{{A Very Difficult Question}}
What mom knows how to swim but her 15 year old son doesn't? A 15 year old would be able to make some effort to save his own life don't you think? Here's a factor to the scenario that hasn't been added yet. The 15 year old is also mentally [developmentally delayed]ed. The 5 year old is not. The 15 year old is so severely [developmentally delayed]ed that he (or better yet, she) cannot comprehend the concept of swimming. Some people would be so torn between choosing to save a young child or mentally handicapped teenager that they would probably be indecisive. With society's mainstream way of thinking, a female would have more sympathy for her than a male would. The females seem to be thought of as more important than males, for some odd reason.

extra ge for p2p
Why not just set up a GE interface at all banks? That sounds a lot easier than creating a another whole Grand Exchange. Well I guess it's good for Varrock because it was a ghost town before the Grand Exchange. Almost everyone (P2P anyway) was trading in Falador or Seer's Bank. It was mostly Seer's Bank on every member's server besides World 2. It really promotes Varrock in my opinion.

Safalaan: An Icyene??
Yes, the Vyrewatch are infact corrupted beings that were once normal [icyenes]. During Legacy of Seergaze, you burn one of the Vyres and see its spirit rising from the burning corpse; basically it's a human with wings. Anyway, the Vyrewatch aren't necessarily evil, but lack the freewill to do good and are tortured souls languishing inside of their own bodies. I suspect that when Lord Drakan took over Hallowvale (Morytania), he also turned the Icyene into slaves and fed upon every human being that came within his realm. By the way, does anyone know more about the Sleeping Seven? Seergaze is one of them.

Teenage school hacker might face 38 years in jail.
No, because you'll be a hacker.

Teenage school hacker might face 38 years in jail.
That's not hacking. Anyone that rummages through a teacher's desk and finds his/her password and uses it is a hacker nowadays? :wall: Anyway, I think that the prosecutors are using the term 'hacker' in order to increase the jury's disapproval. Mostly what he did was just break into a school. It just sounds like they're trying to convict him of everything that they can possibly convict him of, even if it means twisting terminiology around to make him look worse than he really is.

Lock Please
I think it's called Paint.Net or something like that. Are you looking for a free programme?
-
Should the logout timer be removed?
Yes, but with our brilliant idea of peeing while playing Runescape, no rules are broken. I also suggest that we bring a mini-fridge into the bathrooms, too.

What is wrong with RuneScape lately?
More people seem to play this time of year. I've also had lag, but then again I'm playing Runescape on my dad's old 2003 model laptop... Solution: 1) upgrade your computer (or it's time to buy another one) 2) scan for spyware 3) get rid of programs that eat up a lot of resources 4) play on local servers with the least amount of players 5) avoid in-game areas with many people and set the graphics to lowest setting 6) close out of the browser completely (and/or restart the computer) and then open up RS in a new browser window 7) make sure no other programs are running (such as virus scans, etc.); these generate much lag

ipod touch alternatives
I just got one today... Unfortunately I can't use it until Christmas.

Should the logout timer be removed?
I wonder if they can do something similar to this, but sign you off when the window closes. I think it already does this unless you're engaged in combat.

18th December 2008 - Players Gallery, Postbag from the Hedge
On the first picture, the guy with the white armor looks like the main character from Team America: World Police. It looks like the last person is wearing shorts that ride up his/her [wagon], like a thong. (Can't really tell if it's a guy or girl character.) They all look like they're trying to get high in the woods... :?

Hello, my name is Robert. And I own a cannon.
Do the 12 Step Program. I also think there are some church camps for that sort of thing as well... "Pray the cannon away."

Scariest Runescape Moment?
1. A "friend" asked me if he could borrow my d platelegs, rune armor, obsidian shield, whip, and obsidian cape so he could train with it. He basically walked off and I began to get worried about an hour or two later. He logged off for a bit saying that he would go eat dinner and get back on to finish training and return the items. Well, he logged back in, but he turned private chat off and removed me from his friends list. Fortunately, his friend was also a friend of mine, and he negotiated between me and this "friend." Eventually, we were supposed to meet in Seer's Village bank and he was supposed to give me 11m to make up for the theft of the items. At first he was trying to run from me and his friend told me where he was at and fussed at this kid until he met with me. The kid did meet with me and he put up the 11m. We both accepted and he accepted on the last window. For some reason, I was being stupid and paused at the second window and it was long enough that he had second thoughts and logged off. Weeks later this same kid met up with me again and apologized. He said he was scammed recently and wanted to take his anger out on someone else. He gave me 50% of what I lost and it was pretty much resolved. That's one of the very reasons why I got 99 magic: so I could get revenge and wipe him out when we went PKing together in the future. I did go PKing with him in the future, but I couldn't BS him because this large clan of high levels chased us and we had to run south and teleport. :x He was skulled with a whip, too! 2. I was duoing the KQ with a buddy and I was chatting and didn't pay attention to my health. Fortunately, my ring of life teleported me to Falador Castle when I was down to 1 hp. I made it to the bank before the poison could kill me. That would have been a loss of my magic skillcape and V helm. 3. After the aforementioned time when I was scammed by this friend, I tried to make up the ~6.5m worth of items by chopping magic logs in the Gnome Stronghold. I made 2.4m (enough to buy back a whip) and this shady guy PMed me, asking if I would come with him to a drop party. I knew it was a scam, but I came with them anyway and played along. I brought an air staff and teleport runes. We were in level 9 wild and they dropped like 1m worth of items and I went after them all and tried to wield my air staff so I could teleport. I was unfortunately too slow and was teleblocked and ice barraged. Oh well. I lost my whip and was left with 3 mystic tops. (I tried to drop the damned tops, but they wouldn't drop for some glitchy reason.) I was pissed off because of the glitch. I made back the 2.4m in about a week though. -.- OT: When I was training magic, I made a thread about it on here and this random guy PMs me and tells me that he wants to make a "small" donation. He comes to my world and meets me in Seer's bank. He basically trades me his entire bank! I received about 10M worth of items and cash from it all! Most of it was easy to sell, too. I kept some antidragonbreath potions and supersets for future use, though. Needless to say, it was a serious boon to me, especially after losing a few million gp to a scamming friend. It is the only reason why I even have 99 Magic to this very day...

