Do you sit strangely?
I often sit in the "monkey positions" like the OP, and I used to sit like GingerWarrior said. The only problem is that I gained weight and I can't do that without wrecking my knees, but I still sit on my right foot and leave my left leg dangling to the floor. I sometimes put both feet on the chair and kind of "sit" on them. This looks like I'm standing on the chair and "sitting" on the air. It isn't that comfortable, but it helps me when I have to sit higher to see something. (I'm pretty short by the way, like 5'5") [EDIT]

America - Home of the Free?
That was a pretty radical way to put it (not necessarily a bad thing), but I would agree on many points, especially after living in America all my life. The problem with America arises from the religious radicalism that runs much of the country and the country's own arrogance. The religious radicals fight against social equality and brand almost everything as "evil." A good example of the religious [wagon]-kissing that goes on in America is the fact that gay marriage isn't legal in every state (really I believe only one state has it legalized. ONE state!) and the fact that an atheist wouldn't be elected to any high office in the government anytime soon, even if they are perfect for the job. An example of arrogance would the fact that from an early age, adults constantly bombard kids with slogans like "America is the best country in the world" or "Other countries hate America for its freedom." While national pride isn't a bad thing, national ARROGANCE is. When a country declares war on a certain political ideology and invades a country for it, they are basically forcing their beliefs on another country; even if the country's ideals are bad, it is not any more right for another country to police them. America has also emprisoned thousands of Japanese in concentration camps during WWII, even after the condemnation against Adolf Hitler for his extermination of the Jews and the set up of concentration camps. America emprisoned thousands of Japanese-Americans based solely on the assumption that all Japanese were evil and a threat to America. Racist propaganda was also circulated through America during this time period against Asians. The best thing America can do would be to limit religious freedom, let the world be, fix the economy, and just CHILL OUT.

"What the hell are they doing?"
People usually AFK at bandits by [usually] wearing Guthans and then putting something heavy on the arrow keys of the keyboard and leaving the computer. That doesnt make any sence, just having a key pressed constantly? doesnt the counter start when theres no more continued movement, wouldnt you need to have like something putting pressure on and off of the keys? like the water droplet thing on that episode of the simpsons :P heheh, moomoo The rotating camera counts as constant ingame movement, or at least the last time I checked. Theoretically the weight holding down the key would keep the camera rotating, and the Guthans armor is good for 15 hours. Of course after 15 hours, you would want to be out of there because your armor would degrade and unequip itself. It's actually pretty clever technique, but it can get you banned.

When will you end it all?
Some of the titles of the newer threads in this forum made me laugh. "When will you end it all?" "Are you afraid of death?" ... Anyway, I guess I won't quit until it actually ends or when Jagex ruins it completely.

"What the hell are they doing?"
I've done that before. It's actually pretty amusing to see the ducks turn into huge blocks of ice on the water. I guess the most WTF thing I've seen someone do on RS is when a random guy starts typing "Need gf, press 123 if you wanna b ma gf" into the chat.

The Niggles: A Brief History
The Niggles are an ancient race of Elves that came into being 500 years before the God Wars. They have always been a peaceful Elven tribe, but also a target of hate. Before Lord Zaros was overthrown, they were his slaves, and were forced to build his temples all across Gielinor. They are also known for wearing colorful pointy hats with bell attached to them, pointy boots, green clothes, and playing with tambourines and other musical instruments. Almir, a half-Niggle, was at the right-hand of Zaros and had kept his ancestry secret for all of his life. One day, however, he witnessed a Niggle being beaten down by a Zarosian soldier. Almir immediately stabbed the soldier in the back with a dagger and buried the soldier near the Elid. Paranoia struck Almir and he fled to a distant land shrouded with trees. There, he met a strange tribe of Elves that were closely related to the Niggles. They pleaded with him to return to Zaros and demand the freedom of the Niggle Tribe. The sad stares of the Elves finally convinced Almir to return to Zaros's realm and free the Niggles. Upon his arrival, Almir was warmly greeted by Zaros. However, Almir promptly said, "Let my people go." Zaros vigorously refused, but Almir was adamant in his demands. Finally, Almir decided to lead a revolt against Zaros. Zamorak and several other Mahjarrat decided to join in the effort to overthrow Zaros. Zaros was overthrown and Zamorak was now a god in Zaros's place. Almir and the Niggles were beyond the Baxtorian Falls and resided with the other Elves. For millenia, they lived in peace and quiet. Presently, the Niggles reside in scattered locations around Gielinor, but suffer a lot of persecution. Andrew the Great has ordered the genocide of the Niggles, so the Niggles are in hiding across the world. Some cultures accuse the Niggles of poisoning their wells and bewitching their crops so they always die; this myth has been used as propaganda for Nigglean persecution. ARAA (Allied Resistance Against Andrew) is fighting against Andrew's armies and liberating the Niggles from Detention Camps across Gielinor. Who will win? Will the Niggles ever be free from persecution? Stay tuned for the next installment!

