  1. If you pause the video of the airplane crashing into the World Trade Center (at the part with the smoke, the dust, and the debris) you can see a faint outline of George W. Bush's face. I need not show you the evidence, since you can't prove that it wasn't an inside job (and the fact that any "evidence" that you produce can be dismissed as fabrication) SarcasmCall me crazy if you want to, but I'm right and you're wrong.Sarcasm
  2. This election, I'm rooting for Obama. McCain doesn't seem any different from George W. Bush, in my opinion, and McCain doesn't promote human rights. He has said clearly that he would oppose any legislation that would grant the right to gay marriage and any anti-hate crime laws that are inclusive of anything pertaining to the LGBT community. (An anti-hate crime law that is inclusive of homosexuals, bisexuals, and the transgender community would make it a punishable crime to commit any violence and discrimination against an LGBT. Some think it would "violate" freedom of speech -i.e. bashing gays due to "religious reasoning"- but really all this would do is give people who are sexual minorities a sound mind when they go to sleep every night or even a sound mind at work/school, and would make sure that all states and local governments actually prosecute a crime that was motivated by anti-LGBT hatred. Sadly, the nation is pretty much split down the middle. About half have anti-hate legislation with inclusive language protecting people for their sexual orientation. The other half have no legislation protecting sexual minorities. Furthermore, only a very few amount of states in the half that protect people of sexual orientation actually protect transgendered individuals. (transsexuals/intersexed individuals, bi-gendered, "genderqueer," cross-dressers, etc.) Radical Conservatives (mainly Evangelical Christians) are trying to fight against laws that would protect the inalienable rights of human-beings to have equality; this would of course include gay marriage and anti-hate crime laws. A recent example of an anti-hate crime legislation would be the Matthew Sheppard Act. Matthew Sheppard was a gay college student who was beaten severely by bigots, all because of his sexual orientation. He died in the hospital due to his injuries. The Matthew Sheppard Act would protect people based on sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, and expression; of course the currently existing anti-hate laws based on religion, race, and national origin would remain intact. This Bill passed the Democratic House and Senate in late 2007 and George W. Bush threatened to veto it. Nine Republicans supported the Bill. John McCain refused to vote on it. In order to protect the Bill, they attached it to a proposal of funding more money into the war in Iraq. I do not know the status of the Matthew Sheppard Act, but I fear it has already been vetoed out of spite by yours truely, President Bush.) Also, why should I vote Republican? They criticize Democrats for not having a "good enough" plan to execute their promises, yet the Republicans had a perfect opportunity earlier on in the decade to pass anti-abortion legislation; however, they never did it. In my opinion, the Democrats do make an honest effort to carry out their promises. Also, the conservatives seem against human rights (as relates to LGBT community and feminist ideals); they claim to be "pro-life" yet many of them also revel in the idea of the death penalty. Nothing pro-life about it; it's just terminology to gain emotional appeal and nothing more. I also believe that the conservatives are biased towards religion, especially Christianity. I, for one, support the separation of church and state. Also I'm staunchly against the death penalty, as I see no ultimate justified reason for it. It still violates human rights and many innocents are murdered due to executions and unfair trial. I can understand the emotional dilemma of the people involved who lost their loved one(s) due to a killer, but vengeance was (and still is) not the proper answer. It's easy to just convict someone of a terrible crime and then finalize everything by executing the individual; however, there's no guarantee that the person wasn't innocent and that the real perpetrator is still on the streets, murdering as we speak. I also think a pro-choice stance is the best answer to a very hard subject. Who are we to decide what's right and not right for a pregnant individual? We don't know how that person got pregnant. It's definitely not right to force a birth on an individual. Let's no forget the USA PATRIOT Act, which infringes on basic human rights. A person may be monitored without cause and a non-citizen may be arrested without cause. It violates the Constitutional and International policy on Freedom of Privacy. Also, did anyone hear about when the nominees went to a big church to debate each other in order to appeal to the Evangelical community? It's sad that that even happened. Religion should not be a determining factor in politics, especially since many Evangelicals are radicals. Radical Religion + Politics = Dangerous Theocratic Nation Oh and by the way, I'll probably get flamed for this post by some radicals. Hey, I dare you to flame it. You won't accomplish "teaching a lesson/converting that damned godless Secularist" and your post may end up being reported, depending on the severity. I've already got forced into a debate by a religious radical at my school this week. She lost. (Of course she said she "won," probably do to the fact that it was like a twenty person-on-one debate -with me being the one- and that she threatened me, got in my face and screamed, and had many people throwing things at me.)
