How's work on the FSP (rogue world) going?

Ahh. I have about a 1% growth rate presently, and I was wondering which of us had the lowest growth rates in the entire game.

Hey Doom. What's your population growth rate?

King John has been dead for decades (old age). King Albert is under stasis because nanotechnology and current game tech (for everyone) is not sufficient to cure this rare disease. Nanotechnology only temporarily "cures" it, but it's not a permanent fix. Something like that. It's not contagious, though. Anyway, King George VII will rule for the remainder of his life (estimate of about 45-50 years). Then, the first Ageless King will ascend to the throne. He will likely rule for over 1000 years due to the incredible lifespans... God Save the King~ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-2Xw-GNkUQ

It's a new disease. Hey, you gotta have some kind of rare disease that wipes off people every now and then. Even if it's a magical disease that's somehow resistant to current technology.

Breaking News A Federalist president, Winston Evans, was elected by the people. King Albert succumbed to the rare neurological disease and was placed under stasis. A "funeral" was held for him, even though he's not dead. Millions attended his "funeral". King George VII had his coronation ceremony. The duo promise continued reforms (referring to the disastrous militopian games at New London) and also promise to protect our liberties and continue economical prosperity.

True, but I would still have Canada during mod 1 and 2 (if he does that). I had Canada when the Japanese Empire joined the Greater Britannian Empire. it was decades later that the deal was made to sell Canada (the land) in exchange for Africa and its inhabitants. I was allowed to keep the Canadians and military tech though. By the time World War 5 rolled around, Britannia didn't have Canada anymore.

The only way I could somehow replicate your partially merger is to make Japan Britannia's puppet state. I want to have this include as little silliness as possible, as it's likely other people will play it other than just us. What's likely is that since this'll probably take 6 months -> a year+ to complete (it's not my job after all, if it was it would probably take longer), everyone here will probably have lost interest anyways :P Mmk. So another person still gets to lead that, right? Also, is all of the Japanese Empire involved (including India)?

In this mod, Britannia would still have Canada, correct? Then Japan would be completely independent?

Post and discuss all Jagex Twitter updates here!
While you guys were arguing about Jagex, you could have discussed the Q&A session that lasted from January 4 - 7.

Hegemony Argument Thread
By now, everyone has fair and ample time to send their stats to Archi. I was able to do it on the first day, and I'm one of the oldest members, so I think it is fair to assume that everyone else should have done it by now. As far as the standardization issue goes, just give a rough estimate to Archi and let him work with you. At least it gives us something to work with. If you decide not to, then don't be upset when he makes assumptions during a battle, and it causes you to be on the losing end.

No. Alien races shouldn't exist, and there should be a standard tech. (So no SG tech, sorry.) I think Dusty's just trying to recreate the old Hegemony where everything (except the zombie plague...) was a reasonable prediction for the future.

Aww. I see now. Still, that's pretty impressive.

Hegemony Argument Thread
Yeah I noticed! Why wasn't I informed of this? I thought you guys were going to keep me in the loop :( I jumped in on page 97, I nearly shat myself when I saw the thread was less than 72 hours old! WTF. It nearly doubled itself in under one hour (since you made this post)!

Freedom of Press
I understand that. However, it's still pretty damn disgraceful whenever the media takes advantage of their freedoms and tries to gather ratings at any cost, even if it hurts a person's career. This man may have made a mistake, but it doesn't warrant the publicity that he's currently receiving over the issue... As far as politicians go, private details should not be divulged during a campaign in order to ruin the other candidate's political career, unless it is pertinent. (i.e. The person is currently actively engaging in illegal activities, or they advocate a certain political philosophy) Pertinent information reveals a politician's character, which is a very important factor that potential voters deserve to know before voting for a certain individual. However, if something is impertinent, it should be kept confidential. You may feel that a politician made a mistake because he did drugs, but as long as it was in the past and isn't something that hasn't happened recently, then it is irrelevant and has no bearing on the person's ability to lead.

Freedom of Press
This is an issue that I have been pondering. As you all know, the American media has been relentlessly reporting the "Tiger Woods Affair". I find it disgusting that the media is so quick to destroy a person's life by publishing personal information. The so-called "mistresses" are making a killing by threatening to reveal 'juicy' details about his sexual activities with them, and it has led to his wife divorcing him. Now, the aforementioned is merely an example of the media maliciously destroying a person's life by revealing private details. This also happens in US politics. For example, a presidential candidate may be running for Office and his rival may have people dig up information about his past. He will then try to ruin the other's campaign by saying that the other candidate smoked marijuana as a child, or they held certain views that they no longer hold. With these examples, I have come to the conclusion that Freedom of the Press has gone too far. People are now abusing it in order to savagely ruin another human's life, and they are using it in order to deceive the ignorant masses into voting for them. This is purely corrupt, and I believe that it should be crushed. The Freedom of Press should be amended, and revealing private details during a political campaign should be abolished. People should never have the power to ruin another person's life with impertinent details about their private life. Of course, people should still be able to express their opinions, within reason. I apologize in advance for the roughly-written post.

Interesting coinky-dink, doncha think? North Ireland also has a lot of ice cover. The Irish Republic doesn't.

Still, even if we aren't really causing this change, we still need to ensure that the Earth stays protected. Especially since we can't travel to other star systems yet. If our planet goes, the entire race goes with it.

Alliance talks began very early. Of course you don't "know" anything about early alliance talks (as far as your Hegemony nation goes), but for this project that you're doing, I'd say sometime around mid-August.

It looks very beautiful, although I bet those who are suffering from power outages and car wrecks aren't going to agree with me. We were going to have a "major" ice storm last night, but it never happened. The Arctic Blast over North America missed us by a few counties. :(

Wow that's really too bad D: The 3D aspect is what *really* made the movie. Yes well, I still thought it was amazing haha. If they release it with 3d glasses (they do that, right?) I will buy that crap up. Yes. The 3D glasses look like sunglasses, though. They're not the retro paper glasses with the blue and red lenses.

Hegemony Argument Thread
We've been pretty much playing Dungeoneering while we're waiting on the last two people to submit their stats to Archimage. If anyone hasn't done that yet, please do so immediately so we can play good ol' Hegemony again. Of course I'm not particularly worried about my projects since they will be finished at the end of the month anyway.

I'm asleep. Don't bug me. ((You guys better hope that this ice storm prevents me from going to school tomorrow.))

Damn. That movie is going to be so horribly censored... I can't even imagine.
