The End.
RuneScape, (Once) A Massive Multiplayer Adventure Game, created, and killed by JaGeX Ltd. What has it become? A pile of (you know what)!!! Jagex, you kept the game alive nearly seven years. Now, you killed it. Jagex, you guys are sad. You made a series of updates to get rid of Real World Traders. And because of that, you have to get rid of money-making methods too? Probably the best ways to get money were: Merchanting - gone, because of shop improvement and trade changes. Staking - gone, because of Duel Arena changes. Yeeeeeeees, there is tournaments, but you have to be really high level (around 110-126) to win one. Some players have been staking since dueling came out. Now, you killed it. Think a bit, for some players (not me) 5 years of staking and then... the end... -.- Runecrafting, with "slaves" running ess to you - gone, because of trade changes. No one wants to be a slave anymore, because they will get about a half of the cash that they get before... R.I.P. Runescape. 4 Jan 2001 - 2 Jan 2008 Killed by the last stupid update, no "unbalanced" trades. Well, now after those updates, RS is slowly losing players, I guess. And RWT's will get around those updates, if there is no other way, they will sell characters! Well, this is probably the last message that I will ever write on this forum. It was fun as long as it lasted. -Tiigon, EX-user.

Summoning - F2P skill?!?
Well, after reading the third Summoning dev diary I started to believe that summoning will be a f2p skill... Why? Because of this: What do you think about that? -Tiigon

Taxes
Very easy to go around this: When you have over 400K cash you use some of them to buy something that you need. And, well... many players have long breaks from RS... they don't wanna see their account locked, right? You probably guess this... Sorry, but no support.

Help me play RuneScape!
If you have a flash drive, install Sandboxie on it, download Firefox setup and install it to flash drive with Sandboxie. Programs installed and ran with Sandboxie won't affect anything on a computer, and nothing can affect them, I guess. -Tiigon

New prayer list
We have three spellbooks. Why we shouldn't have more prayer books too? (I don't mean those white, red and green books that you can use as a shield) There will be a new mini-game that gives points; with points you can unlock the new prayers - one by one. That mini-game is: The Holy Altar. [hide=The Holy Altar mini-game] Requirements: 35 Prayer, 4 Smithing, 25 Construction, 20 Firemaking. The idea of this mini-game is simple: Build an altar. There is a portal at Monastery (near Edgeville) that teleports you to the waiting room. One game is a maximum of fifteen (15) minutes long. The game will start after five minutes of waiting, or when there is 10 players in the waiting room. Click here for a map When the game starts, players in the waiting room will be teleported to the game area. They must: 1. Take Bronze Bars and a hammer, and then smith the bars into nails. Lvl 4 smithing required. 2. Take logs from the pile and take them to the altar base. 3. Use the logs with the base. Hammer and lvl 25 construction required. After 50 logs are used, the altar is ready. 4. Build four burners near the altar, just like the altar. 10 logs are required for one burner, and also 25 construction. 5. Take a tinderbox and light all the burners. 20 Firemaking required. 6. At least one player must pray at the altar. After that the mini-game is completed. To make it harder, there are some monster spawns. They are lvl 20-120. You cannot kill them, but you can pray to protect against them. If a player dies, he won't get back to the game before waiting one minute. After completing the game, players will get points. One used log = 1 point. Then there's a multiplier: If there were 0-5 minutes of time left, the multiplier is 1. If 5-10 minutes, the multiplier is 2. If there were over 10 minutes left, the multiplier is 4. Example: Player A used 12 logs in the game and there were 7 minutes left at the end of the game. The multiplier is 2. 12*2 = 24 points. Player A gets 24 points from the game. [/hide] [hide=The new prayers!] With the points, you can buy new prayers! There's a button in your prayerlist that shows the new ones that you've bought. The new prayers are: Level 45 - Magic + Ranged Protect - 50% protection from magic and ranged (25% against players) - 300 points Level 50 - Sword of Light - Increased melee damage against undead monsters - 150 points Level 56 - High Agility - Run energy won't drain - 200 points Level 62 - Increased Endurance - Every time you eat food you will get 20% extra HP from it (example: Shark will heal 24 HP) - 250 points Level 68 - Warrior's Blessing - Increases Defence by 25% - 400 points Level 74 - Protect from poison - 50% protection against poison damage - 600 points Level 80 - Burn Body - Your hitpoints will be decrease by five every minute, decreases Defence by 50%, but increases Strenght by 30% - 800 points Level 86 - Archer's Blessing - Increases Ranged by 25% - 1000 points Level 92 - Mystical Powers - Increases Magic by 25% - 1200 points Level 98 - The Final Blow - If you have over 90 prayer points left, you can use this. Instantly drains all your prayer points and decreases your HP to 1, but increases the damage for the next hit for 50% - 2500 points Here is an image of the new prayerlist. I know the icons aren't very good... About the prayers: You can have both prayerlists at once, but can only use one. So if you have one of those new prayer active, you cannot use the old ones before you'll took that new one off.[/hide] -Tiigon

Best exp/hour skill?
Well, you can, but probably not easily... You must be like a 24/7 or so...

