer only being able to be trainined in the regular way then u need to ban those other methods too. And it aint gonna happen.

Have you ever cashed in a Slayer point for exp? I know its pointless me asking because you will say you never have even if you have to make a point. But just putting it out there that its another way to get Slayer exp other than killing monsters.

Pfft so the temp banned people in category 2 get to keep their exp :( People in category 2 should be banned from playing the Penguin D&D ever again.

Please hand in all the slayer exp you've ever got from quests, experience lamps, books of knowledge, genies and slayer points. Thank you.

Its funny that a lot of people boo hooing about slayer exp in the minigame arent even RSC players. You have no right to complain about additions making skills easier.

2 whole months without a quest (In Pyre Need doesnt really count)... I was sceptical before but I'm pretty confident now that quest 150 next month is going to be truely epic.

Thats what I was going to post :( All the stuff that's coming this month sounds good.. but where are the quests :( Also we already have a D&D that gives firemaking exp (Phoenix) so thats a little dissapointing, would have preferred to get more farming exp instead of the firemaking (im already 99 fm) Randoms retiring... yey, randoms giving charms as reward... even more yey :D

Where are all the Jagex cache files saved then? I'm pretty sure I deleted them all but if someone could confirm the folder locations i can be sure to get rid of them all and start again.
