With RWT and autoers gone (come January, at least), I can see the prices of many raw goods (logs, flax, essence, etc.) increasing in price because of the fact that, without auoers acquiring and selling large numbers of them, the supply will drop signifcantly while the demand stays relatively steady (even if large numbers of people quit and/or can't make money anymore, the demand/supply ratio will still be changedin favor of higher prices). At least, that's how I look at it. :P

I'm glad that you like looking for solutions tothe macroer problem, but this simply won't work. If this were implemented, autoers would just slaughter men in Lumbridge for a couple hours and then use mith or addy, if not just going all the way to rune. All that would happen, is you'd start seeing level 20 (or whatever) autoers instead of level 3.

I think the main thing about stuff like what you described is because of people trying to empty their banks of stuff that they want the money for, but don't feel like taking the time to sell (I'm doing this too :XD: ). Depending on how many people are doing this and their supplies, it could take a while for some things to level out. As for the prices rising by 1 gp, I have no idea why Jagex would manually limit prices and control the market (as in set a minimum minimum like with what seems to have happened to gold and several other items). The only reason, in my opinion, for a government, in real life (again, my opinion), to control a market is to keep a monopoly from charging outrages prices by forcing it to divide into smaller companies and creating more competition. The only problem here is that there really isn't any possible way for people to create monopolies on Runescape due to all the competition that is readily available. The only reason for Jagex to set price limits is to stop RWT, but to do this, they just need to put up a maximum price (either manually or by saying no more than x% over the market price) that is adjusted periodically according to what things are selling for. This would allow people to set their own prices and keep people from just saying they'll buy item x for the lowest price effectively lowering prices due to the fact that not many people are selling for that price (or because everyone trying to sell for more than the minimum is getting impatient and lowering their prices making price drop more). There are probably some flaws in all of this, but I'm tired and don't feel like trying to find them and think of soutions. :XD:
