  1. I would be interested in reading that.
  2. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/37556750/ns/technology_and_science-science/?GT1=43001 I was reading some headlines on MSN this morning and came across this. Since teleportation is possible, do you believe that it will eventually be adapted into being able to transport people in the same way as Star Trek? How do you see this technology being used 50 years from now?

  4. I'm not sure what you're talking about.
  5. It's not letting me in. I get this message: ERROR: Invalid version. Client:1.3.b68 Server:1.3.b63
  6. Don't hovercrafts already exist? I'm pretty sure the Navy has one that can go way higher than that, although I think that it uses fans to propel itself.
  7. Plus, information from a user named "ISREAL" isn't necessarily the most objective information that you'll receive concerning Israel. Of course he would say that Israel is the good guy.
  8. Neither.
  9. Personally, I'm an agnostic. I believe that there's always the possibility of a supreme being, but we cannot prove nor disprove its existence. If I did believe in God, I would be a Deist - someone who believes that a supreme being created the universe and then left everything to run itself.
  10. Yep, that perfectly describes me.
  11. Je l'aime! :) Why is it in French, though?
  12. Downloaded. Thanks! :)
  13. I agree. The first picture would be better if the object in focus would have been crisper, but it's still pretty decent. The second picture is decent as well, but it's nothing particularly special. The third picture is really good and could probably be adapted into some sort of banner on a web page. Of course, the final picture is AMAZING! :) Keep up the good work. :)
  14. i don't see americans moving out to give it back to the native americans. Sure, when you move out of Canada back to whatever homeland your ancestors came from. Then again, your ancestors probably took that homeland from another ethnic group in Europe. Honestly, Zionism has nothing to do with the colonists/Americans conquering Native American land. The former claims that they have a right because of the Holocaust and Nazi Germany in order to create their own homeland in the Middle East. Likewise, you're comparing something that happened 150+ years ago to something that's happening right now. EDIT: Since you insist, perhaps you can cover my moving expenses so I can move back to my ancestors' homeland: England.
  15. This isn't even considering the fact that Jews are a very small minority in that region. It's not fair that they get that much land. The whole Zionist issue reeks of Lebensraum. When you think about it, there are quite a bit of similarities between Zionism and National Socialism.
  16. As a disclaimer, I'm not here to question the British governmental system. In fact, from what I have observed about it, it seems to work quite well for Britain. Personally, I believe that Constitutional Monarchy and a Republic both have their advantages (honestly, they rate about the same on a scale of "freedom"), but I'm primarily interested in the republican versus royalist debate. Honestly, I don't want this to end up erupting into an American versus Britisher flame war.
  17. I'm not talking about the Republican Party. I'm talking about republicanism as a form of government: representatives chosen by citizens. Republicans would be anti-monarchists. An example of republican movements would be the American and Irish revolutions. I'm not saying that all republicans are revolutionaries, but the majority would certainly harbor sympathies toward both aforementioned movements. Believe it or not, but there are/have been British republicans (an example of which is Thomas Paine), although they're in the minority. I just want to hear from anyone that knows any such people or actually is a republican himself. It would be interesting to hear their opinions.
  18. Hey, do we have any republicans from Britain here? I know this is a bit random for a topic, but I thought that it might be interesting to hear from any British republicans. Irish republicans are welcome as well. Also, please explain why you're a republican and when you began to harbor such sentiments. Thanks.
  19. Corps is a military term though. Corporation is what you're looking for. -------------------- Britain hails the rise of a new corporate state, which means that there are only two corporate states in the world now. Anywho, the Chaplain Corps of the Greater Britain military has been nicknamed the 'God Squad'. The name has now stuck.
  20. This was the first major shooting in what? 12 years? I honestly fail to see how this could be used as an excuse to pass stricter gun laws; it wouldn't help much. This is an isolated incident, and there will be more isolated incidents. Hell, they don't even have to use a gun. They could use cricket bats and kitchen knives. Should those be banned as well? They kill people. I don't understand British gun laws, but whatever.
  21. Censor evasion would just be manipulating a word that would otherwise be censored so that it is at least easily recognizable (e.g. changing a vowel so the censor doesn't catch the word, etc.)
  22. A 'C' is one letter grade up from a failing grade in most places...
  23. To be fair, I'm a horrible francophone. At least Dusty lives in Quebec.
  24. Project Underground has been expanded.
  25. I believe that I worked out a deal with Grim in the past where I would use the oil extraction technology that I received from conquering America on his tar sands. It doesn't really matter anyway. The Age of Petroleum is over, although Britain still uses what little oil is left for the military. The British Vehicle Industry has been using hydrogen fuel cell technology, although the cars are widely only sold in Britain. Britain's self-sustaining, so imports from other countries have been drastically reduced. Most trade remains with Europe. Here's a little information about the Legislature (since I haven't stated already): -The House of Commons has been reduced. The number of seats equal the number of counties in Britain: 125 (including Faroe, the 125th county). -The House of Lords has been replaced with the House of Executives. -The House of Executives consists of heads of the major British industries, clerics, and delegates from any colonies. Also, that thing that I've been discussing with Archi has started. Archi knows what I'm talking about because I'm telling him right now. I'm gonna be on a break for a little while.
