8.8-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Chile
There was also a major earthquake in Taiwan (6.4). I haven't seen any discussion about it, so I thought that I would post it here.

New Game Poll
You just choose a faction, and we go on from there. We need to make a map with all of the major human colonies on it. The only bad thing that I can foresee is if people choose colonies that are far apart, which would limit player interaction for a long time. Factions are the Communist Hegemony and the American Empire. The Communist Hegemony would primarily be based in Asia, Africa, and a lot of Europe (excluding possibly the British Isles, France, Spain, and Portugal). The American Empire would include the rest of Europe, Oceania, and all of the Americas.

New Game Poll
That is so win. Is this closer to Dungeoneering, without all the experience gaining? I would definitely join this. It's a lot like Dungeoneering (as far as events and stuff). It also has some Hegemony aspects (but this isn't very dominant, really). It, probably above all, has aspects of the Zombie HQ/Survival game. I haven't thought about skills. It sounds like a good idea, and I'll see what I can do with it. It's more of an exploration game. There's a lot of ideas that can come out of it.

New Game Poll
Name: Children of the Apocalypse Setting: Post-Cold War Historical Information: On 26 September 1983, a Soviet early warning station under the command of Stanislav Petrov falsely detected 5 inbound intercontinental ballistic missiles from the US. Petrov incorrectly assessed the situation as a state of emergency, and reported his finding to his superiors. Because Soviet policy dictated immediate nuclear response to inbound ballistics missiles, nuclear weapons were launched at the United States, thus initiating the Third World War. The War lasted for two years. Millions died from the invading armies and the nuclear explosions, as well as the fallout that ensued. After the United States and the Soviet Union declared Victory (in fact, many historians believe that there were no victors), the war was concluded. Much of Eurasia and Africa fell under Soviet and Chinese influence (creating the Communist Hegemony), and the Americas, Oceania, and the rest of Europe fell under the command of the new American Empire. Despite these gains, huge swathes of the world were reduced to Wastelands. Objective: You must choose a faction and recall your journey as you either explore the Wastelands or try to survive in a human colony. ^That was my idea that Archi was talking about in the poll.

How low are dragon claws supposed to go over time? I want a pair, but I don't want to sell my Staff of Light. I just noticed that claws are like 27 mil now. O.O

Apparently, our days got shorter now :O :P!
Didn't Taiwan just experience a 6.4 magnitude earthquake? Doesn't it seem that we're having more earthquakes than normal, or am I just paranoid? It seems that we have major earthquakes within a year of each other, and in the 20th century, we had major earthquakes about 10-30 years apart from each other... Could some climate change be causing this?

The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
Well, I warned you guys about using certain stuff, and I was largely ignored... Anyway, I am working on a new thread that will combine the Zombie Apocalypse RPG with elements of Dungeoneering and Hegemony. Archi thinks that it would be a very good idea, but I don't want to handle it on my own, so I need someone that can actually help (like how Ross helps Archi with Dungeoneering). There will be a poll tomorrow in order to gauge how interested people are. Likewise, I will keep this thread open for a bit longer just in case. EDIT: I tried to start up Kingdoms without the chess-style gameplay. It's still open, IF people are interested. If you read the last pages, it shows how the new idea for the game would work. Read it.

The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
The RFG system was already taken out of orbit, Archi... Okay, here's my final ruling on the matter, just to make it clear. The bombings never happened. Things are status quo, although the Japanese Emperor was executed because the order was given to the military (and not carried out), and the people got tired of him. Here's a decree: No one may try to annex Japan for a certain amount of time (which is at my discretion). Japan still exists, and it has a peaceful government. Nations part of the old Japanese empire are being given independence, although some may wish to remain part of Japan. With that said, I will discuss climate change and some issues with the US Dollar (considering that the USA no longer exists)... There may be some economic problems, so keep that in mind. @Retech: No problem.

The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
I don't suggest you do that. My downfall was a long way coming, since if this didn't probaly happen, something else probaly would've. Just enjoy the game. I do have another game that you might like. I'm just getting it through Archi first. Before it's launched, there will be a poll in order to see how interested people are.

The execution has already happened. A social democratic government is in place.

The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
I have reached my verdict. Nothing happened with the anthrax bombs. We already figured his attack in the past, and it never went through because his military simply ignored the order. With that said, a national revolution overtook the Japanese government, extradited the Emperor to a world court hearing, and the Emperor was turned over to the Japanese people for execution by hanging by the neck until dead. I would be in favor of a lower world population, but the anthrax bombings weren't really legitimate. If we do have some catastrophe, it needs to be from climate change. With that said, I am going to be doing something shortly (going through Archi first) that might be of interest to some people.
-
The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
Okay, I have a few options: 1) Since the attack wasn't legitimate, the attack never happened. We already did determine that the attack was ordered, but no one was willing to carry it out. Thus, it never happened, and the public found out about it. Likewise, the UN confiscated Japan's illegitimate weapons already. 2) We can play in a post-apocalyptic world where there's less than a billion people worldwide, which is something I wouldn't mind, but it would mean that Brazil and the nations of North America will become world powers... 3) We can just totally ignore everything since that's what happened when the Dollar crashed (both times), which is far more reasonable than, say, Japan getting hot-headed and destroying the world with anthrax. I'll let everyone decide that (which I think is option 3), but I'm leaning toward Option 3.

The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
I didn't try to destroy the thread. I just wasn't aware that anthrax actually spreads. I was under the impression that I was only blowing up three countries, the ones which I had...difficulties with, so I figured I might as well retaliate. Also, don't you think that a single flight of a stratos jet is feasible for a country that despite losing 99%+ of its population, still has stockpiles of things lying around to be used? There's a tankard of fuel here, some maintanance kits here, and some bioweapon stores here. Then you launch a secondary attack. And about no United States, I meant the Federation. Besides, if we're going to live in a post-apocalyptic world, then doesn't it make sense for everyone to be destroyed? Hopefully not Brazil though, since I went ahead and sent that vaccine over there. Well, we told you several times. You're just an idiot. As for the Federation, there is no such thing. It all fell apart. If we're going to live in a post-apocalyptic world? Everyone should be destroyed except Brazil? You just contradicted yourself. Seriously, Retech, you don't know how close you are from getting kicked off the thread. No one here really likes you that much (although we tolerate you to a certain extent), but I would rather lose you than have everyone get pissed off and leave because you just kicked everyone out. So, I'm going to have to stop this here and now... Actually, yeah, you're kicked off because you can't listen to anything that anyone says.
-
The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
There is no United States, you idiot. Anyway, I'm not letting you destroy the thread. Right now, Japan has reached its limit and has suffered severe population losses, so it would be highly unlikely for Japan to undergo any major military operations for a long time.

Likewise, all former United Federation states are trying to settle a dispute over who controls the Federation Lunar Exploratory and Research Center (FLERC) due to the United Federation splitting apart through civil war. Likewise, NASA launched a manned exploration to Mars two years ago with the idea of setting up a base on Mars; similar disputes are taking place. Some have proposed that the FLERC and the Mars Base become joint-operated by the Little League of Nations. There are some issues over who has the right to be on the Throne of England. Many propose that King William should remain on the throne, however.

Falklands Dispute
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/8544634.stm Argentina claims that it won't start up another war, but could this dispute end up with Argentina trying to take over the Falkland Islands, like they did in the 80s? The US has vowed to help the United Kingdom in this dispute, although the role isn't entirely clear. What are your views about the Falklands? Should they remain as a territory of Britain? Should Argentina get the Falkland Islands back? Most importantly, do you think that there will be another war?