  3. I actually made up a creation myth involving December 2012. In my creation myth (did it for a project in English) the material universe was created and the Earth was made. Then mankind came into existence through evolution and then they gained a lot of knowledge. Eventually they waged World War III and used nukes and most of the population died. The souls of the dead chose to either go to Heaven or reincarnate as humans, in the New World. The WWIII happened in December 2012 and the world was damaged and plunged into nuclear winter. In January 1, 2013, the New World was begun and the survivors (the Remnant) were given the responsibility to repopulate the Earth and restore mankind. In this new age, there will exist no suffering. Illness, Plagues, War, Hate, Unhappiness cease to exist. Eventually humans would become perfect and godlike and would evolve into spiritual beings and shed their fleshly bodies and become one with the universe. Then the Universe would die and reincarnate and then everything will start over again. I mixed a lot of religious inspiration into it and some science into it. Was interesting. Story was called 2013: Genesis. The story was divided among 4 eras: First Age: Creation of the cosmos and Earth Second Age (part A): Appearance of First Humans Second Age (part B): Human Knowledge and the Last War Third Age: Utopian Society on Earth, New Dawn Fourth Age: The Unification and Destruction of the Universe I have an interesting imagination, huh? If I find the story, I'll post it for anyone who wants to read it.
  4. I used Norton Anti-Virus, but it's expired and used Ad-Aware. When trying to update a year's worth of definitions, it wouldn't download from server.
  5. I went to some thing about Billy Mays... Anyway I restarted and when I opened IE6 (browser) it said it had a problem with an add-on and kept shutting down. When reading about what that add-on could do, it said it could make IE close by itself if it was a poorly-made add-on. I disabled it and now I can get on IE. As far as the pop-ups, haven't gotten any yet, but I imagine they'll come. They even show up on the desktop when all browsers are closed. :wall:
  6. I went to a humor site called Encyclopedia Dramatica. Popups started flooding screen and I had to run adware/spyware scans. I deleted a lot of adware, but popups pop up every now and then, even with filter on highest setting. Browser windows close by themselves and I don't know what to do. Norton isn't finding any virus and as I wrote the original thread of this topic, the browser freakin closed on me again. Any help?
  7. Link please? [link removed] That's actually a viral/spyware infected site. I visited the page and then popups literally flooded my window, which is unusual because I have pop-up blockers already and all they did was install more spyware. Also I suspect there's a virus because now my windows keep closing for no reason. Remove it. NO ONE VISIT THE SITE.
  8. Kind of ironic the kiddos on here would complain about the evil-kids-from-4chan-who-hate-runescape ruining the Tip.It logo, then the same kids that complain go and try to mess up the competititor's work. Anyway instead of helping out on the logo, I'm just checking up every now and then and then fixing up the Donald Ducks. lol (BTW I gave the Donald Duck with the rocket launcher some violet anime eyes and a jagged haircut and then put the tears on it and then the angry thing on the side of its head. So much fun. Anyways nice site but I don't feel any urge to really help at all, except maybe touch up here and there and make the letters more visible. Anyway kind of like "meh" about the whole TIF ruining the Donald Duck type thing. It took me like an hour to draw and color the eyes and shade them properly, but I honestly don't care since the whole objective is like a game. It's fun, and anyone who complains about their artwork getting ruined really needs to get over it. I actually find it amusing that people change the letters on RUNE TIPS around and make them say RUNE HIPS or "I am Inigo Montoya. You killed my father, prepare to DIE!" Really lighten up, guys and really it's just all fun and games. It's not like the site needs to have their logo on Drawball to get people interested in joining the forums anyway.)