Raising Farming
I've raised my farming from 45-70 in 1-2 weeks. I primarily planted trees and fruit trees, but I also planted all allotments and herbs + flowers and bushes and harvested the allotments and herbs once every hour, for as long as you want. When you can plant certain plants, I would follow this welfare budget: -Willow Trees -Curry Trees (can be substituted with Pineapple plants, but will cost 81.3k per run on these alone. MTK will make you break even though. If you don't know what MTK is, don't worry about it and just stick to curries for now.) -Bushes (optional, provides a nice boost to your experience if you plant them between runs) -Cacti (this is about 500exp every few hours, but if you pick the spines, you gain 7-8k GP per harvest) Willow seeds are around 5k each, or 25-26k per 3.6 hours. Curry seeds are a small 2-3k, or 10-15k per 14.6 hours (harvest once a day). The cacti and [higher level] bushes (such as whiteberries and poison ivy) help you break even (not lose money) or even help you profit. Herbs such as avantoe are good for making about 15k per herb patch (if you use supercompost + magic secateurs) and only cost a mere 50-100GP per seed. If you plant allotments, use sweetcorn. They are good for breaking even on the sweetcorn seed expense. Be sure to use supercompost on all allotments and herb patches. For trees, fruit trees, and bushes, pay the farmer to watch them for you; they are your primary experience. For flower patches, I normally frown upon using supercompost, but at your level, it would be a good idea. Just use supercompost on flower patches and plant marigolds, which are 3k per harvest! When making supercompost, either buy willow or maple roots on the GE or use the roots you harvest from your trees. It takes 15 of them per compost bin to make supercompost. It is also 250XP per compost bin when you're collecting 15 buckets full of supercompost. I have also found hops to be a decent amount of experience per harvest as long as you supercompost them. Keep in mind that the following are useful for farming: -Magic Secateurs (must finish Fairy Tale pt 1, increases herbs harvested) -Ectophial (must finish Ghosts Ahoy, use for quick access to a farming area near Ectofuntus) -Garden Pies (+3 Farming boost) -Familiars (Compost Mound* or Stranger Plant**) -Explorer's Ring 3 (Lumbridge/Draynor Diary, use Cabbage Patch) [Remember these aren't required, but are pretty useful in my opinion.] Have fun!

What are your thoughts on grand exchange merchanting?
I once knew a clan that drove the Saradomin Sword down to 9M a year ago, sometime around the release of the GE. I believe they were 20-27m then. Of course it only lasted for a small amount of time; it happened in the early morning when the bulk of RS players were just waking up, and some idiots fell for the trick. When smarter people started arriving in the SS spot in W2 Fally, the price went back to normal almost instantly and the clan just walked off slowly. It was a small clan, but they posed as normal buyers and other members pretended to sell the sword to the other person for 9M. They communicated through a clan chat.

secondary items for phoenix?
-Entrana Firebird feathers -Ashes -Tinderbox -Some type of new charm, similar to obsidian charms -Fire Rune -Fire Battlestaff Those are my speculations. You have to do a quest in order to have one by the way, which could mean that they're releasing a new item as a secondary. Of course this would probably mean that they will be horded as soon as they come out and near impossible to get without paying some outrageous fee to another player via junk trades. I just hope it's a worthwhile familiar. I could use a good fighter. I believe it will be in the 50-75 range in the summoning skill.

