  1. Sorry for a double post, but how big is each square on the map, like a mile? a hundred feet? I think that's all that's missing information wise for the map.
  2. With a thump, my body hit the ground. I let out a muffled cry; a rock had sliced open the inside of my leg. Pain was a familiar sensation for me, and the sight of blood was all too common. I lifted myself off the ground, and looked up at the point I had fallen from. It was a good 10 feet off the ground, but all that was left of whatever it was that had brought me there was a rapidly fading light. I looked back down at myself, I was as I had been before, with a few things missing. My torn clothes were ragged as always, and all that was missing was the pistol that had been in its holster at my side. It did not worry me, I didn't know where I was or what had happened, but it was peaceful, for once. Was this the afterlife? I had to have died. There was no other way to explain it. I could barely remember what had happened... before this. I put it out of my mind for the moment, and evaluated my surroundings. There was water near me, crystal clear. That was something new; it was the first clean water I had seen in years. I walked the 20 feet to the water, looked into the water and saw the reflection of a girl I didn't recognize looking back at me. I stared at it for what seemed like an eternity, and I began to recognize myself. I was a skeleton compared to what I had been like the last time I saw myself, my once long, clean hair was a mess of dirt and blood. I had never been so thin in my life, any excess fat or curves were long gone. I realized how long I had been standing there, looking into the water. I stood up, and looked back towards the lake. It was slowly flowing to the south; I could here the sounds of a rushing river far off in the distance. I followed the lake towards the river, maybe I could figure out where I was or how I got there. Within an hour I was at the edge of the river. My body was weak from days without food, I needed to sleep. I found a flat rock by the riverside, laid down, and went to sleep.
  3. Alright thanks, I'll start on my story now.
  4. I think a key to the map would be good, just so it's consistent. Some of it's obvious, but are the pale blue parts lakes? Or swamps? It would make it so the story is consistent in between threads, since some people might interpret it differently.
  5. Just a note: Silencers aren't a cure all anti zombie thing. They are not designed to muffle the sound of a gunshot even close to completely, and will still attract zombies. They are designed for anti-human combat, and they are designed to make a gunshot not sound like a gunshot so enemy combatants won't come running, even if they hear it. They do muffle the sound, but zombies will still be able to hear it.
  6. I was playing 6 v 1 on shipyard tdm, my entire team rage quit from the last round, and I beat the other team using a m16. With steady aim that thing is unbeatable.
  7. Then neither person would take 90 rounds to kill. If it comes down to a fight with an armed human, who knows what will happen. Whoever hits the other first will probably win.
  8. Alone? You'll die in your sleep! 'Tis troo. Not neccasarily. If the stairs were out, he wouldn't have to worry. Plus he could set up traps and alarms. ie: a rope with a bell that connects near his bed so he would wake up. For a submarine, we don't have a chance. They're extremely complicated to maintain, and without being trained for years we would all die. Sorry. There is no reason to pick a submarine over say, a cruise ship, if you could get one. You could literally just sit in the middle of the ocean. But so would 500,000 other boats. There would not be enough fish to go around. Land, in my opinion is the way to go. Here would be ideal conditions. Above the snow line. Secluded, AT LEAST 5 miles away from civilization, or blocked off by some natural barrier (ie: a lake), in a area where agriculture is possible, or fishing, or both. Easily defensible. Either by a pre-existing building or in the form of natural barriers. Near natural resources, like trees, workable rock, or otherwise. The most important are the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th ones. The 1st is important, but not necessary, and the last is good but nor necessary. Here's one area I know of, I camped there once. An hours drive from any civilization, on an old unused logging road. Only because my family has a heavy duty SUV could we make it on that road. It's I believe 20 miles away from the nearest house, or anything. This is the area: It's a mountain. Not really tall, but it's still big-ish. On top, or near the top is a lake. There is a peninsula in the lake, I drew a picture of how it looks. [hide=][/hide] Jpeg format kind of ruined it. Anyways, I might go there. That would provide no defence against zombies. The trees would fall over and quite frankly that place looks horrible. If there is a god that must have been his first attempt. Trees would fall over? and it's a downward waterfall, not going into the lake, going from it. There's a strong current, so all the zombies would be dragged into the waterfall and onto some lovely rocks. It's about a 200x80 feet peninsula. (goes 200 into the lake, 80 wide). I don't see why it wouldn't be good. It's in one of the most difficult to reach areas in my state, with no humans for 20 miles, the only way up the mountain is a small path, then there's only one way for zombies to come onto the peninsula, and the soil there is really fertile. The peninsula is also on higher ground than the lake by a good amount, so flooding isn't an issue. If you could get a speedboat up there somehow, you could dock it and use it to escape in a bad situation. A wall could easily be made to block the land approach.