I wore a $150 dollar NORMAL outfit as opposed to the standard $20 school uniforms I've had to wear at my other school today. I began school today and met a lot of amazing people. I had no friends going into this school, but now have a lot of potential friends. I had a major boost of self-esteem today because of my outfit because this new school is awesome and has no school uniforms. I got to tell my classmates a little about myself and get them to know me and let me get to know them. All my teachers were nice. At lunch I tried to talk to a short 9th grader that looks like he's sad all the time. I can tell he gets bullied just by looking at his face - exactly how I was 5 years ago when I was bullied a lot. I tried talking to him but he wouldn't keep eye contact and he was about to start crying so he walked off and hung his head low.... Poor guy. Anyway I met a hot kid in my class. He sits right in front of me. So I'm lucky, doesn't seem like he's straight, but he also acts depressed and emo. Still cute though. Anyway we have an Italian foreign exchange student. So that's cool too. Anyway we have seven periods instead of 8 periods like my other school, but we are in school 5 minutes longer than my last school. Oh well at least it's fewer grades I have to maintain. I am looking forward to tomorrow. :)
  10. I thought last year you decided you were straight...? Um I've always been bi. If I ever said I was straight, it was because I was afraid people would flame me. Anyway I don't really care if they do or not cause they can't stop me from posting here. :o
  11. Anyway today I met a hot emo guy and he sits in front of me during English. He acts stereotypical because he's quiet and doesn't talk much and he acts real sad, but he's cute. Anyway skinny legs, skinny arms, skinny torso, long black hair in an emo cut, tight shirt, tight skinny jeans, studded belt, etc. Oh and by the way my new school has three kinds of people: prep, emo, and goth. I'm pretty sure you emo haters would kill yourselves just by going to my school. Anyway plenty of game for me. ;) BTW, I showed up at school dressed like a prep. So yeah.
  12. It's a well-known fact that most Christian schools (especially Catholic) have ninja throwing stars in the shape of crosses. Either that or they just use rulers to break your knuckles or whatever. Those are weapons, too, y'know. They're cheap, but deadly. Would you rather have a teacher fire a gun in class, which could possibly kill you instantly or just give a flesh wound? OR would you rather be sliced and diced by ninja throwing stars and have a definite bloody, slow death, or possibly just be burned at the stake?
  13. By the way did anyone hear about Russia announcing it would move out of Georgia, but some troops are moving towards the Georgian capital? The US government said that Russia was "playing dangerous games and should reconsider," but the US can't really do anything about it since they're sitting ducks if Russia and United States declare war. Anyway if anyone wants the article, I can give it. I'm just wondering if anyone else has seen it. I saw it on my AT&T homepage with news from Yahoo.

Depends. It would be idiotic in itself to ban people from an act of freedom of speech, and yes, flag burning is an act of freedom of speech. It's just speech without words, so to speak. If let's say there was a good president in the White House and he created equal rights for everyone, such as homosexuals, different races, different genders, etc. and some radical fundamentalist Christian decided to burn the flag, it would be a symbol of hatred. It would be homophobic, racist, sexist, etc, which I don't think it should be a right to be racist or homophobic.
  15. Let's not forget Blue Hippo! They give you free* computers. *Participation required.
  16. "Buy Esurance" And those annoying commercials about being injured in a car wreck, having mesothelioma, etc. They usually pick lawyers that they advertise that have this demonic grin on their faces. So freaking annoying. Oh and let's not forget those commercials that last hours on end just to advertise a single product... Infomercials FTL.
  17. The Obama Roll is cooler.

What would happen once they are debunked and people find out it's all a hoax? Would they get in trouble or what?
  19. I think the Netflix pop-up that I usually get, and occasionally will be spammed with are very annoying. Sometimes it'll open up as many as 3 of the same popups at once, and my popup blockers fail to block them. It's always the Netflix popup or some "download free *illegal* music" popup.
  20. I personally know someone that was engaged to a senior during their freshman year. I don't know if they're still together though. With all the drama associated with high school, I wouldn't doubt most of relationships are driven by angst and sex. Also people claim to "fall in love" with other people during their high school/junior high years, but usually that's after they've started dating for a few weeks... Seriously the teenage years are so hormone-driven, but there are certain exceptions. There are people who are "high school sweethearts" and they stay together for lifetime partnership, but that isn't very common.
  21. Okay, what about in the circumstance that an 18 year old and a 15 year old are in a longterm relationship. They've been dating for years, but have always been about 3 years apart. The really do love each other. They both are ready and willing to take it to the next level, sex. Do you think it's fair for the 18 year old to be charged with statutory rape and have his life ultimately ruined while the 15 year old has nothing done against her? The relationship is "barely illegal." The 15 year old will turn 16, which is the age of consent in her state, in a few months. Do you think it's really fair if they were both wanting it and then someone found out and the 18 year old gets prison time? Yes, people who manipulate others for sexual gratification are in the same class as rapists. I am not ignorant as to the fact that rape isn't always sexual assault, but can be manipulation as well. People can make grandiose promises, offer to give something in exchange for sex, and/or manipulate them by claiming to love that individual. It sadly happens oh so to often. What I was saying is that there ARE situations in which an underaged individual can give consent to an individual who is of age. I think it's stupid to say that it's impossible to give consent just because the law establishes an official "age of consent." I don't think it's fair that the person in the story I gave would be labeled as a pedophile/sex offender.
