    .. What? :?
  2. That's called a burnout and the show is worth the smell. No matter how horrible it is on your engine, transmission, and tires, it's fun to watch. Maybe you're not a car or racing fan like me, but you gotta give them some credit for being about to leave a nice cloud of smoke behind.

What good is individuality when it could alienate you? As humans we crave attention, it's just natural to want to fit in and be recognized by your peers, but also to blend in so you're not shunned. We can all pretend to be "individuals" but we're all dressing or acting a certain way to fit in with a group, whether we know it or not. Have you ever noticed you don't often see a guy wearing Hollister clothes hanging out with a guy in all black with lots of chains/[bleep]es? Whether or not you choose to believe it, we all fit into a stereotypical group and we tend to stick with that group. Look at what you're wearing, your favorite hobbies, things like that. Then look at what your friends are wearing, their favorite hobbies, an you'll see you're a lot alike. However, you've probably got a lot in common with a big part of your school but you don't notice it because of the way everyone dresses or acts. Individuality was pushed aside when you entered middle school and officially thrown out the door when you entered high school.
  4. Don't quote me on this one, because it's more of a guess.. I think it may be the idea that they got shot, making them seem tougher. Chances are, they weren't really shot, they just want to look like they did. Now could someone explain to me why threads like these keep popping up? It seems most people here agree stereotyping is bad, then a bunch of these topics come along. But to stay on topic.. I don't have a problem with 'gangstas'. If they want to start something, I welcome them to do it. Their big clothes don't fool me, I know most of them are skinny as hell underneath. Also, I love rap/hip-hop and just being around them a bit makes their slang easy to understand. It's actually kind of funny to listen to them talk sometimes. I heard some guy yell to his girlfriend, "Holla at him fo' me. Tell him ta meet me at mah crib later." I honestly never heard someone call their house a "crib" until that day (aside for MTV Cribs).
  5. Beautiful One - Jeremy Camp I've really been into christian music lately.. That and anything acoustic.. :-k
  6. I went and saw the remake of Halloween a week or 2 ago. It was pretty good. Not good if you don't like senseless murders, tortured animals, and plenty of sex scenes. But I enjoyed it and I'd gladly see it again :)
  7. Bleh, Ja Rule.. I love rap but I can't stand his voice. And who cares if MTV wants to air shows that show gay couples? Turn it off, change the chanel, or block the chanel. Gays have rights to and they shouldn't be kept off tv because someone thinks their kid is going to become gay from watching them.
  8. If you do that, I definitly want pics for proof
  9. How did you just say yes? There are a decent number of graphics cards out there, and you got one without bothering to look into how good it is, if it's worth the extra money, ect..? For what you do, you don't need a fancy graphics card. If your motherboard has it's own onboard video then you don't need to buy anything if you're just playing Runescape and using basic programs. I have an old nVidia GeForce Go 6600 and I can run WoW, Lineage II, and games along those lines just fine..
  10. Looks nice to me, though I'm not a fan of those big mouses. I never found them as "comfortable" as they're said to be..
  11. It's not holding yourself up that helps, it's getting your heart pumping. Both jogging and swimming will do that but jogging will focus the workout on your legs and swimming will distribute the workout between your arms, chest, and legs. Swimming won't be as intense on your legs, but you'll still get a good workout.

How about you take your bad jokes, one liners, and pointless posts to another forum? Seriously, I haven't seen a good post by you..

I haven't cut myself, but I still know to a degree what it's all about. Sure, I lack first-hand experience, but like deloria said, it's not like I have a sheltered life or anything. Cutting isn't something to show off anyway. People poke fun at it because it is arguably the biggest reason why 'emos' are disliked. Thus, the hating occurs. People who cut their wrists, arms, or any other area that shows easily are just looking for attention.

He's acting like nobody here has ever cut before or knows anything about it. Considering I know about it and have experience, I'm not going to let him act like we're all living sheltered lives.

Considering cutting was my form of stress relief when I was depressed a year ago, I somehow think I know a decent bit about cutting.. And I'm not being sarcastic.
  16. My school likes to let us dress how we want. My freshman year I saw a girl wearing a fishnet shirt. I wouldn't have minded if she was good looking, but I wish I hadn't seen her :-X

mEB, what do you happen to wear? Since everyone elses' taste seems to be all wrong, you must know all the fashion secrets, right?
  18. With things like running you should do it daily or only take 1 day off per week. You won't see the benefits if you only do it 3 times a week. I lift weights 3 times a week and I go for muscle so I'll see results, but running doesn't work that way.

Actualy no-emo is not short for emothional, its short for a music style called emotrance(if i remember corectly)-its something like metal, but even worse, most of songs are about cuttin urself, suicide etc., so only real emo's listen to that, most of people who call them selfes emos are just pozers because many people think emo=cool And no im not emo :ohnoes:(hip hop 4 life) So I'm emo because I like Never Too Late by Three Days Grace? That song was played again and again on the radio around here. So there must be a lot of emos in Iowa  Let's try something in this thread. Let's use more facts instead of opinions like "only emos listen to emo music" or "all emos are cutters". There are some great people to talk with around here, but these little kids like to ruin the conversations..

Did you bother to read the thread or are you just [developmentally delayed]ed?
  21. She has been on msn in the msn daily chat, pretty much every day. I've been trying to get your attention to go on there, but to no avail.... Maybe I'll sign on tonight. I shouldn't have anything going on :-k
  22. Jogging is going to mainly work your legs and your heart. Plus when you jog chances are you'll sweat which will help you lose weight (but don't forget to replace that lost liquid by drinking). Swimming on the other hand will probably work a lot more of your upper body if you don't kick so much but it will also work your heart. Personally, I'd take jogging over swimming but I suppose it's more up to personal choice.

  24. Wow, I've referred to her as Suzi for so long I forgot her name was SuziAngel on here :-s @Barihawk: I know Suzi really well and she's the kind that can take a joke. She knows we're not serious. Lighten up. Speaking of Suzi.. I haven't noticed her around here for DGI lately.. And I haven't had time for MSN so does anyone know what she's been up to?
