Basically if a cop is writing speeding tickets for going 1 mph over the speed limit or for just any little traffic violation that would generally be overlooked, it's probably about time for them to have their quota filled and they came up short. They're rather have a lot of people pissed at them than their boss on them about writing more tickets. In a way, quotas could be good or bad. They keep the cops doing their jobs, but if the scenerio above happens then we're all SOL.

Mine had a problem with freezing too. I finally figured out the file it kept trying to play was corrupt so it would just lock up while it tried to play it, but eventually would give up and throw me an error message. I basically just had to delete the file and download a new one and it works just fine. Basically, if the song doesn't have a length next to it on the software, it won't play on your Zune. And yeah, the headphones break easily. my cord wore out in just a few months but that's because I wrapped the headphones around the Zune. However, the sound quality of the headphones that come with the Zune is very nice. I'd say they're some of the best headphones I've ever used.

Cedar Rapids, Iowa. And intermediate drivers license doesn't permit you to drive between 12:30 AM and 5:30 AM without special permission. Also, our walking curfew is something like 11:30 around here. There's a lot of vandalism and such so I guess it's ok that we have that in place. It's almost homecoming week so the cops are problably going to be all over the place.. *prays they lay off Friday night*

If you get a Belkin case, the thing is damned near indestructable. I think it's near indestructable as is. I forgot to mention, I had my Zune in a cupholder when I had my car accident. The police found it under God knows where but it wasn't broken, the screen wasn't cracked or scratched more than before, and it works like new. The only thing that happened was the "lock" switch was a little sticky for a while but it's loosened up again with use. That thing hit the dashboard at 50 mph and didn't get a single scratch.. Don't f*ck with Microsoft :ohnoes:

I figure you're just applying for a position like cashier/stocker? Don't even sweat it. I worked at a grocery store and I swear half the questions the manager asked me didn't even pretain to the job. He asked the usual "How can you help the store?", "Are you a hard worker?", and a few scenerio questions and how I'd respond. But then he asked me my favorite color. Then my favorite band, animal, letter, etc. Honestly, I had no clue why he even cared to know that but it was simple and painless. Just be sure to dress up and such for the interview ;) Good luck! If you like the idea of lots of add-ons and accesories, iPod is the way to go. There's no doubt they have the easiest to find accesories in stores. Plus, they're easy to keep in your pocket without having the bulg saying "OMG I've got an MP3 player!". I owned an old iPod Shuffle a few years back and the battery life was amazing. It easily got 14 hours out of a single charge. The software was pretty nice for the iPod. It was slow at times but I never just wanted to punch the computer screen. If you're not big into iPods, I've heard nothing bad about Creative Zen. I personally don't know anyone that owns one, nor have I seen ANY accessories in stores. So I can't really say much about these. Now I own a Zune. It has a nice big screen for watching videos and it only comes in a 30gb model so I have plenty of space for my music, photos, etc. The software isn't too bad, but it's incredibly slow at times and to the point I just want to punch my screen. My screen scratched easily, but that happens with any MP3 player you have in your pocket. I'm not such a big fan of the overalll size of the Zune. It's pretty damn bulky. You can always tell when I have it in my pocket so it generally stays in my backpack when I'm not listening to it. That battery life isn't too terrible. I generally get 5 or 6 hours of just music, but videos drain the battery in no time. Other than that, you can venture into brands like Sony and such but I've never known anyone (aside from possible people here) to have real great luck with anything but the 3 brands above. And don't forget to buy a warrenty with your MP3 player. If it breaks, battery life goes to hell, etc. you'll be VERY glad you got the warrenty. Also, you're going to get a lot of fanboy responses. Make your decision based on the requirements you want and what tends to get positive feedback, not just what anyone tells you to get.

That's sucks you got caught. I've broken curfew quite a few times but I never got caught. I rolled up the windows (dark tinted), turned down my music, and drove like I was 80 until I got home (or where ever I was headed). LOL There are a few nice cops in my area but most of them are [wagon] holes. They nail high school kids for doing 2 or 3 mph over the speed limit. Hell, I don't care if they get the guys doing 80 in the 25 zone but leave those poeple who are driving better than that 80 year old in the wrong lane alone (Seriously, I saw an old guy driving down the wrong lane yesterday). I have to say the nicest cops I know are my neighbors. Almost every firework is illegal here in Iowa but they let us fire off whatever we want and even join in. When I had my car accident the cops questioning me in the ER decided to play good cop/bad cop. Trust me, that's not fun and I almost at the point I was going to refuse to talk anymore without a lawyer present. I told them I didn't have time to check the spedometer before I crashed, and he kept going on about how fast I was going (he estimated the speed between 45 and 50 but kept asking me how fast I was going), how I was a complete hazard to other drivers, and how I should never be allowed to drive again. Yeah, some of them can be TOTAL [bleep]s around here.. And I think it's mostly thanks to that cop that I lost my license until January..

