  1. I just don't understand why the rewards are so out of sync price from the required levels. It's impossible to have enough tokens to buy a reward at the level it says you can use it at. What is the point? Why not make the level requirement at a point where you could theoretically purchase the item.
  2. You duel someone with obstacles enabled, usually there is someone who is willing to do it for you. If you need someone add me in game and I'll come help you out.
  3. No that's not right. As they stated monster specific rare items are NOT on the rare drop table that is effected by the ring of wealth. That means the maroon colored sections of your rare drop should actually be a very thin section on the main wheel. And drops with charms are not part of that wheel at all. Charm drops are completely seperate, so everytime you make a kill one wheel spins to determine the charm drop (which color or if you get a drop at all) and another wheel spins to determine the drop, these wheels have no effect on each other. If your item drop (non charm) wheel lands on the 'rare' then it goes to the second wheel which contains rare items shared by almost all monsters (gems, key halves, d spears) if it goes to this rare drop wheel then it is already determined the drop will NOT be something like a whip or brine saber (as your two examples in the picture.)
  4. She needs to give you the task. I had gargoyles from lapalok and couldn't kill em in the dungeon.
  5. Thinking about it more they should make the f2p world only recognise f2p skills so ex members won't have an advantage.
  6. That's not true. There are way more low level players with 1K total than there are players with exp higher than 20M, or even 25M. In other words, I agree with you about the purpose of these worlds, but not the absurd requirement that makes next to no sense. You may be right in it being an "absurd" requirement for f2p but it's woefully inadequate in p2p. I wouldn't be opposed to a total exp requirement but not if it leads to people with 20 mil exp in one skill and lvl 1 everything else. I think these worlds should be for more well rounded players (not necessarily combat, skillers are fine.)
  7. I don't think it's high enough myself. The point is to get rid of the immature player, basically they want the people who have been playing a long time to have a place to go. I love the idea of these worlds, ideally they mean a place where we don't have low lvl people annoying the high level people. A place where nobody is complaining about not having access to things above their level. By complaining about not having access you validate the reason for their existence.
  8. If you start thinking of quitting when you lose some gp you should probably just quit. Obviously you have some priority problems, it's a game. You shouldn't have been risking it if you couldn't play the game after losing it. If I lost everything in my bank I wouldn't be happy but I also wouldn't get on the tip.it forums and ask everyone if I should quit the game. I would probably just try and work my way back up. If you had it then you have the means to get it again, be it monster hunting or skilling.
  9. only 113 days 1 hour for me I thought it would be much more than that considering I started playing the week rs2 came out.
  10. It's a combination of things causing the problem. PVP artifacts giving large cash influxes are a big source of inflation. GE caps create the problem where you can't pay enough coins to buy things. The objects are worth more (or sometimes less) then the system lets you pay. I don't see the need for caps, they don't stop real world trading the GE is anonymous you can't choose who you buy or sell to. Why can't you set a price and when someone offers that price or more it sells to them for the price you put. Getting rid of caps would mean that we could pay what the price should be, it won't fix the inflation but I would imagine it would make everything more stable.
  11. The cost of melee is food. For range you are paying for the ability to attack from a distance. I'm a ranger (99) and I think unlimited ammo would be stupid. By your logic an ancient staff that provided all the necesary runes wouldn't be overpowered.
  12. As cool as it would be to have updated quests like that, I would be pretty unhappy about it until they let us replay quests.
  13. I feel bad for people that need to justify their own immaturity by saying they have autism. Autism wouldn't cause somebody to act like an idiot. Whether they have autism or not it's no excuse to act stupid, I know a couple people with autism (high functioning) and though they have trouble acting "correctly" in social situations their online interaction is almost entirely normal. They also would never act like an idiot and say "it's OK I have autism." I havn't seen this kind of response on runescape but they deserve criticism whether they are telling the truth or not. If they do have autism wouldn't you think they would want to increase acceptance of their disease instead of pissing people off? Every autistic person I know works hard to act socially acceptable and if they do something wrong and you tell them flat out they will work on fixing that, they won't say "I have autism" and continue with the inappropriate behaviour.
