  1. The Dark Beast lair should be next to Underground Pass I think... after all, they're both under the same mountains... Also, the Mogre camp is really next to Thurgo's Dungeon - when you go there the ship on the map stops at the Mudskipper Point. So these two belong in the logical section.
  2. I remember the time when you didn't need a skillcape to be a good player.
  3. I hope I could do it. Most probably I cannot though (duh)
  4. (Four thousand posts, way to go!) I was playing with my lvl-42 pure training mining for Lumby achievement diary. I was in Varrock west mine. Then a lvl-65 guy comes mining. 65: Mining level? Me: 2 :P just started training 65: Lol my 7 :) Me: I'm training for Lumby achievement diary 65: Why do you do diary Me: To get explorer's ring 65: What is it? Me: It's a reward from Lumby diary 65: What does it do? Me: Many things, like restoring your run energy 65: Does it require charging? Me: It charges itself once a day 65: Automatically? Me: Yes 65: Wow cool *lvl-65 guy walks away* Levels =/= Knowledge
  5. I was training firemaking in GE with my 1 def pure (combat 42) for Lumby achievement diary. I see two guys (lvl 18 and 30) talking about holiday items. 18: Do u have this *does easter 2008 cape emote* 30: Nope Me: Well, my main has scarves from Christmas 2005 =P 30: :P 18: Lol noob i know more about runescape than u 18: U don't even have a main Me: Yes I have 18: What's the name Me: Kurinin742 30: Lol not even your character 18: Come with it to ge Me: Ok, add him to your buddylist so you can see him better 30: Lol "buddylist" 18: Noob What's wrong about saying "buddylist"? -.-
  6. I made Kurinin742 in August '05 and I still remember my first week. I killed chickens, buried the bones and sold the feathers to Port Sarim fishing store. I got about 200 gp that way and I bought a steel dagger from Varrock swordshop. I thought it's like the best weapon of RuneScape. And when I got 11 HP I was like "What? You can train HP too?" I also remember making making airs and minds and Fire Striking lessers in Karamja Volcano. I got to about 30-35 mage in F2P that way. And from 43 to 50 in two days was so fun, I bought 5k airs and 2.5k minds in Port Sarim rune store (10 at a time of course) and fire striked lessers under Karamja Volcano. I also got from, like, from 24 to 34 slayer during that single task... That was the day clan chats were introduced. I spent over an hour trying to figure out how to speak in a clan chat etc. So fun, so fun.
  7. But what if the basket's too small? -.-
  8. I have not grinded at all. What I do depends on my mood. I planned about getting 40 farming to do the pirate quests and get an anchor. However, I just happened to get the levels from Tears of Guthix :P This is what usually happens to me :P
  9. [hide=]Image that won't load because I took it out hahahahahhahahahahahahhahahaha okay maybe it wasn't that funny sorry I'm a bit bored and nobody will probably even read this anyway :( :([/hide] Seems to be much more clear without fullscreen... That was what I meant in my last post, with extending. Fullscreen is all nice, but you can manipulate an internet browser to show more ;) Btw I have no idea what this could be... :? It does look like a boat, as mentioned before, but are we sure? It could be something else... Although the map doesn't really suggest a hallway imo. Maybe someone should check out the underground areas of West Ardougne, both the Temple of Light area and especially the old basements of the city. Those basements and the Rat Pits are both old places, and Jagex used to try and place dungeons as correct as possible. Keep up the good work all :) I went there myself, and to me, that looks like a cavern wall, and is most likely the Dark Beast caverns leading up to the Temple of Light. How does it look like a boat? :? It's shaped like a boat. But yes, it most probably is a cave wall.
  10. I have... 84 posts? I expected around 20-30...
  11. Well, I found a post by me on TIF dated August 09, 2007 saying that I found the glitch. So the glitch has been around for nearly 1,5 years at least :P
  12. [hide=][/hide] Seems to be much more clear without fullscreen...
