  1. Heres mine. Its not great, but it does what I need it to. The processor will probably be upgraded, since that is the weakest part. Other than the OS, but I dont feel like doing anything about that. 2.66ghz Celeron 768MB RAM Ati Raedon 9250 256MB Pci Graphics Card (no agp, so thats why pci) Some Intel mobo Sound Blaster Audilogy Sound Card CD-RW/DVD drive 2x 80GB hard drives 15 inch ViewSonic LCD (got it when lcds were still uncommon, it was cool at the time) Thats about it. Since I dont need anything better, I have no reason to upgrade it.
  2. If you dont know what you are doing, dont try linux. As mentioned, dual booting is really what you should do. I have Linux running on a seperate computer (aka the one im on) from my main computer. Linux does have the stability advantage over Windows, so if you only need to surf the web/check email/use a word processor Linux is great. But try dual booting it, and see if you can get it up. It would help to have a second hard drive just for Linux so you can wipe the drive during installation. Its not necessary, but it makes things easier.
  3. Myabe an hour or so a day now. I used to play a lot more, but I lost interest a bit and dont play as much. By a lot, I mean like 4 hours a day.
  4. The hard drive will work with the motherboard. You might want to consider getting a Sata 2 hard drive, but it isnt necessary. I hope you dont have any trouble putting your computer together, and enjoy it when you do have it together. :)
  5. I can get into the low 40's. I swim, so that really helps with arm stregnth.
  6. And for 49.99 more than the Creative costs you get almost 4 times the memory with video capability. link plz? seeing as ipods are sold out for xmas. They are not "sold out for christmas". You can still find them at many places. On topic, I loved the original, but dont have a DS. I will not be getting it. Video games have really lost their apeal to me, so I dont do much gaming now.
  7. Less Than Jake on Feb 14, Rise Against if they come to the theatre in my town as rumored. I heard January, but it probably wont happen.
  8. i wouldn't bother .. just save up some more money and get a new motherboard and a pci-e graphics card... PCI graphics cards transfer data too slow so unless your only going to play runescape and old games get the 5500 but if u want graphics card that can run the newest games out today.. i would get a new motherboard cpu and graphics card. I have a pci graphics card (raedon 9250) and it runs Half Life 2 just fine at a decent setting. And getting a new motherboard and graphics card would probably be way too much.
  9. That's not the ridiculous part though because Apple has said that there were defects in the first Nanos that made them scratch way too easily. The ridiculous part is that Apple is replacing them so why would anyone sue? You're getting your Nano replaced...sigh... Actually, I believe it was a faulty lcd screen that they admitted to. They said that the plastic was the same in all previous iPods.
  10. Denver Airport resembles a swastika.. loosely :P http://maps.google.com/maps?q=denver+international+airport&ll=39.862227,-104.671898&spn=0.111407,0.328766&t=k&hl=en Heh, it kinda does. I never noticed that before.
  11. Its not designed for full movies. It is just fine for music videos, and other short video clips. I would get one if i didnt already have an iPod. The video feature is just an extra, the primary function is still music. Back on topic, the black one, because imo it looks better.
  12. I just saw Serenity yesterday. It was very good. I havent seen much else recently, dont watch many movies.

I highly reccomend the iSkin. It comes with the skin and a clear screen protector, click wheel protectors are $5 more for 3.
  14. Beethovens Symphoney Number 9 and Symphoney Number 9 "From the New world" are both very good. And as mentioned, the Brandenberg Concertos are execellent.
  15. The speakers you chose are execellent. I have them, and really like them. I dont see a sound card on there. You will need a 5.1 compliant sound card to get the most out of them.

  17. Im sure you can upgrade, and some hosts may put it inot effect immedently. The host Mercifull looks like a good one. I dont have any suggestions since I only used free hosting untill I set up my server.
  18. Getting a server set up can be complex, but rewarding. For the actual machine, any computer can work. I would reccomend a 1ghz processor, 256mb of ram (512+ would be best), and a decent hard drive. if you look, you can get a machine like this for a couple hundred dollars or less. Then you will need to install server software on it. For hosting, you will need a http and a ftp server. If you are just hosting your own site, then only http is needed (unless you want to work on your site away from home). My experience is only in a Windows enviorment, but the cheapest way to get software would be to install Linux (I have heard that Debian is best for beginners) and the compile and install Apache. The Apache website has great documentation for installing and configuring it. Bandwidth is the ammount of data that can be transferred through a connection in a given time period. For example, 50kbps means that 50 kilobits can be transferred in a second. When you sign up for an internet plan, you get a certain ammount of bandwidth (I have comcast cable, and they claim i am getting 3mbps downstrean, and 768 up, but i only get a fraction of that). For hosting a server, an actual 400kbps+ upstream speed is the best, but if you dont have many visitors you can get by with less. About the cpanel, I have no idea what you are talking about. Could you clarify? For the money side of it, I dont have much experience. Im not sure wether it would cover the costs or not. I have to goto bed now, but I will edit tomorrow with more info and to make it easier to understand. Im sorry if its not well written, im tired right now. I hope this helps.
  19. Yes, it is. Instead of setting up a normal wlan, you set up an "ad-hoc" lan, which is just a wlan with no router.
  20. Wrong. From http://www.webster.com/cgi-bin/dictionary?book=Dictionary&va=homophobia: irrational fear of, aversion to, or discrimination against homosexuality or homosexuals I really dont like homophobes. I feel that it is just like racism or sexism. Discrimination is wrong, and will always be wrong. On the topic of male cheerleaders, I see nothing wrong with it. If they are happy, I am ok with it.
  21. php stands for php hypertext preprocessor. I cant give much background on it, but I know that tip.it was made using php with a my-sql database. Go to http://www.php.net for more information, but become comfterable with html before trying to learn php.
  22. pirate it, which I dont reccomend. As wyrm said, learning html and some php is the best way to start. then once you get good at that, you can start messing with other stuff.

I swim. I have been swimming since I was 5, and competivly since I was 10. I really enjoy swimming, and love to be in and around the water.
  24. Ok, that doesnt sound too bad. I hope that your skill will improve on reading relationships. Thanks.
  25. Will I get a date in the next three months? And what will the girl I get it with be like?