Has Jagex Really Done All They Could?
I don't see how Jagex could even take legal action because cheating on video games isn't illegal. The only things that I see like this that are illegal are private servers because they infringe copyright laws.

Creating new life in old places... But how/where?
-Rimmington -Ardougne -Relekka -Mort'ton -Canifis -Port Phasmateys -Gu'tanoth -Yanille -Edgeville -Ice Mountain -Port Khazard -Burthorpe -Mage Arena. Could use an update to make it popular again. -Rat Pits -Nardah -Sophanem -Al Kharid -Dig Site -Seer's Village -Camelot -Monastery -Elf Lands. Pretty cool area, but not very much activity. A) Update Lletya B) Update Arandar Pass C) Open up Prindiffas -Draynor Village and Draynor Manor. No real use here. -Entrana. Pain to access. A) Make a less strict ban on items, or even abolish item bans. B) Update the Scenery C) Expand more with Entrana quests and/or expand the island with new content. -Crandor Island. No use except for ranging greater demons. -Karamja -Port Sarim -Lumbridge. I know it has had some updates. But there's not much to the town. -Castle Wars. Could use some new rewards. Hell, revamp the entire rewards interface. Lanthus could do with a change, too! -Troll Stronghold and Ice Path. No real use aside for quests and access to GWD. -Port Phasmateys. It has an interesting story, but the city doesn't really account for it. Expand more on it. Add new content. -Keldagrim. I personally love this city, but I haven't found any use for it. It needs some content. Those are about it. There are a lot of low-populated areas that need a graphics makeover or new content.

So, whats is high?
I might as well add an interesting twist in the discussion. I think "high" is relative to the player, not necessarily maxed out stats. For a level 50, 70 farming would be "high." For a level 85, 276 quest points would be "high." It really depends. Of course, maxed out stats and quest points are obviously high, regardless of the player.

Amazing Scenery
-Prindiffas. I can't get on RSHD on this computer, but it's the best place in the Elf Lands. It's the Crystal City. (You can only see the gate.)* -POH gardens. I have 3 of them. The gazebo, roses, sunflowers, large fountain, green fencing, hedges, and magic trees are awe-inspiring.* -Castle Drakan and Meiyerditch.* -Trollweiss Mountain. I suspect that it looks amazing in HD. -Arctic Hunting Area. I've always loved this place.* -Stone of Jas -Sorceror's Garden* -Enchanted Valley* -Miscellania* -Poison Waste. Fairy Ring to this spot. Those area really all I can think of. My personal favorites have asterisks by them.

:: tripsis :: 99 Woodcutting!
Welcome back! It's kind of a big deja vu that I saw this thread buried deep within my post history last night. Yeah, I've come back for a while as well and have been overhauling my stats. Have fun! By the way, do you profit from MTKing like that? I thought you had to place 75k into the coffers DAILY, or you'll lose all of your profit.

More holiday event ?
Remember, remember, the 5th of November. I like this idea. We should be given Guy Fowkes masks as well. Yeah, I wonder why the hell a BRITISH company would celebrate July 4th. (Assuming if they did)

What you want your Rs Character to achieve in the next year!
70 farming 70 smithing slayer mask varrock armor 3 70 herblore 70 agility 70 summoning quest cape infernal adze 70 hunting 80 fishing That's really all I have. Most of those 70s shouldn't take forever. Varrock armor 3 should be mine within a month, if that. Slayer mask shouldn't take long, hopefully. I don't really care much about the infernal adze (especially 92 firemaking).

He probably will because you just had to do it because it would "make the pixel world better." Maybe Andrew Gower will give you a cookie.

People in life who deserve recognition
People like William Hung have a lot of musical talent, but are never recognised. This is a video of him auditioning for American Idol: vqmy5qrvaVQ If the player won't show up, try this: Man, he has so much talent! =D>
