Upcoming tattoo
I can't confirm it either since my tattoo is black/grey but I don't think color would hurt more. It would be just like shading (higher needle count than for linework) but with a different colored ink and I personally thought the shading was the easiest part of my tattoo as far as pain goes (though I felt very little overall). I have a colored tattoo and I can tell you from experience thee pain is not much worse if anymore noticeable at all. It really just depends on where the coloring is going, and if that part would irritate more. Yeah the line work is the most painful part. Once you get to shading it's a breeze. Oh yeah you might sweat a little too or at least I did lol. I didn't sweat at all during my tattoo, but I did bleed more than I expected lol :P This thread reminds me that I'm too poor to go get started on another tattoo :( lol

Should the US government bail out the Big 3?
I say we give them a little help. Maybe they won't make it but I don't mind as long as they're not giving their high end employees big end of the year bonuses with that money like some other company *hint hint*

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Move on, sir. These two statements instantly tell me there is no hope. I have a history of short relationships and I've found you have to really like someone to make it last, and last well.

What's you're political Idoligy
I agree with OP on most issues (though some not at all) and I'm almost embarrassed to do so just from his post. #-o

Upcoming tattoo
Yay! I'm always delighted to hear how your parents feel about current issues :D But seriously, I have a friend who was running for top higher end gov't office in my state and he has 3 tattoos. There are lawyers, business men, high end officials, etc with tattoos. Also, business men wear suits, not tuxedos. Your aging argument is invalid due to the sheer amount of times it's been used. I doubt people care that much about the appearance of their tattoo when their skin is sagging, their hair is nearly all gone, and their face is like leather from years well spent. I will agree there is a negative stereotype that goes along with tattoos but that is quickly fading and the people who will continue to tell you about said stereotype are the people who grew up when it was in full effect. These days people with visible tattoos still have a chance at getting jobs (though professional levels jobs most likely will require that tattoos be covered while at work). Everywhere I go these days I see people with tattoos in visible areas. You can't tell me such a large population is looked down apon if they continue to grow in such amazing numbers.

...at the minor expense of killing millions every year. There's also a downside to those millions living. Don't you think our planet it quite populated enough without saving millions of people to hang around longer?

Wouldn't it be nice if the gov't was just a bunch of nice people working together to better our country? Too bad they're not. And I wish I had saved an article I read some time ago about those anti-smoking ads and such. The article was about a study that showed those anti-smoking/alcohol/drug ads actually made more teenagers want to do said activities rather than deter them. If I was making money and knew something that looked good to the public would actually make me more money, I'd be throwing them around like crazy.

=D> Ladies and gentlemen, here is exactly what I was talking about. The gov't has drilled the idea of secondhand smoke being incredibly dangerous so many times that it actually appears to this young man to be a real issue. Sir, if you will please read what I posted earlier you will see secondhand smoke is not a danger to you unless you are in a confined room with a chain smoker or you purposely go around inhaling the smoke as other exhale it. But the problem with smoking in public is that it DOES affect others. The only bothersome thing I can see about cigarettes in public is the smell. But if that's the case I'd like to get rid of any car and smells bad when it runs as well as people who fail to keep up with their own basic hygienic needs.

The Minimum Wage
Just had to comment on this one bullet here. It is correct, it's not hard to get away from minimum wage. But say you get a raise of $0.25, you're magically no longer working at minimum wage. That extra $.25 amounts to very little and keeps you from being a minimum wage worker at the same time.

Marijuana, why isn't it legalized?
Congratulations. You just killed a major industry. Goodbye what's left of our economy. Don't worry, there's still porn. Only a fool still pays for that ;)

The Minimum Wage
This is an exaggeration rite? That's not an exaggeration at all. I've done a bit of the math for myself and it would be very difficult to get by on minimum wage.

I'm not opposed to people's right to smoke in private, or even in some cases in bars, but the fact is, people who do not smoke are affected by smokers on public land. If anybody honestly thinks walking past someone who is smoking or even being around a smoker for a few minutes has significantly increased their chance of getting lung cancer, the gov't is doing a damn good job of scaring people. Think about this: With one drag of a cigarette, the smoke has been filter by the filter on the cigarette, the smoker's lungs, and then is diluted once it is exhaled. If you breath in any of the smoke, it's incredibly insignificant in comparison to what has gone into the smoker's lungs. Also, if you're worried about a smoker 30 feet away from you poisoning your lungs, you should start protesting against big factories pollution the air. Imagine how much more damage their smoke is doing than that of a mere cigarette. I don't think smoking should be banned anywhere except for family establishments. I think the ban on smoking in bars and such places should be lifted. I'm also an ex-smoker and I really only quit because my gf doesn't like it.

Marijuana, why isn't it legalized?
1. There's a chance you may not get high your first time. You and your [developmentally delayed]ed friends got unlucky. My smoking buddy and I got blazed our first times. 2. Yahoo Answers is a joke. Get a credible source. 3. Please stop replying. We're not the ones looking like [wagon], that would be you. 4. Yes it blew up. You don't know how a forum works, do you? Arguments happen, get used to it kid.

You just lost any sort of credibility you might have had. Do your research kid.

Marijuana, why isn't it legalized?
Sir, you have not been on any forum long enough to know how they work. Just because the title says one thing does not mean that is what we're discussing. I can't imagine you've actually tried marijuana with the way you talk about it. I think you're lying to make your arguments seems more valid. Go smoke a bowl and report back. It was the same way for me. I guess marijuana was a sort of motivation to do better at things rather than becoming the stereotype.

Marijuana, why isn't it legalized?
You're just an idiot for doing that. And you've proved nothing short of that. If I had some, I'd gladly smoke up everyone in this thread and prove it doesn't make you stupid. At the same time, we'd all continue being smarter than you.

What do you do?(Where do you work? What is your occupation?)
any cool stories? :D -Last game some guy stole one of our traffic cones and began singing Kernkraft 400 by Zombie Nation into it. I let him keep the cone just because of the epic win. -One time we were sleeping in my friends car (night shift, we work hard) and a bunch of drunk guys came up and started knocking on the windows and wanted to get in. The catch? They were all dressed like women. :o -Some guy tried to give my supervisor a lesson in business management one time, though the guy admitted he had never been to school for anything regarding business. -My friend and I used to go watch the Iowa girls volleyball team practice before we clocked in. It's nice having access to the Carver Hawkeye Arena at any given point ;) -One time a guy was walking down Melrose Ave (directly in front of the football stadium) and he dropped his cooler and his beer went everywhere. At the exact same time, over 1000 people turned and watched his beer scatter. Then almost in sync, they started a big "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwww". It was amazing, and I felt the need to join in haha -My friend and I were sitting at our position during one game and my friend made a comment about how someone was dressed. I felt the need to one up him by pointing out the guy in a banana costume. (I've also seen people dressed as all kinds of thinking ranging from the Burger King to a goat-man) I'm sure I'll think of more but I've got to be going now ;)

TIFcon
Glad to see this wasn't entirely forgotten : I don't know how well it would work at the moment though. This was thought up in the "good days" of TIF (in my mind at least). :D
