If you can weild a light source such as a candle or lantern then whats the incentive to get to a higher level so u can wear a miners helmet?

Depends if they count the overall skill total as a "skill". At the end of the day its an advert, your character doesnt look like the ones in the picture either just like when WoW use machinima to make their own graphics look better. I dont see this as proof of a new skill.

I'm level 127 and ppl dont bother me too much about lending. Just say no or ignore them Meili theres no need to hop servers or hide away. It will die down in a few weeks just like the quick chat spam

Weildable light sources which have a timer (not miners helmet) do not work with the canon (storyline) of runescape. That aside there are technical reasons why its not feasable which I have also explained.

Then I give up trying to explain. I'm sure other people understand my point I do not need to go into more detail.

The point is that you need to collect a light source in order to light up the area. If you had a wieldable light source for everywhere it would cut out a part of the quest.

Those were not the quests i was talking about. Think boots of lightness or haunted mine.

What if the light runs out to 0% while in the wildy and it goes pitch black? "omg jajexx i losted my items in wildy died when light went out give stuff back !!11112oneoen" In certain quests you need a specific kind of light source to go to relevant areas, how would it work when you have a perminant light source which you weild instead?

He's a very high level temple knight (can weild a sheild and 2-hander at the same time). How do you know he doesnt mix the shrimp and crayfish with something else to make a very high healing food?

Well the suggestion i am gonna suggest: involves that you can wield Candle, Lantern, Lamps and so on... It will provide great light wherever you go. ;) What if it goes out and you don't have a tinderbox? And if it "never" goes out how would quests work around this? What about taking a light into lumbridge swamp caves?...

What happens if your light goes out? Or you drop it? Or if you light automaticly how does that work with the canon of Runescape when you need lights for quests?

On some peoples monitors the dark areas in runescape are almost pitch black already. Having a night mode would mean some people wouldnt be able to play RS at all as it would be too dark.

People are making far too big a deal over this. It makes me sad seeing some of the elitist comments coming from people with rares who dont want ppl to think they borrowed them. Geez get over it. Phats, santas and masks were never meant to be these status symbols. Shame on you.

There are already areas of the map which are in perminant darkness such as morytania. I think this would be a bad idea

I always said that there sahould be a rl pics sticky in RS General and one just for Off topic people. By only having it here it was like a magnet for immature kiddies that wouldnt normally think about going to OT :(

Then a second question... how many people are assigned to moderate the queue? Will this be the role of Tipit Crew or only a select few people? Scenario: If I upload a pose and its approved is it logged against a username or account of sorts? So if i decide I want the purple background instead of the wood will I need to wait for it to be approved again before being able to use it. And if its not yet approved what will show in the mean time? i.e Plain background and blank area for pose.

There was no tutorial island in runescape classic... Not from the very beginning no, but it was there by the end. You used to have to get a rowboat from the island to lumbridge after completing it.