  14. theres a lotta drugs that do that, name cocain and acid but yeah. think about mario, guy eats a mushroom and doubles in size? thats his overload pot lol LK1 Actually the drug he was thinking of was PCP sometimes known as Angel Dust. Cocaine and Acid don't do that at all. Mario's mushrooms seem to be based on psilosybin mushrooms mixed with pcp. And the overload pot would be better correlated to the super star in the mario world, temporary effects that make you super strong and hard to kill.
  15. Worst did you know ever. It had nothing to do with the game.
  16. It's not the runescape model, it's more of a micropayment system. You don't play a free version and switch to an upgraded pay version. Instead everyone plays the same version and if you want something else like to play as a different race or to do a certain quest you pay for that specific thing.
  17. To which slot would you put them into? * We already have smithable armour up to level 99. This means that either you'd smith 2 metals "at once", you'd need to cut down the older requirements or we would be able to go past lvl 99. The 1st example is in my eyes quite ridicilous: I don't like the idea of being able to do 2 similar (not stat, but usage wise) things side by side. For the second, I'd say no again. If these armours were f2p too, they couldn't be too great stat wise. If they were p2p, f2p smithing would basically die as after X level there wouldn't be anything new to get. The scenario 3 is in my eyes impossible: it would mean a change in one of the prime factors of the game and would force Jagex to update other skills too. * The armours would need to be either f2p or totally overpowered. In p2p there are armours that are relatively cheap but a lot more effective than smithables could be: new armours would mainly be there for the looks and that's it. Sounds pointless. In f2p the armours would either need to be close to the runite armours or it would just kill the runite markets: same requirements to make but higher stats would just mean that those would be produced in masses for pkers. I'd personally like to see more updates like DFS: you need a certain smithing level to compile two things together. If this was helpful enough and unassistable, it would give a boost for the smithing markets. The problem is, however, that many things are already there: it would need to be stronger than the sigil shields/dfs, godswords or certain armour to be worth doing some smithing. This leads into 2 situations: it would need to be really strong and yet common enough to boost the smithing markets. If it was as rare as visage for example, really few people would actually train smithing to be able to do it. If it was common enough to be worth hunting, its affect would cause panic at the other markets: who for example would invest 80-110m (depends where it currently stabilizes) on an Armadyl godsword when you could get a better thing for the same price? Those problems forced me to think for alternatives. The main idea came from skilling. If we could create things to help our skilling, it would be worth it to train mining and smithing. Lets say you could do something similar to brawlers with something you've mined and smithed, it would be worth it to train those skills. Of course the boosts couldn't be too high or it would affect negatively on certain minigames, pvp and raw material markets. But lets say, you could smith a hammer that gives 5-10% more xp per bar and lasts for certain amount of xp, it would be worth it. Same goes with other skills: a metal box to carry pure essences, sharper harpoon, a trim to your pickaxe/hatchet and so on. It would boost training of those skills, make mining&smithing worth doing and would be a reason to first train to higher levels and then help you at higher levels. First let's talk combat: You talk about how the item needs to be worth using (high level) but not something that will mess up the current market of high level items (godswords). Why not make something that breaks with time, like barrows, or maybe even randomly like the hand cannon (heck incorporate skill levels towards this). These items could be much better than rune but less than the current elite. The stat's could even degrade as well like the crystal bow/shield. The price won't be insanely high but it could be high enough that it would be profitable for the smither. We could even incorporate new ore's to make the degradeable armor. Skilling Equipment: I like the idea of smithable skilling items but I think a basic exp. increase is too boring. They should do other things that would help the skill. Instead of a hammer that gives you more exp. why not a tool that lets you build a few of the new degradable armor. I can't think of what these skill items would be now but as long as they added interesting content that would be beneficial throughout the game they would be cool. I think both directions could also go the same way as the herblore update, with certain high level options non-tradable. Not everything but some items thrown in as untradeable would be a nice way to encourage people to train the skill themselves (probably with the older methods that are more time efficient but less rewarding). Any way it works out the new items don't need to provide a more efficient training method they just need to give us something that would be worthwhile to make, that way the market won't be completely flooded with them making the resale market of them too low.
