I have a feeling this is going to end badly. I wonder what will happen if there is a huge violent crackdown on the protesters? Would other countries intervene?

Went driving with my mom, who hasn't driven with me even though I've been driving for over a year. She almost had a heart attack, even though I was driving perfectly fine, and even below the speed limit so she wouldn't freak out as much. Watched the news about Iran for a few hours, and yeah.

I dream lucidly almost 90% of the time, so most of my dreams are cool. But my first scary dream I remember was I was in my house playing with toys of some sort (This was when I was 6) but it turned out there was a nest of cheetahs living in my play bin, and they started chasing me all over the house, then I tried to run to my room which was safe because it had a luck, but a giant bear that was blue got in my way. That's all I remember, haha.

Depends on the situation. For close range, the brick or knife, the bat would be good in most situations until it broke, and the shovel would be good if you had room to maneuver. The shovel would be more likely to break than a bat, I think, seeing as the handle is very thin compared to the bat. Unless it's made out of metal. The brick would be best if there was only 1 zombie, since it could do the most damage, but you would need to be pretty close. If there were a few zombies you'd be screwed. The knife would be the one I'd pick.

Barring taking heavy machinery and burying them, not really. But, the gas wouldn't kill us, it just might cause some issues. But still it would be best to get rid of. I don't remember if I said this before, the place is about a mile from the biggest part of the city. It's really close to the suburbs. That's the only bad part about it, really.
-
I'd imagine a well would be viable, it's about a mile from a lake and not on much higher ground. To be honest though, I'm not 100% sure the walls are concrete. I know they're there, but they might just be chainlink. I haven't been there for like 4 years so I don't remember. But hey, even if it's chainlink, we could literally pile sawchips behind the fence to reinforce it, and the building itself would be pretty much impenetrable. Coordinates, the latitude is 44°29'33.81"N and longitude is 73°12'31.64"W

It's hard to see how much wood there is there from a 2d google earth picture, but all the woodchips wouldn't fit in the main building even if every room was filled to the ceilings. It would actually be in our best interests to use the woodchips as the would usually and power the city for as long as we could. It would allow more people in the city to survive, but more importantly for us, the woodchips rotting lets off a gas that is pretty bad for you. Also, the woodchips are stored fine for their purposes, since they go through them all before they rot.

Ok, so I google-earthed the power plant, and labeled it for easier viewing. And guys, this is a biomass plant, powered by woodchips. The woodchips will rot after maybe 6 months max, meaning no more fuel from them. So we wouldn't have energy for the entire zombie apocalypse. But, we would still have 400 thousand gallons of fuel for energy, which would last a pretty damn long time. Another nice thing about this place is there's a observation level on the smoke stack from the furnace, which is about 12 stories up, which has a view of the entire area, since it towers above the rest of the plant. Sniper or guard position for sure. And finally, there are three doors that I know of, one is a giant steel garage thing, and the others are steel as well, in case any zombies breached the perimeter. Inside the building it is pretty spacious except in the entrance room, there is a control room, then all the machinery and the reactor. There is a huge amount of empty space inside the rooms where the reactor is, and there would be tons of space for people EDIT: For reference, the walled in area is about 750 feet by 1200 feet.

Ok, a 10 foot wall is really all that's needed. 12 at most. And there is no way in hell a 12 foot wall could trap me. If we really wanted, we could put ramps up to the top of the wall made out of wood or metal, or a ladders, from the inside. And oil pits? That's ridiculous. Unless we happen to have over a million gallons of oil, we're not gonna be able to sustain that. Speaking of having tons of oil, I found a good spot to stay in my area. Ok, so it's a power plant. It runs on wood-chips. At all times, at the facility there is enough wood to power the entire city (of like 60000 people) for 4 monthsish. Plus there is a reserve tank of 400,000 gallons of oil. Surrounding the facility is a 10 foot concrete wall, with barbed wire at the top, with a metal gate. Even if we didn't use the woodchips for electricity due to lack of knowledge on how to run the plant, we could still use them for heat. Also, it's conveniently located in the center of a giant agricultural complex. So the soils good, and there are pre-existing crops growing all around it. Did I just win?

Explosives guys, in theory great, in practice not so great. Making high explosives is dangerous. We will eventually mess up and blow our hands or faces off when we're making it. You want to know what works as well as a pit? A wall. Want to know what's better than explosives for killing zombies? Bullets.
-
Nope, they don't even specifically want brains. Ok for the perfect setup, [bleep] you guys. Screw the elaborate traps and pitfalls On the right side is the perfect setup. Complete with a check-mark of approval.

