Smoking Kills
No, because you'd just need to do another 5 tasks before you get the bonus, and you'd miss out on the 50 task bonus. Don't worry, you get a bonus at every multiple of 10. Cool. The slayer masters said 10 and 50, so I didn't realize that it would be every 10. So on my 20th task, I'll have my bonus again?

Smoking Kills
I have done 14 tasks and received 165 points. My 10th task bonus was with Duradel and I received 75 points. Anyway, instead of waiting for the 50th task, could I just reset the counter by going to Turael and starting the 10 count over again? Would this be faster?

Haunted Mine
For the Salve Amulet(e), you have to do Tarn's Lair miniquest. Just do a search on Tip.it for the miniquest guide. I'm not sure about the Haunted Mine fight though. I haven't bothered with it because it looks like a pain in the [wagon].

Smoking Kills
Can I just Mazchna the next few tasks even though I just did 2 tasks with Chaeldar? Then from on after, can I use Chaeldar and Duradel (for bonus)?

Smoking Kills
So points after the first 5 tasks and then bonus for 10th and 50th? Then it gives a 5 task penalty if you Turael it?

Smoking Kills
I just did my first Chaeldar task after Smoking Kills and I received 0 points. It was a kalphite task. Why? Anyway I'm about to do a fever spider task and hopefully start earning points.

Smoking Kills
I did the quest, and I almost died at the end. Turns out that the Pollnivneach Dungeon made me lag out a few times. Also I was being stubborn and didn't pray range when the Insectoid Assassins started attacking, I just prayed mage. The Banshee Mistress was easy to kill though. Time to do some more slaying and hopefully get that Slayer Helm soon. The points never go down as long as I don't spend them, correct? I sometimes might change a task and don't mind the 5 task penalty. I have been using Chaeldar for 48-57 slayer. I might keep using him/her/whatever it is.

Smoking Kills
Thanks, Trip. I am now wondering whether or not I should just do another slayer task so I can get 56 slayer for Path of Glouphrie. I don't think the 10 points I could have earned if I did the quest first would really make a difference. I use Chaeldar for slayer by the way.

Smoking Kills
Hi. I'm planning to do the quest, but I am not sure what equipment/inventory to use for the fights in the quest. What attack should I use? What prayers should I use? My stats: 77 attack, 88 strength, 78 defence, 70 prayer, 73 ranged, 81 HP, 99 magic, 62 summoning. I also have: A whip, slayer's staff, rune defender, neitz helm, rune platebody and legs, fremennik sea boots 2, barrows gloves, barrelchest anchor, and crystal bow 6/10. Thanks in advance.

A new shield
Yeah, but most people don't use crystal equipment enough to get the price down to 150k/recharge. Even at 150k/recharge, that adds up quickly and a non-degradable shield item is cheaper and can be at around the same stats. Not to mention that you have to pay well over 2M in order to even get the price down to 150k / recharge.

Money and Summoning question
Fishing monkfish at the Piscatoris Colony and selling them on the GE raw is a pretty decent money-maker, and it also gives nice fishing experience. MTK is good if you are doing it as a side thing, but not as a primary source of income. You could also try: -Barrows -Aviansies -Farming (herbs in particular) -Buy items from NPCs and sell on GE for much higher price (Vyrewatch clothes, climbing boots, etc.) -Runecrafting There are many things you could try. Personally I just fish monkfish when I need a bulk of cash, but I also MTK daily, pick coconuts from my trees and make the coconut milk, pick poison ivy berries, and this other thing.

A new shield
I was wrong about the rune defender being extremely hard to get. I just spent about ~2K tokens that I gathered by killing animated mithril armour and got the bronze defender in about 500 tokens, then I got the rest of the defenders with the remainder. I used a ring of wealth the entire time. The rune defender is also extremely useful for me because it increases accuracy, has a good strength bonus, and at least has about a +20 melee defence bonus. It's worth it.

Was a joke. Hehe :P

Personally I believe that the newly uncensored curse words are a hint that Sailing is coming. "Curse like a sailor."

Smithing or Construction?
Get 80 construction if your house sucks and you want a good one. It'll cost millions more than smithing if you want to add nice stuff to your house to show off or use.

A new shield
I'm an unlucky guy I guess. I've gathered about 1000 tokens each run and have spoken to the lady and she said that she will make the cyclopes drop the bronze defender. I kept killing them and running around the room to kill them, but I always get adamant swords, black knives, and other junk. I would love to have a rune defender though, but I just can't get one.

A new shield
Spirit Shield = You have to do Summer's End to wield. I hope you can keep your sanity if you attempt this quest. Rune Defender = Solely based on luck. Some people (like me) have spent 1000s of tokens and have done everything right, but still we cannot even get a bronze defender. TzTok-Ket-Dil = Meh. It's okay for low-medium players. +5 str bonus is nice. Dragon Sq Shield = Was hard to sell last time I checked. However, it has some pretty good stats. Doesn't look too bad either. Unholy Book = Zamorak prayer book. Gives a nice +8 to your offensive stats, but +0 to defense stats. Useful for accuracy though, glitchy graphics. Granite Shield = Heavy as hell. Only use one if you are a tanker looking for a cheap shield with crush defense. Crystal Shield = Not worth the hassle. You'll regret crystal equipment because once you use once, there's no turning back. Non-alchable as well. Holy Book = Saradomin prayer book. +8 defence stats. Nothing really to say. Dragonfire Shield = Kick [wagon]. It's rather expensive and costs around 16M GE price. Those are the top shield items that I can think of. I would personally stick with my dragon sq because it's too much of a hassle if the shield won't even sell on min. The stats are already pretty good and the shield has a nice color.