  22. The only "gapped" relationships I've had was between an 18 year old (I was 16) and another one when I was still 16 was between me and a 13 year old. The 13 year old was at a different level of maturity than me. She was much less mature, while I had the maturity of a full-grown adult. She had the maturity of a kid. Anyway I have no problems with age differences. I'm more liberal as to what is a legal or illegal relationship. I have no problems with 15 year olds or whatever dating adults, as long as consent is involved no manipulation is used. In my mind, there is nothing wrong with pedophilia (in and of itself - just the attraction to younger people), but there is something wrong with rape. I think the whole idea behind "statutory rape" is idiotic since it ignores the fact that a 15 year old can give consent to an 18 year old. I believe there should be "ages of consent" used as a safe-guard, but I don't think in statutory "rape" cases that the kid should be passed off as innocent and the adult as a sex offender. If anything, just fine them both as you would if the police catch underaged people having sex. Just a little fine, but don't ruin anyone's life unless it was actual rape, unconsentual. Anyway my grandmother was 60 years old and married to a man that was 20+ years older than her. He recently died from cancer, which is real sad. I never saw the relationship as strange at all. It was just true love.
  23. Three children were talking about their religions. "I'm a Catholic," said one, "And our symbol is the cross." "I'm Jewish," said the second, "And our symbol is the Star of David." The third child said, "I'm a Unitarian Universalist and our symbol is a candle in a cocktail glass!" A Unitarian Universalist dies, and on the way to the afterlife encounters a fork in the road with two options: "to heaven" and "to a discussion of heaven." Without pausing, the UU heads right to the discussion of heaven. I saw these jokes on a site somewhere. If you're not a UU, you most likely won't get them, but if you know anything about it, then you'd get the puns.
  24. Still even if they're a private organization, they aren't right for kicking out people just because they have different religious views or have a different sexual orientation. Since you live in Cali, I'd imagine they would be more tolerant there and perhaps a little more lax on the rules, but when I was going to Boy Scouts in Ft. Worth, they made a big fuss about people being gay and being in Scouts, or adult advisers being gay, etc. I was in cub scouts, so the children had less of an understanding about the topic then, so it wasn't really big. However, the older kids who were in Boy Scouts were stereotypically masculine and homophobic. It's really sad. Also I can understand they would only want people who believed in some sort of god in their organization, but religious organizations such as them also tend to be biased towards a certain religion and sometimes don't live by their code so they just kick out anyone who's not Christian or whatever. Agnostics are a different story. There are some who are theists, and some who are atheists, so it doesn't make sense to kick someone out just because they're agnostic. I'm part of a so called "religious organization promoting religious tolerance." When I got initiated they said all I had to do was believe in a deity of some sort, or at least what I understood to be God. A few weeks later they made a comment about how you have to believe in the Christian God, YHWH/Jehova, or you didn't truely believe in God. Thus, you were kicked out. I saw this as hypocritical and have lost respect for them. Also one of our adult advisers made a comment about we can't recruit Muslims anymore because they were dangerous and didn't believe in God or some BS like that.... I'm still in it because my dad makes me go, but when I'm 18 I'm just going to cease going to their meetings and then just forget about them. If Boy Scouts changed their attitude about people's sexual orientation, I would have no problem with them at all. If my Demolay chapter (what I just talked about) stopped being ignorant and hold true to their code, then I'd have no problem with them. I imagine in both cases the "friends" I met there were only my friends as long as I involved myself with their organizations. I'd imagine if I walked up to my friends from Boy Scouts, they would have nothing to do with me anymore. Likewise with Demolay if I just left it and then a few years later tried talking to a friend from it, he would not have anything to say to me anymore. EDIT: Rush, I agree with you. Perhaps it is different the further you go away from the South. I even remember something about they wouldn't hire a man if he wasn't married because they thought that usually meant you were gay or whatever.
  25. God I hate the Boy Scouts. -.- Their true motto is "Kickin' out the queers, Atheists, and those darn' people who can't decide if they believe in God or not." Someone needs to really put the Scouts in their place some day. They claim to be about helping others, yet they are the most intolerant organization for young people. Doesn't shock me though, since they're all extremely sexist. I used to be a Scout myself until I just got tired of their bull and then denounced them and disassociated with every single one of them.