Ridiculous. There was some study/calculation some law professor did that, if every bit of copyright infringement law was enforced perfectly (as in every offense was prosecuted, etc.) he would have had to pay several million dollars by the end of the day, even though he did nothing like p2p file sharing. I'd find a link, but I have no idea what it was called. Anyhow, 88 grand per song is ridiculously excessive. In most states the maximum punishment for a misdemeanor crime is 1000$ and 1 year in jail. This isn't theft, which is why because, to quote "Theft/larceny is typically defined as the taking of almost anything of value without the consent of the owner, with the intent to permanently deprive him or her of the value of the property taken." Downloading a song isn't "permanently depriving him or her of the value of the property taken", so it's not theft. Thus it's copyright infringement where the law are a [cabbage]load heavier, and way more ridiculous.

It would work, but not as well as say, a hammer. With a wrench, the point of impact is a lot more spread out, meaning less force gets put onto the skull in any specific place, meaning you need to put more energy behind it to crack the skull. With a hammer, or crowbar, the point of impact is fairly small (the like 1.5/1" hammer head, or the tip of the crowbar), meaning more force is being applied to the area where the weapon hits.

Here's my new version of reincarnation: You don't remember your past lives while you are alive. After you die, you go into limbo, but you can see the whole world, and are pretty much omniscient, so you can see what happened to your loved ones, and so on. When you wish, you can be reincarnated. Your basic personality stays the same throughout your lives, but it can obviously be affected by outside sources. There would be no god, or ruler of the universe. Not that I believe in that, but that would be cool.
-
I'd like to think reincarnation, but you wouldn't know about your past self, otherwise everyone would remember their past lives, so it's not like it would be any different then what life is now. We could all be reincarnated and not know it. But, I have to say nothingness. All we are is flesh and bones, with nothing more behind it, so nothing would "go on" to be reincarnated or whatever.

I know how to use a chainsaw well, there's not much chance of me injuring myself with it, and none of the other things were designed to be used as weapons. I wouldn't use it unless absolutely necessary, but it's also useful some other stuff I would have to do to ensure my safety based on my house. And the fence thing isn't mechanized, it's just a really sharp metal rod about 4 feet long. It might not ever be for fences, but whatever it is, it would be deadly.
-
Wow. This whole zombie thing has [bleep]ed me up. I was in my garage, about to help my mom with something outside, and I specifically thinking about which things I could use in case of zombies. I found a lot. In my garage alone I found 3 axes 2 titanium crowbars 1 chainsaw (Yeah, I know, not a good weapon. But if I have gas, and other weapons, it's always a possibility 1 really sharp metal spear like thing, designed for making holes for fence posts 1 sledgehammer 1 machete Well I think I'm set for melee weapons.

I know you said pm, but I'm responding to your post anyway, so shoot me a link, I'd like to see it. Anyhow, your questions. 1: Killing a living human for no reason, I wouldn't do. Killing a zombie or a bandit I could do. 2: Probably not. For anyone with problems with blood, the fact that zombies blood isn't like human blood in color, texture, etc. might help. 3: There's always that chance. 4: Depends on the situation. For a very long term situation, I wouldn't want a tiny group. In general though, yea. 5: We'll find out. I could do it if I needed. 6: If necessary. 7: If I needed to. I have some leather soled shoes that are quieter than bare feet, and a lot easier to move in, so I'd use those. 8: Already covered in 4 9: I probably shoot him in the face. 10: I don't know. Unless I needed a place to stay, I'd probably leave them be if it put me at a risk. And for rape? I shoot them or kill them. It's not like they're stealing food to survive, and it would come out in some other way which would hurt the team. They don't deserve to live.

Killing anyone running at you in a straight line is easy with the ambassador. Or even the regular revolver. That's true, but I'm pretty good with the ambassador in general. I wouldn't bet on me against say, a heavy in 1v1 with me as a spy, but pretty much everything else other than a scout I can usually beat 1 on 1. But of course it depends on how good the other person is.
-
I'm pretty good as a spy 1v1, just because I'm pretty good at pulling off headshots. Killing a pyro running at you is so satisfying, as they're pretty much the anti spy class.

? yeeeeeeeah.

Was just gonna say that.

They don't need to breathe, so they can walk underwater. But if the lake had a current they would probably drift with that current. An island like that would be great for a short term, it would protect you from zombies for the most part, unless one managed to get onto the island, which would happen eventually no doubt, but there wouldn't be hundreds of zombies attacking you. But, unless there are a lot of fish in the lake you couldn't stay there forever, unless you could manage to grow enough food on the island. But if you could get enough supplies to last you a few weeks or months onto the island. It's a good place, I'd guess since it's a mile offshore. Not a permanent hideaway in all likelihood, but it would be useful nonetheless.

Let's not get too dramatic :P It's only flu really, it has a lower mortality rate than normal flu (at least it was when I last heard) and British scientists are getting close to being able to create an actual vaccine for it. The real threat to us is man-flu. Now that's dangerous :ohnoes: The mortality rate at this point is 1/200, I think. I'm pretty sure that's greater than normal flu's mortality rate.

You're referring to gangster rap. Rap as a whole is not like that. Or hip-hop, they're pretty much the same thing. I don't like most hip-hop, but there is some good stuff. Look at bands like flobots, for example.