Training Food
If you want to buy from a shop, buy premade choc bombs from grand tree - they'll cost 160 each and will heal 15.

The guide for poor men
Is it? I play RS for fun, not for cash. :| Thanks! :D If you think so. You cannot say if you are poor or rich, by just looking at your bank. You are poor even if you have 10mil, but cannot find it fun. But if you have 100K and you're happy 'cause of it, you can be rich. If you get enough cash for dragon chain, you're happy for a short time, but tomorrow you probably aren't so happy anymore. Much better to be poor and play the game for fun. It can be, but if it's easy, it has no fun. -Tiigon

The guide for poor men
Well, that story is... what it... is, hehe. As true as it can be. :

The guide for poor men
This is my second guide. I hope this is better than the first one :) Index. 1. The life of a poor player 2. The basics 3. Good and cheap items 4. Tips for saving money 5. F.A.Q. (no questions before someone asks something.) 6. My story The life of a poor player I'll see someone with a dragon chain. "How can he get enough money to afford that?" I'll think. Then I'll see a guy with dragon legs. "Wow, he must be rich!" I'll check my bank. Full Rune, DDS, Dragon Scimitar. That's nearly all. "Why can't I be rich?" I think. But, sadly, someone is rich and someone is not. I want to finally complete a hard quest. But I don't have enough money for prayer potions. "Should I sell my DDS?" I keep thinking. I cannot believe that someone has millions of cash, while I don't have enough cash for a few prayer potions. But, it's my life. :( The basics I know I'm not the only poor player in RS, and I want to help all the others. If you are poor, you must do anything with much less money than the others. But you can do it, because I can too! :D If you go to a PK and suddenly lose all your items, don't stop playing. It happened to me - once. But I'm still playing. To get enough cash for something (like prayer potions), you must save from something else. You can switch Sharks to Lobsters, Super Sets to normal sets and so on. You must also collect lots of items yourself, like logs, ores and many other materials. Good and cheap items Here is a list of some items, that are good, but won't ruin your economy. Weapons F2P -Rune sword - 20,8K in Champion's Guild, better than you may think. I'll recommend buying this from other players. -Rune Scimitar - 20K-30K from other players. The best F2P weapon. P2P -Super-poisoned Dragon Dagger (DDS) - 45K-50K from other players. A must for a P2P player. -Dragon Mace - 40K from other players, 50K in Heroes' Guild. You need to complete Heroes' to use this, but it's better than you may think, because of three reasons: Accuracy, Prayer bonus and Special Attack, which hits in the mid 20's at lvl 60 strength! -Dragon Longsword & Scimitar - Both 100K. Longsword is good if you cannot complete Monkey Madness, but if you can, use the scimitar. Armour F2P -Full Addy - 30K-40K from other players. Nearly as good as Rune armour, but much cheaper. -Full Rune - 170K-200K from other players. If you have enough cash, buy this. Best F2P armour. P2P -Full Rune - 170K-200K from other players. Most P2P's use this. -Addy boots - 10K from other players. Cheap boots with good defence stats. -Climbing boots - 12 gp from Sherpa in Burthorpe. Very, very cheap boots with +2 Strength bonus. -Recipe for Disaster gloves - price varies. Good stats, and most of them are cheap. -Klank's gauntlets - reward from Underground Pass quest. Free gloves with pretty good bonuses. If you lose them go to the Dwarf you got them from, he's in the Underground Pass. -Rune Defender - You can get it for free! In fact, you cannot pay for it. Recommended to get, good attack and defence stats. -Helm of Neitiznot - reward from Fremennik isles quest. Very good stats. Food and potions F2P -Lobsters - of course! Nearly every F2P's choice. I'll recommend fishing them instead of buying. -Salmons and trouts - You can fish them really fast, and Salmons are not bad food at all. Trouts, eh, are not very good. -Strength potions - the only F2P potions. If you have 5 gp, a limpwurt root and red spider's eggs, ask the Apothecary in Varrock for them. They will cost about 1K when bought from other players. P2P -Lobsters - described above. -Potatoes with cheese - only 9 gp in Warriors' Guild! They will heal 16 HP each. Use them, if you can access the guild! -Karambwans, after completing Tai Bwo Wannai Trio quest, you can buy them for 