Ouch. My friend messed his ankle up really bad over the summer skating. Not totally sure what he did but he can barely skate anymore, and that was kind of his passion.
  2. I've got a tattoo on my right shoulder already. I don't want anything on the other shoulder unless I decide I'm actually to do a tribal design that will run from my bicep, up my shoulder, and down my chest. I want the kanji somewhere I can see because it's a simple reminder. Also, when you're in the general public, a lot more people talk to you if they see you have tattoo. It's a great conversation starter, but I the corporate world has their own opinions.. :? Hah, that's totally going to be my opening statement when my parents freak out if I get those tattoos
  3. So I'm planning on getting my second (or second and third) tattoo when I turn 18 (which means I have a year left to plan). Basically, I'm going to get 2 lines of Chinese kanji (4 characters per line). One line will say "Never give up" and the other will say "Fear nothing". My original idea was to have them going down my left calf. No big deal, easy to cover and they'll rarely be seen (they'll also be small). But they're something I really want to be able to see. So for the past few days I've been been thinking maybe my wrists (underneath) would be a good place. I could always see them and that's what I want. But I have a problem.. How is that going to affect me getting a job after college? I want a professional job, but at the same time I'm sickened to think I'm going to be going off into a world where body art is looked down apon. I'm truely afraid 2 simple saying that I live by being permenantly on my wrists is going to cost me a shot at living a great life. I've been told be a couple of guys who have tattoos on their forearms that I would basically need to cover the tattoos during the interview, but what happens if I get the job, and suddenly I'm wearing a short sleeve shirt and my boss turns out to be one of those people who hates tattoos? I actually have a plan if I can't find a good steady job, but I don't want to have to go with that right away. I'm really going back and forth on this one.. Luckily I have a year to think about it.. So what do you guys think? Should I go through with it, get what I want to say to hell with anyone who doesn't like it? Or should I wait until I've got a steady just, then do it? Anyone here have any experience of trying to get a job with visible tattoos or know of any real troubles?
  4. I actually have trouble deciding how loud I want my music when I'm driving. I love my music loud, but I also love to hear the purr of my engine when the r/pm gets up there..
  5. So everyone seems to have their own preferences of how loud they like their music. Sometimes it's hard to ride in a car with someone else because of that.. So, how loud to you like your music? Personally, I like it cranked with the bass at max. By cranked, I don't mean all the way. I mean nearly all the way, but just low enough that the bass isn't constantly going. But still loud enough that someone yelling doesn't phase me..

^ I've never known a preppy kid to turn emo. Preppy kids are generally wealthy, wear designer clothes, have tons of friends, are generally athletic, and are generally upbeat and out going no matter how terrible things are. Maybe a skater or just a kid who doesn't fit in anywhere turns emo, fine. But preppy kids just don't go emo. No matter how bad things are at home they're popular and their social life is too amazing to go hide in a corner. Too many people would bother them..

Dude, caps lock off. It's above the left shift key and below the tab key. Careful though, it's also left of the A key.
  8. TELL AN ADULT!? What kind of school do you go to? Where I'm from you fight back and keep the fights away from school administrators.

  10. That's called a burnout and the show is worth the smell. No matter how horrible it is on your engine, transmission, and tires, it's fun to watch. Maybe you're not a car or racing fan like me, but you gotta give them some credit for being about to leave a nice cloud of smoke behind. Give them some credit? Please. It's the biggest obstruction to the nice peace where I live. The smoke smells horrible and burns your eyes. These cars spew large ugly black smoke and totally make my nice fresh air neighborhood look bad. If they want to burnout, do it in your homeshizzle, not in the nice once-clean neigborhood I CALL HOME. You go ahead and pretend your neighborhood is perfect, that you're perfect, and that they're horrible people destroying your perfect life. If someone did a burnout in front of my house, I would probably take a picture if it was good enough. Hell, if they had those tired that cause colored smoke, it'd take a video so I could watch it again and again. But you know, I'm not perfect like you and my neighborhood isn't perfect like yours.

I dated a girl that I guess would be considered emo. She seemed depressed quite a bit, but I don't know how much of it was just for show or to get more attention from me.. But she was a cutter and that's not attractive in a girl.. Needless to say she's now another ex-gf (but the cutting isn't the only reason I broke up with her). But I do have to agree, some emo girls are really attractive. ;)
  12. They're in it for the money. What's so wrong with that? Anways I love their music. The Black Parade wasn't that great of an album imo but Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge was amazing.
  13. It's more or less a gesture saying, "I'm calm, don't try anything". Of course the lady didn't have a gun
  14. Soulja Boy - Crank Dat
  15. No. They aren't. Stop kidding yourself. Yes, yes they are. Maybe you don't like them, but you can't deny he's a hit. And damn the dance to go with Crank Dat is nice.
  16. I choose not to form an opinion without knowing what the kid did. Nobody can say whether the guy was in the wrong or not without that bit of information..

There have been a lot of posts like that lately. Personally, I'm tired of one line jokes that make no sense or just aren't funny. I'd rather read a decent length post, that basically goes nowhere, so I at least have something to respond to..
  18. Chances are, no one here goes to your school.. Yet you ask a question about it anyways? However I can explain that. Over the past year you've grown and now you're looking at a class 1-2 years younger than you. Of course they're going to be smaller. I'm an upperclassman and I'll bet you seem small compared to me. It's a matter of age and genetics. You might think they're smaller than your class was, but that's only because you don't feel like you've grown so you're brain still thinks you're the same size and the freshman are much smaller than you.
  19. If you start seeing a lot more punk and Christian rock, then you'll know I've been listening to my mp3's a lot.. And if Soulja Boy tops the list, then I probably followed through with trying to learn that dance :-s
  20. I think you mean Christian metal. Christian rock definitly exists and I really enjoy it.
  21. As I said in the "Emo" thread, it's human nature to want attention, but not be left out of the crowd at the same time. Being a "gangsta" is going to get people to notice you and still be part of a group at the same time. Nothing wrong with it, however the attention might be negative.
  22. Did you bother to read the thread or did you just throw in 2 simple exercises that have been mentioned again and again for the sake of 1 post count? Did you bother to ignore him, or did you just post a witty remark for the sake of one post count? The same could be said for you. I'm just getting tired of all these 1 line posts from people who didn't bother to read the threads or just want flame wars..
  23. Anyone know where guys like this one keep coming from? They just throw out terrible one liners and it seems like they just want flame wars. I've noticed a couple of them around here lately..
  24. I hope you're not trying to brag about that.. Most girls I know don't like hairy guys. Actually, Kayla is the only girl I know that likes her men hairy :-k