  10. an ounce of gunpowder, like 8 pounds of aluminum powder, 3 pounds of iron oxide (or 8 of iron oxide, and 3 of aluminum. I forget) and a roll of magnesium. Most awesome school supported science project ever.
  11. Kids who talk crap in OT. Go back to General if you want to whine about Runescape. People who tell others what to do. Kids who post things in the wrong sections, then get mad at people for pointing it out.
  12. I'm here. I'll do whatever has people, especially zombea, but I have know idea what to do for it at the moment.
  13. No kidding. I might actually play sniper if I got that. It's almost useless on the maps I play, but so satisfying. Lining up a headshot on a moving heavy makes my day.
  14. Hawaii is really densely populated, and the islands are fairly close together making seaborne zombies really likely. I know a few islands out there that are empty, but i doubt they could support agriculture. One good thing is the water is crystal clear, so you could see the zombies. Hawaii has a lot of people though, and if the infection spread there, it would be hard to contain. There are also a lot of poisonous spiders/EVIL CENTIPEDES in hawaii. I got bit by one of the centipedes there. Grr.
  15. Death. Or life, depending on how you interpret it.
  16. I agree with indie. I wouldn't travel 10000 miles to some fortress that may or may not exist to survive with some kids from an internet forum, in the middle of the [bleep]ing apocalypse. If you guys were to come to my area, sure why not, and my state's pretty kickass. It has low population density, good farming capabilities, above the snow line, and has ben and jerry's
  17. periscopes haven't been glass like you're thinking of for like 50 years. It's cameras now.
  18. I'm loving northeastern vermont. Go live there.
  19. Well I personally would stick in the US. I know it better, guns and ammo are more accessible, and above all the people I know are here. Here's my plan, assuming I am where I am now, with all the stuff I have now, and zombies are somewhere in my state. They wouldn't be at my house because 1: I live on a mountain in the middle of no where 2: I have no neighbours within half a mile 3: I would have heard about zombies before they got to me. That being said, here are my immediate steps. 1: Fill all the tubs and sinks with water. I have a well, so I can get more water but I would need to go outside to use the manual pump. 2: Close my garage, and pile all the crap I have in the garage that isn't necessary (a lot) in front of it, to reinforce it. 3: Take my family's chainsaw and cut down the poles that hold up my porch, which would effectively get rid of all other entrances to my house, as of the doors are on the porch, which is at least 8 feet off the ground in all places. 4: Move all my food upstairs, fill all containers with water, and stockpile it in our attic/3rd floor. 5: Destroy the stairs with chainsaw, put a ladder to the top floor. 6: Get my dads hunting rifle, go outside with a giant coil of fencing and fence off our vegetable garden, and my yard which would be able to support food growing. 7: Plant food from seeds, cut down trees to help reinforce the fence. 8: survive. I would need to raid a gun store a few miles away eventually, but we have like 500 bullets so that would be enough for a while 9: if the opportunity arises, take my car (which is a really good off-road car as well) get to the lake with supplies, take my dad's boat, and go to an offshore island i mentioned earlier in this thread.
  20. I stopped reading. Stop being an idiot. What are you, 16, 17? You really think you have enough experience in life to patronize him? Grow some balls and pick on someone your own size. In any case, his whole situation is stupid. And you do gain a lot of life experience from say, 12-18. That's the same age difference as 6-12 years old. Twelve year old relationships are usually meaningless, and she was cheating on you. If my boyfriend cheated on me, I would be pissed at the girl, but I wouldn't attack her. That's honestly a good way to get yourself suspended or kicked out of school. or in jail. I don't really believe in "once a cheater, always a cheater" but that often is the case. Here's what was probably going through her mind. She was going out with you, but liked another, guy, made out with him, let him feel her up, but later she got guilty because she was still going out with you, and didn't want to make you feel bad, or whatever, but in the end, she probably doesn't even like you anymore.
  21. The dead ringer sucks, in my opinion. I like the other watch though, you can get anywhere with it without becoming visible. I got a few duplicates, but no sniper stuff yet or the ambassador.
  22. A parking building might be a good idea. Raiders won't be as big a problem earlier on, there will still be plenty of supplies. If you're in a very heavily infested city, and you have enough supplies, raiders wouldn't be much of an issue due to the massive amounts of zombies.
  23. Apparently they will allow item trading in the future or something. I have like 4 flare guns. Btw found out today that with a pyro's help a sniper can get his arrow lit on fire, which on impact will actually cause the enemy to catch fire. That's sick. The standing still watch is fun. hint: crouch when you move. you get more distance before it runs out.
  24. Unless i am very mistaken, you don't need to be a sniper/whatever to get the items. I got a watch as a pyro