And here we have a failed attempt to be cool. Doing drugs and drinking doesn't make you cool. But don't let my opinion stop you from doing what you do best. ;)

You'd think that wouldn't be very hard.. But we have security cameras everywhere in my school. There are multiple per hallway, enough to see the entire cafeteria, plenty to monitor the parking lots.. It's rediculous..

Yeah, I think it's mostly a US thing. Keep an eye out on MTV. They have a show about high school pranks on there. I think it's called High School Stories or something along those lines. I've seen some good ones on there, but the show isn't on very often :(

I've still got a year to plan my senior prank.. I'd go all out with something but the school officials all over have taken the fun out of the pranks by charging for animal cruelty if you use animals, or just getting the police involved for little harmless things. I think there would be some amazing senior pranks out there if there wasn't the fear of being hit with criminal charges for doing them.

Acting mine amuses me :) No, I haven't ever been streaking but I'm thinking one of these days I'm just gonna do it for the hell of it.

Gratz on hitting puberty :lol: In all seriousness, my voice cracked for 2 or 3 months when I was 14. A month when I was 16 (and my voice got deeper during this time). And here and there it happens now (17 years old). It all depends on your body as to how long it will last, but don't worry about it. If anyone gives you [cabbage], they have to go through it too so you can do it right back.

One of the computers teachers tried that last year. Funny thing was, everyone ended up bringing their PSP or DS and playing that instead. So they finally gave up because of that and the fact that our computer teacher is [developmentally delayed]ed and kept messing up the program and locking everyones' computer during class. Personally I think it's stupid that they try to stop you for getting online when your work is done. I mean, if you're behind in class then they have a reason to keep you from playing games. But if you're like me and do everything you have to in no time then why the hell shouldn't you be allowed online?

I'm Christian and I have a story behind why I've converted, but I'm not up to telling it here and now. However, I'm not the kind of Christian that will try to force you to go to church, tell you my beliefs and ignore yours, or even tell you that Creationism is how we came to be. You have your beliefs and I have mine (even if all of mine don't follow Christianity).

Usually if you just Google a line from the long you'll be able to find lyrics with the song title and name of the band. But yeah, radio anouncers do need to do a better job of telling you what's playing. I usually stay one step ahead of the game with new songs after I hear them on the radio (if I like them) so I usually end up telling others the title/band. But anyone who goes off an makes fun of you for not knowing the title of a song is a moron.

I see no reason you should waste your time posting these kinds of topics when we could all be watch the news or reading the paper. There's a serious lack of a good topics atm imo. Most of them happen to be these news topics which mostly get replies like, "Oh, that's a shame" or "LOL suck to be him". I think the only good news article on here is the one about the mother having sex with her kids. And that would only be better if I was allowed to go off with a bunch of perverted jokes..

Reality tv isn't real enough for me. Too much of it is planned and it isn't even reality. Imo, I'll watch hours of music videos on IMF or Fuse before I'll watch reality tv..

If it tastes or looks good, I don't care how it's killed. I won't eat less meat because the animals have to be killed for that. Hell, I'm upping my protein intake by eating a lot more meat. It must suck to be a tasty animal. Honestly, these topics don't really mean anything around here. The majority of users are impressionable 13 year olds, who can't make a difference because their parents buy the food and such. Imo, go join PETA if you're that concerned.

And then Saw V, and VI, and VII. . . and XIII. Aren't there supposed to be 13 of them eventually? I never heard about them going that far with them but I'm all for hours of senseless killing :)

I find movies based off real events more fascinating than scary (if they are meant to be scary) :-? Same here. However, there has not been a movie I've watched that I would consider to be really scary. Someone out there needs to make a movie that will make me [cabbage] myself while I'm watching it. Then we'll have a scary movie on our hands ;)