  18. Requirement for imbued rings is getting a high rank in the mini-game. How is that any different than training a skill? You can't just go in there and buy a ring, you need to "train" your MA "skill" to the required "level." For some reason you fail to see how playing the minigame is the same thing as playing the main game, in both cases you do something a bunch of times in order to get access to more things. And even though it's cheaper than training herblore you still have to spend money (in the form of junk). And what about RFD gloves do you think they should be allowed in PVP environments? They are even more so like the pots because you actually have to train the "real" skills that you are so obsessed about in order to do the quest. And the argument that you risk the gloves won't work either because they are relatively cheap and once you get your Quest level high enough (by beating the quest) they are just as easy to get as making a pot would be once you get the herblore level (arguably easier than making new pots)
  19. It happens man, especially when somebody is being so hypocritical they have someone who doesn't even post (me) stop lurking and start participating. Your argument was better written than mine anyways, but they say about the same thing.
  20. Can we save the "You're stupid for not getting 99 herblore" and "You're a loser not to be able to buy a GS" etc for the RSOF? It wasn't aimed at you lol (at the one above you). It was just to show the flawed logic: why should high level weaponry be more "compulsory" than high level skills when combatting? - isn't runescape based around skills? BTW I updated my post with a suggestion about how I think it would be fair.. No. Runescape combat is not based around your skills. It is based upon your combat level. You really are stupid. I didn't say people were stupid because they didn't have a level. I said they were stupid because they didn't take advantage of their level. Requirements to wear imbued rings-None If you choose not to use these rings it is your fault. You do not need any stats to use them or acquire them. They are available to every player regardless of their combat/non-combat skills. Extreme potions on the other hand are not available to every player and do require a specific level to use. You have got to stop calling people stupid it's insulting and uncalled for. And as for no requirements to wear the rings you are WRONG, there are requirements, you need to have a high level in mobilising armies, something that, even if you are good, takes a long time to get. Your argument can be applied to herblore equally, as everyone can do herblore (after a short and really easy quest). So by your own argument there is no requirement to use potions as the skill is open to anyone.
  21. I don't PK often and my herblore isn't high enough by any means for me to be even close to making any of these pots, and I think taking them from PVP was ridiculous. It's the exact same thing as needing a quest for an item, such as barrows gloves or dragon weapons. It's also like the imbued rings. You have to get your levels up and put in the time and effort in order to purchase (in this case make) the items you want to use. As for the argument that with barrows gloves and rings etc. that you are risking those items so it's different, that's absurd it's the same thing here. These pots have an over 10k value each (I would think) and you risk losing the extra doses, and while not as pricey as losing a barrows glove or a d scimmy you don't have to do those quests over again to get a new one. They are one time things just like raising your level (in fact to get those quests done you need to raise non combat skills). The only reason people are whining is because they are too lazy to get there levels up, the only way this should ever be considered a combat skill (absurd) is if you also counted QP as a combat skill. Given that they would probably get rid of a lot of complaining if (when) they incorporate lower level untradeable potions. Or make these untradeable potions rare drops from some new monster (but it would have to be really rare), but it would probably be a high level slayer monster and that would then mean that slayer would need to be added to the combat level to appease the lazy people. Personally I think they will make lower level untradeable potions and also start making untradeable stuff from other skills too, at least I hope they do.
  22. If you take two doses of overdose does it kill you or does it stop at 1 hp?
  23. This isn't a feature I have been waiting for, and I plan on keeping my name the same, but it seems like a good feature to have. I know a lot of people who hate their name and want to change it. It will be nice to have my login based on my email I guess.
  24. I get this all the time especially when I'm wearing my phat or something else that's expensive. I don't know how I made money it just accumulated over 5+ years of playing the game. I'm 115 right now, kind of a high lvl I guess, and many times lower lvl players will be very rude to me so I choose to not talk to them most of the time. I'm not using a bot I just don't want to answer you when you ask where I trained range to 99 because I didn't train it all in one place it was wherever I felt like being that day. That said I have met lots of low lvl people that are cool, and I keep my private chat set to on almost all the time. I also try and help people out when they ask for help, it's just sometimes people can get annoying as all hell.
  25. I agree with you on all counts especially the withdraw-x I loved that FEATURE.