100 gp each in the Tai Bwo Wannai village. They are raw, but you need only 30 cooking to cook them (Remember to cook them throughly, or they will poison you!). You will burn them a lot (even at 60 cooking), but they will heal 18 HP each. If you have 65 fishing, you can fish them yourself. -Normal potion sets - You can buy them at a cheap price in Warriors' Guild, under 200 gp per set I think. While they are not as good as super sets, they will still help you. -Prayer potions - Awww. These are your nightmare. You will need them in higher-level quests, but they are expensive. Don't buy them often, I'll recommend training Herblore to 38 and Slayer to 15, killing Banshees for Ranarrs and making your own potions. Misc. items -Willow logs - Good for fletching training. Fletch them into (u) bows, and you can sell them for 40 gp each at Seers' Village, while the logs are only 30 gp each! Not a very good profit, but you will also get experience. Tips for saving money -Buy materials (logs, ores etc.) from autoers, because they will usually sell for lower price (odd, but true). -Clean your bank often and sell the junk items. I sold once lots of junk to general store and got 17K cash. Not much, but it's from junk items. -Use "cheap" training and fighting spots. For example, the blue dragon at Heroes' Guild is good if you have 43 prayer; take full Initiate, Proselyte or Monk Robes (don't forget your anti-dragon shield!) and pray at the altar upstairs after every dragon. Fill your inventory with lobsters, because Protect from Melee will not protect you from dragonfire, and anti-dragon shield is not enough for full protect. -Make your own arrows and maybe runes too. You will save lots of cash. -Collect all items you can collect yourself to save money. F.A.Q. Ask if you want to. My story I created my main account, Kurinin742, on 13th August 2005. When I was lvl-9, I found 26K cash on ground and I was very happy. I bought some items with that cash and started training my character. I completed many F2P quests, and finally in May 2006, I completed Dragon Slayer at only lvl-47 - with anti-dragon shield as my only armour. Well, I had some misc. items like steel med helm, but aren't really armour, lol. After that, I went to PK with my friends (I had full Addy and rune scimmy), and they killed me! I lost all my items. It was hard time. I was sure that I can do a "comeback". In November 2006 I became a member with Steel Dagger as my most expensive item. I was only lvl-56. I started playing Pest Control with the Steel Dagger. I completed Lost City. I was at 41 attack and I wanted a Dragon Weapon. I collected cash and bought Dragon Long, while I was still at lvl 41 attack. I started training at Pest Control with poisoned Bone Dagger (lol!). I got money and bought a Rune Sword, trained more, and bought a Rune Scimitar and Full addy. I trained and trained, and at lvl 59 attack, I killed some moss giants and White knights. And finally I was able to use Dragon Longsword! After that, I merchanted one day, and after that day, I had Full Rune and Dragon Longsword. I completed some higher-level P2P quests in the summer 2007, like Underground Pass and Monkey Madness. With only 50 Lobsters, a few self-made antipoisons and energy potions and two prayer potions I completed Monkey Madness quest. Now I'm lvl-77 with 68 strength and pretty good total level. Now I'm becoming a member again, and I'll perhaps train my Hunter to 70. RuneScape for the win!!! End of the guide -Tiigon

~~#~~Ray Skiller's Goal To........~~#~~
1. Yews are too expensive, Maples are too hard to buy... Willows, Willows and even more Willows. 2. Willows are probably the best xp to lvl 99. At lvl 90, if you have a dragon axe, you can use that to chop Maples, but... Willows are still best choice. 3. Fly-fishing is fastest way from lv 20 to 99, if you are not a member or don't have 70 fishing (for Barbarian Heavy-Rod Fishing). Good luck to your skilling. -Tiigon

Unbeaten's guide to holding to flag in cwars! Update: 30/12
Hmm... a very, very good guide. Castle Wars is a simple minigame, but it's not easy. Thanks for this guide! -Tiigon

a new weapons addition would be good.
If JaGeX makes a weapon called "Dual Daggers", that are twice as powerful as normal daggers? Of course u can't use spec or poison them, would be too much 8-)

this a bug?
Guess what i saw... i trained my hunter at chinchompas and then used the fairy ring. But, then i saw that a chinchompa came to Zanaris! Pretty odd. -Tiigon