  13. +1 I also prefer over Although it's been a long, long time since dragons were updated - I still hate that update. I will always hate it.
  14. Weird... Have you extended your screen as much as possible? It's fullscreen with max resolution.
  15. That rock graphic has been around since RS1 was opened... Only the colors have changed. Here's the original copper rock for example (it looks like iron, doesn't it?): And another thing that has never changed is the cross which appears when you click. It was the same in RS1.
  16. I saw this in Ardy Rat Pits. Looks like some sort of... ship? :?
  17. When I started in 2005 full addy was worth 40k (right now they're 19k each), and I would never have got enough money for them, but one very nice player sold me both platebody and plateskirt for 17.5k! Players really used to be much more friendly! Also, I remember paying 14k for a rune dagger (my first rune weapon!) and 32k for a rune longsword (back then I used longsword instead of scimmy because it looked much cooler in my opinion :D). I also got to over 50 woodcutting and firemaking with an addy axe, I never had enough money for a rune axe because they were 20k-25k and I burned every single willow I cut  Also, I remember when I did Rune Mysteries 1-2 days after I registered, and it was SO hard... it took me 30 mins to get from Wizards' Tower to Varrock with a map  And another 30 mins finding a guy named 'Aubury', and about 15 mins more to get back to the tower :D The older days were so much better, people were much more mature and such...
  18. Maybe there could also be a minimum drop based on what you or your victim are wearing? It's so damn annoying when I kill other players with my pure and they drop only bones and a half dozen of cakes...
  19. I've been thinking that Jagex could allow re-doing the holiday events (for example, every Easter you could do all previous Easter events). Of course, you could only participate in a certain event if your account was made during or after the event. So, if for example someone created an account in January 2003, they could see the bunny ears that would be dropped during every Easter. But, if your account was created in, say, June 2003 you couldn't. This would be very useful if players missed a holiday event/drop due to time of the drop, broken computer, a break from RS or something, while it would keep holiday items as a symbol of an old account. Crackers, masks, etc. tradable holiday items would not be re-dropped. What would you think of this? (Although my sig says that I started playing RS in August '05, I made several accounts before that but I had no idea of what to do. I also played RSC for a short time in summer '05 while it was still F2P. 13th of August 2005 was the date I created my first account I really played on. I still play on that account. So I'm only a partial RS2 product :P)
  20. Compare the income that Jagex gets with advertising (aka how they pay for having F2P) And then compare it to the income that Jagex gets from membership fees. And then you'll realize why there should and never will be a F2P ONLY item. Here you go. That's a 1:10 ratio. It's not even funny. That pic has to be a fake... there was no members' in 2001 so Jagex couldn't profit from it!
  21. Hmmm? I agree. There could be special capes for special players. Actually, I saw a suggestion on RSOF that every player could get a cape which says his or her registration year on its back. So, if you registered in 2004 you will get a cape with a big "2004" on it etc. Could be called a "Veteran Cape" :P Skillcapes could also be awarded by being very good in mini games or such. But maybe with a different name though. Also, there could be a tower/castle/dungeon with a lot of traps, enemies, puzzles and such with very high skill requirements (80+ all maybe). And the reward would be huge of course, like a spinach roll (this was a joke) or a new cape which is really outstanding (this was not a joke). Anyway... I'm sure that some of these ideas would actually work. One of the best ideas in ages! :)
  22. F2P's? Yesterday I saw a lvl 118 member auto-talking something like: "@@@@@Jagex sucks [wagon]@@@" "@@@Get a life noobs@@@@@@@" "@@@@@@@Runescape sucks@@@@" However, it didn't take me long to reach the "Report Abuse" button :P And today I saw a lvl-50 member in Edgeville yelling: "Suck my" "P" "U" "S" "Y" If they want to swear they should at least spell it right :P Report Abuse button was quick this time too however!
  23. Are they even words? :|
