So an Ice barrage is going to max at 300 without boosts? What the hell man, isn't the max hp 450? Everything gets multiplied by 10, so I would assume max hp (erm constitution) is 990.

Yeah I definitely agree, weapons will soon get out of hand as well. I don't know what better weapon they can release now that we have ags's and claws. Both can two hit any player with the right stats and a lot of luck.

I would definitely believe that, but that's still pretty low. I've seen some 35-40m santa offers but I don't doubt a 20m offer considering this ridiculous panic. I really wish I had a massive amount of junk to work with, you could make an absolute fortune off of this santa craze.

You got owned, you can buy h'weens for like 20m cash. That's incorrect. I've been on the forums and in world 2 since this ordeal began, I didn't get the best deal, but I got a very good one. It's one of the lowest offers I've seen. Some of the lower offers are adding 10-15m cash If you did see a blue sold for 20 ( which you didn't) it was an extremely rare occurrence and doesn't reflect the general consensus of prices.

I am absolutely loving this santa crash, just bought a blue mask for 60m cash, no lie. If you've got extra cash I would highly recommend checking out world 2.

A group of players completely bought them out on the ge, as far as I know it was the first successful santa buyout since the ge came out. I wouldn't call it a buy out. It was more like an attempt to merchant. I was easily able to get hold of 4 santas from the GE by putting them at max after they started rising. they're not completely bought out. i still see in RSOF there are plenty of players selling patches of 20, 30, or 40 santas at once for partyhats and edibles. No I don't mean bought out as in completely impossible to get, that would be ridiculous. I'm saying it's now very difficult to get them from the ge, previous to this they were primarily traded on the ge, I think that time is permanently over. I think this santa thing is a really big turning point for rares. There are now no rares that can be easily purchased over the ge, they all must be bought with risings or through junk trading, generally.

What matters to the economy is not number of registered accounts -- whether that is 10K or 10M matters not. What matters is the number of skillers active in the economy. Your point about the 169 new worlds would be valid if they were all F2P worlds -- but in fact most of them are NOT F2P worlds. And I made a direct comparison to Perfect World -- which currently claims 50 million players. And which started significantly later than Runescape. Of COURSE the PW numbers are just everyone who ever signed up for an account. But so are the Runescape numbers. Really it is a question of competing business models. There are basically 3. There is everyone pays (example WoW) except for "free weeks" for people to try it out for free for a week -- if they like it they become paying members. There is free subset of content (skills, geography, quests, monsters, etc.) but for full access you pay. That is the Runescape model. There is the totally free skills, geography, quests, monsters model, but you pay for special weapons, clothing, etc. That is the Perfect World model. Of the 3, the PW model offers the most to free to play players. You can go everywhere, do all the quests, fight all the monsters. BUT. If you want the cool clothing (and the girl players DO) and the cool flying mounts -- that's stuff from the "cash items" shop. Also "getting married" in the game requires buying items from the cash shop. The simple facts are that for F2P, the PW model is simply better. And that is why they claim 50 million users for a game that has only been out for what -- a year and a half? Back to my point -- the in game economy is based on having lots of active in game F2P players cranking away. If that groups dwindles....well. And lets be realistic. Those 50M PW players didn't come here for a reason. Why not? Ok great. But in that entire argument you left out the part of how you have come to the conclusion that the f2p population is dwindling. The account numbers are obviously exaggerated, but that doesn't mean more people are quitting than joining. What is giving you the notion that people are quitting? Because they don't get a double xp weekend? Because people that pay for the game get more benefits than those that ride the backs of the paying members?

3 million f2pers disagree with you, and the future players (whom are growing at an exponential rate everyday), will also most likely disagree with you. The game has added 169 new worlds to the game since it's start to deal with overpopulation, they will likely need more soon, judging by the average number of players per world in prime time. If this game is dying I think I must be missing something.

it will take over a year for the hook to get anywhere near street price (it's only going up a couple hundred thousand every 2 or 3 days). Pirate hooks are only useful to already established merchanters, people who have done multiple high priced trades that have given them a surplus of junk and high street priced items. If you had the hook now it would be useful if you were looking for royal outfit pieces, but that's a rare opportunity. It would only be useful for items that have just recently come out and have the combination of a low ge price and an obnoxious street price.

TBH, FME the DR of the DFH is 1/500-1/700, IMO.

I would sell it for 10 d bows right now, you could make some serious bank off of that, if you play it right.

No one will sell for straight cash because of street prices, it seems like the best way is to work up to higher rares from lower ones (I think). Currently I have 2 red masks, 1 blue and 3 greens, plus 90m cash. I'm not even sure what my masks are worth, I've seen red for over 100m and green for 70, haven't seen blue. What are the current street prices of the phats, and which ones if any are in my price range? If they are in my range how would I ultimately get to one through trades. I have a basic understanding of junk but have no actual junk. I'm horrible with things like this so any help is greatly appreciated.

With the recent massive santa buy out 2 days ago it's kind of a cruel gift for me. I've had my santa for quite sometime, and If I had the junk, people are buying them for 50-70m a piece ( ge is around 43 right now ). I literally have no junk and have no idea how to get it, how are people getting 20million gps in junk? I don't understand how you could just get all that from god wars or something. They have to be buying it, but what's the point of that? If you buy 20million in junk then sell an item for 20million over you have just wasted your time, right?

Friends last a lot longer if you have similar in-game interests. I love clan wars, so this is where I meet most of my friends. I'll team up with another person and find out I enjoy talking and fighting with them, we'll become friends and do it again. So just go about your in-game activities like you normally would and start up conversations, don't be too trigger happy and add everyone you meet though, this is especially bad the higher leveled you are, a lot of people will just talk to you for your level.
