March 22, 200719 yr D long is stronger, yet slower. I choose longswords any day, even if strength training. Besides, the special for the long is better than the scimmy IMO.

March 22, 200719 yr dlong ftw :) it was my first and best dragon weapon. i have ddp, but mainly i use dlong for melee fighting 1500+ total 89 cmb; 1600+ total and under 93 cmb. 02/04/07 reached all skills 60+ under lvl 90 cmb. 07/19/07 reached all skills 70+ at lvl 93 cmb.Prayer is good for herbs

And a spec is never a reason to pick a weapon. I maxed def long before I started with att and str (88 each when I had 99 def), so I've had to do str training. There's absolutely no comparison between a long and a scim...scim destroys it. March 22, 200719 yr longs arnt much slower than scims i have known this for whiel i always use scim for str traing but oly cos i cba going to gt long. when im f2p pking i have rune long/ r2h but whip pwn all weps (cept iorn dags )

March 22, 200719 yr I prefer the balanced attack bonuses of the dragon longsword. We shouldn't be berating anybody about their choice between a dragon longsword or a dragon scimitar because its their character and thus their choice. Same with a granite maul. I don't need to deal with immature players that call me a "noob" just because I don't have a granite maul. I prefer the balanced quality of a longsword over any weapon, any day of the week.
