  1. Bet you can't wait for the wedding night, eh? The best way to get married is to go to the church in Entrana and get married by a Saradomin priest. Then, ask Jagex if they'll go ahead and fax both you and your spouse a certificate of marriage. Show it to your parents and ask them for money to go to wherever your spouse lives. Once there, say "Hi" to their parents and then both of you sneak into the bedroom and the deal's done. After that, it's your honeymoon. Enjoy. Most relationships on Runescape last 3 months before you two are engaged and then an average of 5 weeks before you marry. RS is a very good way to get to know someone and marry them. Call it "speed dating" if you will. It's the fast food of Holy Matrimony!
  2. Some laws are stupid and the people should let the authorities know what they think of them. People shouldn't be scared of their governments - the governments should be afraid of the people. [/V for Vendetta reference] Anyway I thought this story was strange. I guess it's no stranger than some of the other stuff the government has done.
  3. Just throwing that out there for you guys trying to prove Yahweh/Jehovah exists. They're your bloody rules, so don't freak out.

As far as public places, it should. As far as private areas, no. In all honesty, I have smoked 3 cigarettes in a row once before (the only ones I've smoked) and I'm supposed to have asthma and a history of bronchitis as a child. Did the cigarettes really affect me? No. It's something that is exaggerated by a lot of anti-smoking groups. "Even one cigarette will kill you and make you look like this: (old man hooked up to an oxygen tank)" To be honest, I probably wouldn't smoke another one. It DOES have long-term effects, and some of my friends can testify to this. As far as public areas, it creates an overwhelming odor when several people are smoking at once. Many people really do have serious health concerns and this is hazardous for them.
  5. I would think that neither would really have any effect on the child's sexuality. As far as being more accepting at an earlier age, Child B would definitely be more likely. They already know what homosexuality is and isn't and they understand it. The straight couple *might* indoctrinate Child A with homophobia. Really I think the first example was vague. If it was a hardcore conservative couple, then I'd say the child will most likely be homophobic. If it was a liberal/tolerant couple, then I'd say that the child would be more tolerant.
  6. And homosexual sex isn't for pleasure?
  7. -Southern (US) Accents -Backward Baseball Caps -Eye and Lip Makeup -Male Cologne That Smells Like Garbage (literally) -Sagging Pants -Sagging Shirts -Camouflage Jackets -Poor Spelling/Grammar -People saying "bro" -Loud People -Mixing of Red/Blue, Blue/Orange, Green/Red -Facial Hair -Long Nails -Cheaters -Gossips
  8. ...That automatically makes the United States a Christian theocracy?
  9. Art. 11. As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquillity, of Mussulmen; and, as the said States never entered into any war, or act of hostility against any Mahometan nation, it is declared by the parties, that no pretext arising from religious opinions, shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries. -Article 11 of Treaty of Tripoli, 1796-1797; Authored by American diplomat Joel Barlow in 1796, the following treaty was sent to the floor of the Senate, June 7, 1797, where it was read aloud in its entirety and unanimously approved. John Adams, having seen the treaty, signed it and proudly proclaimed it to the Nation. Thought that would be interesting.
  10. Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Chibi Vampire, Goth (based on the novel), Strawberry Panic!, Kannazuki no Miko, and Death Note (manga was boring though) Thinking about reading Higurashi and Fate/Stay Night.
  11. Superjail...
  12. I admit, temptation is everywhere, I mean..I still have my gf, and I get tempted to wander away at times due to all of them. Female friends can be both a blessing, and a curse. More or less depends on the situation though. ...And your T-levels.
  13. I get along better with females. Males are hard for me to relate with and most of them seem to be all about fighting, proving something (which results in more fighting), or fulfilling a 'booty call.' Not to mention that most of them are backwards. However, most of the females are also caniving and untrustworthy. I've seen some that have been long-time friends and then they end it over petty arguments. (i.e. the Presidential Election results) The funny thing is that I still get along well with most of them. Although, I have a childhood friend that's a guy and I still have one friend left over from 7th grade, and he's a very good and helpful friend (even though I only get to talk to him over IM because he's in Texas and I'm in Arkansas) and my childhood friend (and his sisters) live in Colorado now...
  14. Man is fallible. The Bible is infallible. Because the Bible is infallible while man is fallible, it must have been inspired by faeries. Since the Bible was faery-inspired, Pink Unicorn exists. Since Pink Unicorn exists, you must mutilate your genitals and scream "Bloody Murder!" Good luck proving why this is neither reasonable nor logical.
  15. I'd just like to add this: -Talking snakes -Zombies with magical healing powers -Virgin mothers -Zoo arks -A few thousand-year-old universe Now are you really gonna sit there and tell me that those aren't outside the realm of reason? Nah, that's perfectly reasonable. Same with magical bananas.
  16. "Good evening, beautiful! You know what cosmologists say about how our universe was made: the Big BANG did it. How about we get together and see if we can create another universe in our 'lab?' While we're at it, let's make a Milky Way as well."
  17. No I don't expect women to work at all during pregnancy, I certainly wouldn't expect my girlfriend to work. The male applicant is simply the better choice (assuming all other attributes and skills for the job are even). You can complain about nature all you want, but it wont change anything. I thought companies had to hire women or they could get sued? Especially if the prospect for hiring is a minority?
