In PvP I do a lot of gear swapping between Veracs and Ahrims. When hybriding, I like to use Verac top and Ahrim bottom. It gives me just enough mele def to go toe to toe but still be able to barrage around my foe's protect from mele spells. :lol:

My first clan was an RSB clan, but they also had an off-site forum. They were pretty organized, but HORRIBLE in clan wars. My second clan was a fairly successful RSB 110+ clan that I created and ran (but I disbanded because running a large clan was more work than I was willing to do over time). We never lost a clan war, a castle war, or a fight pit trip. :P

unless you mined those pure essense or got them as a drop it didnt cost you a thing You are correct. I've never bought ess. I've "always" mined it (along with a few drops here and there :P). With the ess pouches and pack familiars, it's even faster now. I'm patient enough to mine my own ess.

I glance at my total level every now and then, but for me its all about the individual skill levels and what they allow me to do in-game. Thats the win for me.

I leveled my mage from 94-99 at the Alchamist Playground at mage training arena. Not only is it faster than alching (alching plus bonus xp for gp points), but the ONLY expense are nats. I crafted my own, so for me it didn't cost me a thing. :)

When I'm in-game, I always assume that I can die, unless it's a "safe" mini-game. I realize that no one likes to die and lose their stuff. But I combat that by assuming that I will, and preparing for that, be it with limiting my gear so that my best gear is the 3 I keep upon dying, to making sure that I can somewhat easily replace whatever I'm walking around with, even on quests. When I died in the final boss battle set in RFD, I lost a couple of Ahrims pieces (back when they were still worth a lot). I made sure that I had back up gear and I got right back in there and beat that boss. :D

I'm 43, and my son (who has an RS account) is 16. :)

When I first started, I didn't focus on making money as much as being self-sufficient. I had thought that if I could level my mining and smithing high enough to make my own rune armor and weapons, then I wouldnt need to buy any fighting gear. You can see by my mining and smithing levels that I realized at some point that Rune gear wasnt the best out there and I gave up on my goal of not having to buy anything. lol (Note: I'm talking about RS2, not classic.)

I fish and cook monks and sell them on the GE. It actually makes me money! :) Its fairly quick because fishing monks is almost as fast as fishing lobs.

Ye, until I decided to get my slayer lvl up, I did a LOT of training there (I lvled my 97 def there). I also made a few mil selling rune scims and daggers drops. \

Congrats on 99 def. I'll be there with you soon. But for me, it'll be my 4th skill cape. :P

I hate PKing, and even "I" know that this was a boneheaded update. Jagex is so focused on their evangelistic crusade against RWTers, that they are cutting their/our own throats in the process.

I guess ppl gave you bad ratings for lvl 70 because it's not an end goal, but a beginning. Though lvl 70 seems 3/4ths of a way to 99, it's actually not. It's only around 35% of the way. Congrats on 70, though. I just thought that I'd offer a little perspective.

You have some good mental advice in this guide.

The problem is because the clan chat name is the line identifier in the dialogue/chat window. If they would use a different line identifier (maybe an asterisks?) instead of the clan name, the character limit would be less restrictive.

I don't know if this was mentioned before, but make that sure your Java plug-in is up to date. I had a lot of problems with running RS, major slow downs, etc. So, I went to Sun's official Java download site and updated to the current version. It's worked great since. RS is compiled in Java, and the plug-in is what runs it in your browser.

When I melee in CW, I wear rune plate with d plate legs. I'm always getting ppl laughing at my rune plate body. If those same ppl move to the other team, they ring up zeros attacking me. I just laugh and laugh and laugh as I kill them. Funny stuff. :)

What is that supposed to mean? Idiot. A skill cape is a skill cape, none of them are any more "real" than the others. Wow. You have some serious issues. Didn't you see the "tongue in cheek" icon? I was OBVIOUSLY kidding. It looks I'm not the idiot here. At least I know when someone is not serious.