My Ranarr lameness?
Or you could just log out for a while and log back in to check on your herbs. That's how I did farming. Just mess around on Youtube or something. Don't bore yourself to death by doing something else in the game and then checking your herb patches every 10 minutes... It's best to just supercompost all your herbs and log off. You'll lose some though, but as you get more farming levels, you will lose almost none to disease. Make sure you only harvest while wielding magic secateurs or your profit is crap. I also suggest that you plant avantoe instead of snapdragon because the avantoe only costs like 100-200GP ea and sells 1.5k ea herb... I harvest 6-11 herbs per patch and make a good profit. Just my two cents' worth. EDIT: If you want to make profit with farming, also try palm trees. You are level 65 farming and the requirement is 68, but you can just use garden pies for the +3 boost. A palm tree will cost around 100k to plant (also includes the payment for farmer to watch it), but you can get 6-7 coconuts per tree and then use a hammer on them and use the broken coconuts on empty vials to fill them with coconut milk. Coconut milk sells 1.2k each on the GE and you can sell them overnight usually, or within a few hours of putting them on the GE. Also when you get within potting range of 70 farming, plant poison ivy bushes and harvest them throughout the day and sell them on the GE for 900 each. Also, marigolds sell 3k each still and can grow under 30 minutes. Plant all of them and maybe use some compost or supercompost to guarantee that they all survive. You can also plant a cactus in Al Kharid and wait 5 hours for it to grow. After the 5 or so hours, you can get unlimited cactus spines from it and sell them for about 8k for all 3 per harvest. An additional thing to farming that you could do is do Throne of Miscellania and Royal Trouble. Chop maple logs to get 100% favor and then put about 830k into your coffers and then just top it off at 75k each day before you go to bed or whenever you want. Put 10 workers on raw fish and 5 workers on mining. (You could put 5 on maples and get 4 nests a day and just get the seeds from the nests, but those aren't reliable at all.)

Newly uncensored word list
You're right. America only beat Britain due to the help of the French. In the final major battle of the American Revolution, General Washington almost surrendered to Cornwallis, but the French arrived at the right time and blockaded the British from the sea. Cornwallis decided to surrender and Washington promised a special ceremony. It was originally intended to be a respectful ceremony and "The World Turned Upside Down" was played. However, Marquis de Lafayette and some soldiers appeared and crashed the ceremony by playing Yankee Doodle Dandy, which was a British tune that mocked the Americans by saying that they were all weak and effeminate. The song was played by Lafayette (who was one of Washington's top allies) to mock the British by saying that weak and effeminate men overthrew the King. Anyway, this information was gathered from taking an AP US American history course in the United States. Even they admit that America barely won, and they would've lost for sure if they continued to fight alone. (By the way, how is this relevant? :? )

Now watch this turn out to be a "big break" for us players before Runescape is sold over to Walt Disney. :ohnoes: Anyway I was joking, but this does seem like Jagex is trying to compromise.

:: tripsis :: 99 Woodcutting!
Trip, if you are going to train summoning, you should try out penguin points. I went from 47-60 summoning with penguin points alone and it didn't take too long. There was no combat involved. Just go to world 60 and join either riods2525 or riods2020 clan chat. Then just wait until people start giving out the locations of the penguins. Find them all (follow the people if you aren't sure) and then click on the penguins to spy on them. There are 10 each week that you can find. Optionally, you could also get magic gear and a lot of runes for ice burst spells, then go to (Waterbirth Isle) the rock lobsters and run by a lot of them until they all attack you. Run back to the entrance behind a rock and then wait for them to pile up. When they pile up, start ice bursting them. This is supposed to be a very easy (though expensive) way to train summoning very quickly. I've heard estimates of about 700-1000 crimson charms each day from this method. Hope that helps! :

Big mining and RC updates soon?!
To whoever is saying that this is a hint to sailing, you are off by a mile. Obviously summoning will be used to summon a ship, but we will have to repair it with the woodcutting, fletching, construction, and smithing skills. Then we'll have to hunt Haunted Cannons and then attach them to the ships. Then we use our magic skill to enchant the cannons to fire Rune Essence Cannonballs. We use our runecrafting skill to create the RE Cannonballs and then use them in the cannons to fire. After we are seaworthy, we must use our fishing skill to move the dead fish from naval battles out of the way, and we also use our farming skill to harvest giant kelp that can entangle the ships. Not only that, but we also use our slayer skill to fight off Kraken random events. Finally we have to use our agility skill in order to climb aboard our ships in the first place. Very nice find.

Bad word choice by Jagex?
OT: I hear a lot of black kids where I live comment that Barack Obama isn't black enough, that he's only HALF black. So apparently they're still complaining about not having a black president. Then the ones that say he IS good enough go around and push others around in a taunting manner. On-Topic: I thought that the people on RSOF were just making fun of the word 'niggle' because it sounded funny? I didn't realize there was actually a huge rant on the forums that made Jagex change the word out of fear of a lawsuit. This is pretty ridiculous. I made a thread in Varrock Library that kind of makes fun of the whole situation. Niggles... hehe :P