  18. I don't know Italian, but I've taken 2 years each in French and Spanish, so I'm a little familiar with Romance Languages. I picked out a word that I think has something to do with reading, but other than that, sorry. There's an Italian foreign exchange student at my school, but I'm not about to bombard him with any translation questions, he gets too many. Anyway I know two phrases in Italian, but neither are they relevant, nor are they appropriate.
  19. The problem with that is it isn't always true. If you were to blindly treat someone a certain way off of the assumption that they are more dominant/stronger or if they are more submissive/weaker, then you set yourself up for offending that person or just putting them in a very awkward situation that need not to have happened in the first place. That's how today's society works: off the assumption that all males and all females act a certain way, which is complete bullcrap. However, if you just treat everyone the same and do not stereotype anyone, society should be a hell of a lot more equal in regards to gender. Basically what I got from your statement was: A woman wants to become a construction worker. The man that is in charge of hiring looks at her strangely and says "Ma'am, I do not think that this is the right job for you... How about you look into being a stay-at-home mom and work in the kitchen?" The truth is, everyone is different. No one is the same just because of what may or may not be hanging between their legs. I've considered the thought of a multiple-person, unisex bathroom idea. Instead of building several different bathrooms for both sexes, just build fewer bathrooms and make them all unisex. It would cut down on building costs and free up some space, not to mention that most public male restrooms are generally more neglected than female restrooms. Especially at public schools, it is very common to enter a male restroom and notice that half of the toilet stalls are missing doors, urine puddles the floors, and everything else is in disrepair. If you walk into a female restroom, everything seems to be attended to more and the stalls are in good repair. Also with the unisex bathrooms idea, all stalls will be more carefully sound-proofed and closed off to prevent any embarrassment. The only difference is that women and men will stand side-by-side and wash their hands in the sink and dry their hands and exit. With the dressing room idea, there will no longer be a dressing stall for men on one side of the store and one for women on the other, they will both be joined and the stalls will still be individual and the doors will not have gaps, as to prevent embarrassment/discomfort/fear of being watched, which exists in most changing rooms nowadays. Also, it is common that you will be yelled at if you go anywhere near a changing room and you're the "wrong" gender. I think it's very ridiculous that they do this.
  20. I've heard that as well. It was on NASA's site, I believe. I believe they said that they were able to pretty much tell what shape the universe was (spherical) and they found this out by calculating the average amount of atoms that occupy a unit of space. They said space wasn't a perfect vacuum. Anyway, the shape of the universe that they have come to the conclusion with supposedly means that the universe will expand forever (whether than expand to a certain point and collapse in on itself due to gravity from all of the galaxies). Is this anything similar to what you have seen in an article somewhere?
  21. Behold! The "Atheists Nightmare": Bananas Prove That God Exist ...Says Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort, two evangelicals who designed a Christian program called 'Way of the Master.' We must be scared, very scared...
  22. I wud' advise that you move to the highly deeveloped South, where Christianity is all but the official state religee-on and put yo' kids in ah protestant schoo-el. I hear 'dat da Deep South is 200 years ahead of the rest of the United States. Here in da South, we have ah advanced social systee-em. Black folk know der place an' answer white folk when they speak to them by sayin', "Yassir!" and we are workin' hard to ban 'dat damn interracial marriage bullhockey. Praise Jesus!
  23. I have to laugh about the people who blurt out all this "sanctitiy of 'traditional' marriage" BS. What is "traditional" marriage? A man and many wives? Arranged marriages? Oh and if they're maintaining the "sanctity" of marriage, shouldn't they try to ban divorces, too? Kind of ironic, isn't it? Oh and Prop 8 did pass, unfortunately. Let's just hope that Prop 8 gets overturned, just as some human rights advocates are trying to do as we speak. Oh well. At least Matthew Shepard Act (I think it's still alive. I don't remember Bush vetoing it.) will pass now that we have Obama and an even greater Democratic House and Senate majority. And if the Conservative Supreme Court judges retire as they plan to, perhaps some liberal Judges as well.
  24. My closing thoughts on the election: Today, November 4, 2008, marks a major change in America. America's new president, Barack Obama, has been given the honor of being the first African American to be elected as the President of the United States of America, one of the most powerful positions in the world. With 338 Electoral votes, he became the 44th President. John McCain gave him a wonderful speech of congratulations. Obama gave a powerful victory speech about historical and social progress, shattering over 200 years of American history, and becoming the first Democrat to take Virginia since the 1960s. This speech impacted me, as well as millions of others in the country, not to mention billions of people in the world. The world is celebrating Obama's victory tonight, not just America. I, too, changed tonight; I used to be ashamed of being American. I used to think it was disgraceful and America was full of nothing but insane religious fanatics. Who knows how far the world will be in 50 years... Maybe the world will be an accepting, fully-secularized collective. Maybe there will be no petty squabbles over land, such as rivalry between nations. Perhaps we'll be one one-government Global in the future. One can only imagine. There were some losses tonight, though. Arkansas Act 1 passed, banning homosexual couples from adopting. I think California Proposition 8 passed as well, banning gay marriage, which was legalized in May 2008 by California Supreme Court. Despite these unjust losses, the idea of freedom lives on. With the pieces in position, I do not doubt that one day -perhaps very soon- gay rights will be fully recognized as a human right and people, gay or straight (or even transgender), will have equal rights. This has been the best presidential election that I've ever witnessed. Both sides did a great job, and both stood up for what they believed to be right, and I respect that.
  25. This sums up the election for those of who don't know the results. Obama won 338+ Electorals.
