March 15, 200719 yr Hello there fellow Tip.Iter, and welcome to This guide is for a fishing / cooking technique, a Fish-Cook-Drop one. Head over here With this inventory First slot for feathers, second for rod, and a tinderbox. Equip any axe (doesn't need to be a good one, but helps). Okay, now we're getting started. Do this: Now, let's fish. Right-click on the fishing spot and choose 'Lure Fishing Spot'. Open a new browser window, go here, and read a little. When you hear the sound indicating the inventory is full, switch back to the RuneScape-window. Now, if there already is a fire, cook your fish on it. If there isn't, drop a trout and chop a tree. Light the log, pick up the trout you dropped and cook it all. Now, since you turned on the sound, you can switch back to the forums (or whatever site you're browsing), while your character cooks. And when you no longer hear the sound of fish cooking, switch back to RuneScape again. When you're done, drop it all. Ignore the level-20s asking for free food, just drop. When it comes to dropping don't realease the right-click untill you're done. :-k Did that make sense? Well, use this technique: ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Right-click fish. ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Left-click the Drop option. ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãââ Release both the Left- and Right-mousebuttons. This means you're holding the right-click while moving the mouse to Drop. Using this makes dropping (in most cases) a lot easier. Drop all fish in your inventory, and repeat. Rate hate or yatta yatta yatta do whatever you want, make sure you post a comment though. No, I really don't play anymore.
March 15, 200719 yr pretty nice guide. Instead of having to hold the right mouse button, just switch mouse options to 1 and all you have to do is click the left button each time.
March 15, 200719 yr Ignore the level-20s asking for free food, just drop. In most cases, if you trade your inv. of fish to some begger, it will be a LOT faster than just droping. Good technique, but well known. Feel free to HYT me in-game =)~~3,483rd to 99 Thieving, Feb 22, 2008~~"There's never enough time to do all the nothing you want." - Calvin (& Hobbes)
March 15, 200719 yr Author Thanks for the replies. :D I know, but if you get used to giving your fish to the people, you will find yourself saying "free food here!!!!!" even when noone is taking it. And regarding the one-mouse button thingy, in my opinion it lags, but ut's up to you. Again, thanks for the comments :P No, I really don't play anymore.
March 15, 200719 yr My suggestion is to bring full armor and a scimmy to kill river trolls for fun. You WILL get bored. Also you can use the never-ending fires in Longhall and Peksa's Helmet shop, so no need for a tinderbox or axe. ~It's Super Effective! March 15, 200719 yr Good Tip, but the part where you said if there isn't chop a tree and cook the fish. You don't have to do that. There are fires in Barb Village that constantly burn. That way you have two more inventory spaces available. The first were you dropped the fish and second your tinderbox. Also there are usually player-killerrs & beggers standing there say "I need free food!" So you don't need to drop the food. 98% Of teenagers surround their minds with rap music, if you're part of the 2% that stayed with rock, put this in your signature, ROCK IS BETTER
March 16, 200719 yr you could save inventory space by not carrying an axe and a tinderbox by using the fire in the (1) helmet hut or (2) the place where the beer and cooked meat respawn. There are a fire in each that never go out and are still close by. OK guide 6/10 1100 total achieved 03/02/09 880thousandth to reach it :P1200 total achieved 29/09/11 1.23millionth to reach it :P
March 16, 200719 yr This guide is for F2P right? Members have faster methods I think. But for F2P this could work. ^^
March 16, 200719 yr eating is slow because there's an assosciated animation. Also, include time trials. Dropping, trading, run/bank at edge, walk/bank at edge.
March 16, 200719 yr eat 1 and drop 2 is fastest Hey Nicrune007 , Whats Your Username? 99 Ranged on 2/6/07 99 Hit Points on 9/5/08 99 Defense on 26/4/08 99 Attack on 14/2/09 99 Strength on 25/2/09 99 Slayer on 13/9/09\:D/
March 16, 200719 yr Author Thanks for all wonderful comments :D Take a look at this: .com/2xcyct]Me Dropping an Inventory of Fish It's fast. ANd about using the fires in Barbarian Village, that's a cool idea, but the trees is right next to the spots, meaning you have to walk like three squares or something. No, I really don't play anymore.
March 16, 200719 yr Is there a noise for when the fishing spot moves? I've read while fishing and that's always a problem because the spot moves before I finish the load. You end up standing there like an idiot w/o fishing or moving until you switch back.
March 16, 200719 yr Author No, unfortunately not. Luckily, I think Jagex has decreased the chance of a fishing spot moving, because it happens like one time an hour (at least for me). No, I really don't play anymore.
March 16, 200719 yr A good tip for when you are dropping is that you can drop 2 and eat one. That way every 2 fish the eating animation is done and you save a click. "Being smart is worth ten times more than athletic ability" -Bobby Knight (winningest coach in NCAA Basketball History)
March 16, 200719 yr Author Yeah,, tried that out and it workds real well. Thanks! No, I really don't play anymore.
April 14, 200719 yr Thanks. I level a lot faster now. Thoroughly retired, may still write now and again
April 15, 200719 yr Is there a noise for when the fishing spot moves? Yeah, it's sorta like a "swish" kind of sound (when the spot disappears)
April 16, 200719 yr You really don't need to hold the right-click. Just right click (let go) move mouse down to drop, then left click. Nice guide though :P