Snow & Snow Days
I was out of school Tuesday and Wednesday (today). The temperature went below freezing and it sleeted on Tuesday. The roads were still a little icy today, so the school district still shut down. Now I have to go back to school tomorrow and do all of my semester finals in one day, rather than the usual week of testing. Oh well. :P Makes the class period go by faster in my opinion. Plus I have one test the first thing in the morning on Friday, and I can get checked out of school after the first period is over (with the test). Although I might stay because we're supposed to have a Christmas party in my English class and we're doing fun labs in my chemistry class. (We're making slime and maybe Christmas ornaments.)

"What's that, sandvich? Kill them all? Good idea!"
Nice siggy with penises drawn all over it. God told the man to hit her with the sandwich, although the punch wasn't part of His divine Plan. There's a reason for everything.

Father named child Adolf Hitler, and asks for tolerance
I just lost the game. I think these people are a little too obsessed with German history, especially what happened between 1939 and 1945. I wonder if this guy has double lightning bolts tattooed on his arm...

Dragon: Whats next?
Instead of saying "That was your last one!" it would say "Nice going, dumb [wagon]. That one was worth 30m!"

Weekly Poll: What do you wear?
I do Runescape in style. -Magic cape(t) -Achievement Diary Armour -Santa Costume -Ringmaster Costume -Nurse Hat -Sailor's Hat etc. Ever since I spent 35-40m into my POH and other skills (all of my cash value) I've had to adapt to playing Runescape with nearly no money. A few hundred thousand coins can now last me a while if I know what I'm doing. At least I also have a lavish house decorated with gilded furnature, 24 rooms, scrying pool, large dungeon, top notch workshop, gilded altar, etc.

Aviansies....What happened?
They probably didn't nerf them, although I haven't been on an Aviansie trip in months. Supposedly, they nerfed them then and the drops were supposedly lower. This rumor was what turned me off to Aviansies. However, I doubt that they nerfed them because even with the rumored drop rate changes, I still made a decent amount of cash from the alchs and bars.

Alternate Experience Bonuses ~ Summoning
Lately, I've had an idea how to train summoning. I started at level 47 summoning and then got every possible experience bonus that I could, and then I spent the experience on summoning. This has given me 56 summoning. I've used quest experience, lamps, and penguin points to gain about 10 summoning levels in a couple weeks. True, this is slower than charm hunting, but I'm more of a casual trainer anyway. Plus, it motivates me to do more quests and other things while training summoning at the same time. As previously stated, I have done quests, penguin points, and received experience lamps for the summoning experience. I have done most of the achievement diaries up to Varrock (Medium), Lumbridge (Hard), Falador (Medium), Fremennik (Medium), and Karamja (Easy). I have also done 2 weeks of Penguin Hide and Seek, which was worth about ~20k experience. I have also done several quests that gave experience rewards (such as Contact!). To cut to the chase, I need to know other alternate avenues that will gain me summoning experience, besides charms. List of Possible Alt. Avenues: - Lumbridge Jobs -Tasks from Wise Old Man I know that the Wise Old Man (after doing Swan Song) is supposed to assign small tasks and give rewards, including experience; however, I'm not sure how often the experience is given as a reward and how much. Various NPCs around Lumbridge can assign small tasks depending on how experienced you are; however, I do not know if they award experience at all. Any other ideas (and confirmations) are appreciated! :) Note: I am aware that rock lobsters and waterfiends are good sources for charms, with minimal time spent acquiring them. However, I prefer training summoning in an alternative way. I do not expect to get 99 or any specific level; I'm merely doing this for fun and long-term benefits. My main focus right now is questing. Thank you.

WARNING: scam site will steal your account [UPDATE]
I've never been scammed out of my account before, but I have had a few close calls. Once, I was alching to 99 magic and all of a sudden, Norton pops up and asks if I should allow something to pass through my firewall. It said it was low risk and was called an Xmas Scan or whatever. Anyway, I clicked NO and hopped worlds. I only received this message while I was on Swedish servers. No other windows were open. After every incident, I ran a scan. This isn't really a close call, but some jack [wagon] have PMed me before asking me for my password (had a fake JMod name). I told them to go suck my [bleep] after I reported them and then I put them on ignore. On another site (not any gaming site) I received a PM, asking me to donate to the Nigerian prince or some BS like that.

Internet is serious business
Or the FBI will show up at my door with needles and a white coat. ...Or two hot women show up at your doorstep in nurse uniforms and slowly wrap you up in a straight jacket, blow you a kiss, and then give you a shot in the [wagon]. You wake up and say "Where am I?!?" ... and find yourself in a white, padded room with a rubber ducky named Bob.

Got any runescape rumors with humor?
Armour trimming.... Lose all banked items if you are skulled and die... Christmas baubles sell for a lot of money... Zezima is really a macro... Jagex has a conspiracy against their players (bans and mutes)... RuneScape is dead... Falador Guards attack trespassers... (Scared the hell out of me as a newbie.) The usual. There has only been one rumor that turned out to be true: raw herring + tree Oh. When I first joined Runescape, as a free player, I thought that people who wore adamant and rune armor were gods. Then I got owned by a unicorn and White Knight after getting lost between Lumbridge and Draynor Village and ending up in Falador.
