  2. Interesting but I find it's easier to simply click on "submit" as it's clearly visible to me when I'm typing.
  3. We got a snow day today. I'm bored as hell though. Ended up going out to the store to get some stuff and the roads aren't even bad but oh well. I guess I get to start winter break early :)
  4. That is correct.
  5. I've read some of the notes his assistant took. His trip sounded really intense haha.

Very few people seem to know what that means. But I guess they have a good reason to do things like molest children :-k Even in the worst themes, child molestation, murder etc. When saying its okay in the "okay in the right context". In the English language the "right context" part would define and dictate the connotation of that theme, even in the strangest or most impossible of themes, such as "beneficial child molestation". When saying its beneficial, it disregards any "opinions" you have and sets it in stone as "beneficial". So just replace beneficial with "the right context". So you're saying you believe these is a time when child molestation is beneficial? I understand what you're getting at, but if you say anything is fine when it's beneficial then it must be beneficial to be fine. If there is no time when child molestation is beneficial, then there's no time when it's fine. Correct?

  8. You sound surprised, there are heaps of Middle School children on here. ~Ouchy I thought Off Topic was growing up a bit, but I suppose we have our younger counterparts making their way here as they discover there's more to TIF than just Runescape :-k
  9. No, naps can be prolonged for as much as an hour and a half, you can sleep if with your girlfriend on occassion as a bonus sleep block, which is beneficial. I'm sure that's exactly what your gf wants. Only being able to sleep together on occasion. And hell, it for an entire hour! :D deloria, I don't want you posting irrelevant things to this discussion, until you can do that please, stop posting. What I was posting was completely relevant as you, the OP, brought it up. Please refrain from making such accusations. Also, I refuse to stop posting here as it is my right to post in any open discussion I choose to. Thank you. Please refrain from talking about other people's girlfriends in a thread about sleep. Please refrain from taking the topic astray and complaining when others follow your lead. And I would like to bring attention that my post was not only about girlfriends, but it also mentioned sleep. Thank you for fully reading my post before complaining about it.
  10. I'm generally known for how nice I am to people or that I take karate. Aside from that, I'm not really known for anything.
  11. Science fair? Somebody's still in middle school :?

  14. Those are some crazy times you've got there haha. It should take a max of a minute for crunches unless you're purposely doing them slowly and holding them. Same goes for push ups.
  15. Expecting something along the lines of 8 inches of snow and a half in of ice through the night and tomorrow. I wouldn't mind a snow day though it needs to clear up before Saturday. And I'm not even counting on it snowing as our local forecast has been nothing but wrong lately.
  16. No, 8 hours is the recommended minimum. It's higher when you're younger, levels off at 8 hours/night when you're in your "peak years" (as I like to call them), and raises slightly as you get older.
  17. This whole idea is going down the drain quicker than I imagined :
  18. What you need for a 6-pack: 12% body fat or lower, good ab muscles Basically you need plenty of cardio (try to hit 30 minutes of running every other day) and plenty of crunches, leg lifts, and other abdominal exercises. Make sure you have a healthy diet (don't cut your calories way down, just make sure you burn your calories) and you should be set. And as Reb said, don't focus on your goal, focus on individual workouts. Edit: I forgot to put emphasis on the 12% body fat or less. Basically, you can have amazing abs but that doesn't stop your stomach from having a nice layer of fat over those abs. I mean I have abs under my fat, I just don't have the initiative to start running. But also make you sure don't go below 6% body fat otherwise it starts to get bad on your heart.
  19. 1. If I were to take 20 minute nap, I would wake up feeling worse than not sleeping. 2. I fail to believe you can "train" yourself to immediately enter REM sleep. 3. It's proven that people need an average of 8 hours of sleep and more as you get older. Couple this is my disbelief of immediately entering REM sleep and I see long term problems.
  20. It's still not going to convert me to a believer. If you aren't willing to at least read it then I implore you to stop posting here. You dare accuse me of not reading it? I did read through the initial post and I skimmed over the the post about "Day 90". I still think it's a load of crap.
  21. It's still not going to convert me to a believer.
  22. This works, if you read the description in the hide tags you would see why, please read the whole thread. I fail to believe you can condition your body to immediately enter REM sleep. You may disagree, that's nice, its possible, however. Could you please site some testimonials? I'd rather hear from people who have done it than a single person claiming faith in this. Saying "its possible" is not going to make me even consider changing my mind.

  24. Considering the amount of time wasted by the average person at work, I don't think a few 20 minutes nap would hurt :P
  25. Sleeping in 20 minute periods does not allow you to fall into a deep sleep and you will not be getting the rest you need. This is just a big failure.