YOU CAN HELP BRING BACK THE GAME THAT WE ALL LOVE
JaGeX closed RSC because of autoers. Hey, who cares if there are autoers? Only JaGeX cares. Because of #̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâä&@$?!? autoers and more #̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâä&@$?!? JaGeX RSC is now closed. And those economical reasons... there are now 2 RSC servers. How much it costs to open those two servers to anyone? NOTHING!!! So, why is RSC closed, because there are no good reasons? -Tiigon

Cyclopes killing guide (with pics)
Please note: this guide covers only the cyclopes in Warriors' Guild, not the one in Ardougne Zoo. Everyone knows Cyclopes. But how to maximize the fun and minimize the time needed? If you wanna know, read more. Index 1. How to get there 2. Requirements and equipment 3. Tokens 4. Cyclopes How to get there Here are the best ways to get to Warriors' Guild. Green: Teleport to Game Rooms with Games necklace. *recommended* Yellow: Teleport to Camelot and walk from there. *not recommended* Red: Teleport to Falador and walk from there. *recommended if you don't have games necklace* Blue: After Another Slice of H.A.M. quest, you can buy a Goblin Village teleport sphere. *recommended if you don't have games necklace* Requirements and equipment First, make sure your Attack + Strenght is at least 130. This is the requirement to get to Warriors' Guild. I'll also recommend you have a defence level of 30-40 before you try to kill Cyclopes. This is the equipment I'll use when I'll killing Cyclopes. You can also try other items, here is some ideas: PLEASE NOTE: YOU CAN ONLY KILL CYCLOPES WITH MELEE! 1: Helmet. I'll use Berserker helmet, but Rune and Dragon helms, Helmet of Neitiznot, and Warrior helm are also very good choices. 2: Cape. Take the best cape you have. 3: Amulet. Take fury, glory, power or strenght amulet. They are all good choices. 4: Weapon. Good choices are (from best to worst): Abyssal Whip, Dragon Scimitar, Poisoned Dragon Dagger, Dragon Battleaxe, Dragon Longsword, Rune Scimitar. DON'T TAKE A RANGE OR MAGE WEAPON! 5: Shield. Take Dragon or Rune shield, Obsidian shield, or a defender. 6: Armor. Any armor with good melee defence stats is good. 7: Gloves. Take the best gloves you have. 8: Boots. Take the best boots you have. (Near the guild, there is a sherpa who sells climbing boots only 12 gp each. They will give +2 Strenght bonus.) Now, for the inventory: And what are these items for: White: Money, if you need more food or potions. Red: Mithril armor, if you need more tokens. (explained below) (You can take any armor, but mithril is probably the best.) Green: Warriors' Guild tokens, very important. You need 100+ tokens to fight Cyclopes and every minute you'll lose 10 tokens. I'll take about 200-300 when I'll fight Cyclopes. Blue: If you want, you can buy normal pot set from potion shop on ground floor for under 200 gp ea. They are not needed, but will help you a lot :D Yellow: Food. You can buy potatoes with cheese for 9 gp ea from food shop on ground floor, and they will heal 16 hp each. Tokens Now you need some tokens. Fastest way to get them is Animator Room. You need platebody, platelegs and full helm made from same metal. I'll always use mithril. If you want, you can use addy or rune, but rune might be hard to kill fast enough. Armors below black are not recommended, because they will break too often. When you have an armor, use one part with the animator. (red circles) After a few seconds, an animated armor will appear! Kill it with same items you will use at the cyclopes. Armors aren't too hard to kill. After you have killed the armor, you will get some tokens (better armors will give more tokens) and your armor back. When you have about 200, you are ready to kill Cyclopes! Cyclopes And now the main thing in this guide... the Cyclopes. They are on 2nd floor. There are two different types of Cyclopes; some level 56 Cyclopes, and some level 76 Cyclopes. Level 76 Cyclopes will of course give good items more often. If you have a defender, show it to Kamfreena before you start killing Cyclopes. Now, open the door and start killing! Sometimes you may get a defender from Cyclopes. It's a defending weapon, and it's very useful. When you get a defender, show it to Kamfreena before you kill more Cyclopes. Cyclopes also drop some good items like lvl-3 clue scrolls, Dragon spears, Shield left halves, Half keys, and lots of Black knives, that are really good for range training. Happy killing! -Tiigon

Tanglefoot
Lol thats really easy... I did it at lvl 65 with full rune, and I didn't use prayers and ate no food in the match... \ -Tiigon

Burning Salmon and Trout
Also, if you make a fire and cook food on it, you will burn food less often if you have high firemaking lvl. 8-)
